    As a demure and civilized French race fan, and possessing a FIA Rally competition license, I say ""F" the major domos of F1...and the horses they rode in on. Sport Pimps, one and all, like the IOC.

      F1 acts like the price cap was to make it more competitive as opposed to justifying cutting down massively on expenses to increase profit😂

    All F1 wants is US money. With three races and lots of sponsors/ TV money, they don't want it to change.

    No reference to a US Congressional inquiry into Liberty Media’s reasoning behind its refusal. GM has been offering EV to the public for decades. Oldsmobile EV1 comes to mind. The European manufacturers, especially Mercedes, may feel threatened. Also Andretti has schooled many of them by winning Formula E and growing dominance in prototype sports cars.

  • @connecticutaggie

    Andretti also has the support of the US Congress who has made antitrust complaints against FOM and Liberty Media alleging that FOM’s rejection of Andretti's application “appears to be driven by the current line-up of European Formula 1 race teams, many of which are affiliated with foreign automobile manufacturers that directly compete with American automotive companies like GM. It is unfair and wrong to attempt to block American companies from joining Formula 1, which could also violate American antitrust laws."

    I can't believe the pimples in charge can be so stupid. To be "competitive" one has to start someplace. There are already many back markers in this sport. So, it is all about the "money"! What is the difference if you have 11 teams or 15 teams?

    If this was ANYONE but Andretti Racing, I might say the 'new' team won't be competitive, as was the dig. They need a team that is 'good at racing'. But this IS Andretti for crying out loud.
    They have done well racing anything with wheels except baby buggies. And that is left out as their is no governing body to start that type of racing for profit.
    This is F1 wanting American money, but not a 'provincial' F1 team as rude, crude and socially unacceptable as Andretti's group. Well, lah, dee, dah!
    Here's a hint. If F1 wants even MORE American Yankee Dog dollars, let Andretti in!

  • @billmartin1663
    @billmartin1663 Месяц назад

    They'll never let Andretti become competitive. F1 is not won on the track. It's won behind closed doors. And Andretti will never be issued a key. F1 can't wait to humiliate him . . . again. (What a phenomenal, ungodly expensive mistake on Andretti's part!)

  • @billymitchell4722

    If F1 doesn't let Andretti in, then I think F1 should not come to the United States. F1 is a scripted series. A lot of people here in th United States could give less than a dam about F1.

    Now the US Congress is looking at F1 in regards to the Sherman Act. You know, Anti-Monopoly laws. F1 is a monopoly, but most sports are able to get away with it. F1 may be in danger of not being allowed to do ANY business in the US. Oh, thats an issue as Liberty Media is a US company they would be forced to divest F1 or sell it. Of course if Andretti gets in this could all go away. This is going to get huge.

    andrettie deserves his place and will run rings around 70% from day one it was better when there were 24 or more cars i now would rather spend my income and time on touring cars one make and indie amongst others for more excitement !!!! having been a fan and visited fi all around europe may times since mansel days even through the poor/boring follow the leader years but i stopped going three years ago despite family and friends ( that i would take with me many times )pressurising me to go again and have also stopped watching every thing f1 as coverage is too much, too much repetition to self envolved presenters and of less interest as a result. i would love to see 12 teams only racing two cars each not providing second or third teams that will never compete with the first teams the politics / business currently behind the sport are hurting it badly and the fans for life see this
