      Jagr won't stop. The guy is a God. He said himself that he believes you can train your body to fight through anything. Whether it's age or a minor injury, you can do it and get right back out on the ice.
      Personal guess, but I believe we'll be seeing jag's till 2020-2022. As long as players don't smash him, but they shouldn't cause he's older and he's a legend.

    • @catshumpcats3
      @catshumpcats3 7 лет назад

      Venom, look up gordie howe.He officially retired at 52!
      Yes, the game was slower, for sure. But good players have respect for the old ones like Jagr or Cullen (pens).
      They make a point to not check them as hard to get the puck, because they've established that they're great, humble players and they don't deserve to be slammed just for a puck...
      *irrelevant story below*
      Proud to say I have jagrs signature back when he was on the pens (my mom met him on a train when he was with his mom, his mom couldn't speak any english but he was getting better at it, at that time).

    I'll never understand why goalies don't take the HASEK approach in tight, poke check or sprawl out to cover the net, he cant do much if you legit make him hesitate quickly. You're not going to stop a player in that tight with good hands trying to wait the player out. Look how in tight he is lol and you're just watching him make 5 moves. By the way mullet is the man, JAGR should just play until he's 55 and use a Cane, he would still produce.

    • @088l
      @088l 7 лет назад

      same. i understand the necessity to being technical and positionally sound n all but like you said, when in tight, its all about stopping that puck at all costs. with that said, hasek was also just a beast being able to move like that with goalie equipment on. today's gear is probably even harder since it's bigger.

    • @levelsabove7631
      @levelsabove7631 7 лет назад +1

      I played in the OHL and JR.A and I was a pretty good shootout player and breakaways. I also worked as a shooting instructor at a goalie school and the reason why I'm saying all this is I just never understood why goalie coaches don't teach goalies to be more aggressive in those scenarios. I understand if you hesitate or you act too quickly, they can dance around you, or you try to poke check and they can just go quick five hole. But you can also react quickly or sprawl out, like for example if he goes down and stacks the pads in that close and covers half the net what can JAGR really do in that tight especially before the D gets back in position to help out. Some goalies are better than others on breakaways and shootouts but some are just terrible. I watch players just literally come in whether its fast or even slow motion making literally 10 moves in so tight back n fourth and the goalie is just focused on the puck and before you know it it's just easily in the back of the net. Whenever a player gets in close enough you should be attempting a poke check and be sure of it with out hesitating. I cringe when I watch goalies in spots like this where you can be big enough and with all the equipment on to get on that puck when he's in that close. I understand technical and positional sound but I really don't know why it's not being taught and developed into there game, players are too skilled and too quick and fast that you probably aren't going to out wait him if you're allowing him to get in that close.

    • @andrewpersaud4144
      @andrewpersaud4144 7 лет назад +1

      lol this is a nhl allstar player we're talking about here not some rec league. if gibson even tried to poke check in this situation i am pretty sure jagr would just slide it in with ease.

    1 Wayne Gretzky 2,857
    2 JAROMIR JAGR 1,901
    The more I think about it, the more my mind gets blown,
    almost 1000 more points than 2nd!
    1 Wayne Gretzky 894
    2 Gordie Howe 801
    3 JAROMIR JAGR 760
    134 goals to go, if he plays until 55 (highly doubtful) he could break that record..
    but really he'd have to do it in 37 years what the Great One did in 20!
