      +Abrar Arif Great comment. I had forgotten that as well. I just looked it up, and if he was in the NHL for those years, he would easy have over 2000 pts., and most of his career was spent in the 'dead puck' era, not the high flying 70's and 80's like Gretzky, Messier, Francis and Dionne.

    • @666XLordRavielX999
      @666XLordRavielX999 8 лет назад +2

      OneEyedKeys the early 1990s was high scoring, fortunately that wasn't during his prime so no one can say his stats were inflated.

      It would be Gordie Howe for me. Could win scoring titles and was one of the strongest and most physical athletes of all-time. I will say Jagr isn't far behind. So funny how in the early 90's if you weren't a Penguins fan you hated this guy but now he is so deservingly beloved by everyone.

      Maybe as far as offensive forwards goes. He had skating, power, insane puckhandling, passing skills, shot, everything. But no defense. So as an offensive forward he was the complete package, but guys like Howe, Trottier, Potvin, Messier were complete, all around players

    One of my best and most favorite moves as a winger is the one I got from Jagr. When the pass is coming to you across the the front of the goal and instead of just shooting it, you take it and go across the goalie and go to your back hand. Still scoring like that after all these years. Thank you Jaromir!

    Back when we didn’t have an NHL team in Texas they would bring in two teams to play an exhibition game, one year they brought The Detroit Red Wings vs The Pittsburgh Penguins and it was awesome to see Steve Yzerman & Mario Lemieux but little did we know that a 17 year old Jaromir Jagr would turn out to be one of the best players in NHL history and I got to see him play in that exhibition game. The other great part of that night was when everyone was standing in line to see Mario I seen Stevie Y standing outside all alone and got to talk with him for several minutes and get my rookie card signed by him…what an unforgettable night it was….👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    And the king of even strength hockey. For example in 1995-96 when Mario
    won the Art Ross with 161 points and 82 even strength points, Jagr had
    149 points and season record 98 even strength points. Mario made his
    vision of the ice and his skills come to better use, but Jagr was
    instead all raw technical skill and strength, that is why he was such an
    exciting player to watch too, especially one-on-one (or one-on-three
    ;)). If Mario had Jagr's stickhandling I think you'd have the perfect offensive player... or perhaps it would just be a big mess of a mix :P Of course Lemieux was a very good stickhandler too (like most other attributes), but more sweeping style, and less about beating guys one-on-one.

    Crazy delay to the hall of fame. He will find his love for the game again and enhance his skills toward 60 and beyond. This will mark my journey into middle age as Jagr continues to smash Czech div 1 or 2.

      I was in the last row in the first level right behind the net he scored into along with my dad. We jumped so high that our hands went up through the suspended ceilings above us. Deafening! I can still see the scoreboard lit up with JAGR!
