I was at Chara's last game. For him to score his final goal in the final minute of his final game while once again playing for the team that drafted him 20+ years earlier was nothing short of magic.
I was there as well but I’m a huge lightning fan, had to stand up and applause it was awesome, plus all lightning players shook his hand after, really cool moment
Brian Bickell's last game always gets to me because of the fact that he had to stop playing hockey because he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I went to his last home game as a Carolina hurricane and it was absolutely amazing to be a part of that.
yknow, i havent been apart of the hockey community for a few years now. but i used to love it. coming back and seeing all yhe players that i grew up watching, all retired. makes me really sad
Without a doubt, the best last career goal of all time is still Bill Barilko. Imagine your last goal in the NHL being the overtime Stanley Cup winner. What a legend. (there is something real poetic about the Howe and Sedin goals though being family goals. Brother to brother, and son to father, heh)
It’s kinda bumming me out that so many of the players I’ve watched since I discovered my love of hockey are retiring. I’ve been with them most if not all of their career.
I may be a Detroit fan watching this and shedding a tear over the goals of key contributors to the Red Wing empire, but I also miss the Sedin brothers. Two of the greatest-if not the best-to skate for the Nucks, and total class acts all around.
Pavel Bure in this era, or the 80s, coulda been the all time goals leader. The guy scored like 60 goals multiple times in the trap era.... definitely an almost underrated legend who easily coulda put 70-80 up in a different era. But it's cool that he is the only guy to have his final goal be on a penalty shot, pretty badass tbh!
I wore 26 during my 04-05 roller hockey season after the Bolts brought the Cup home for the first time. I adored St Louis as my little 12 year old self. Seeing him score that final goal always brings a tear to my eye.
It is sad seeing some of these cause guys like Yzerman and Sakic or Pronger scored goals not knowing it would be the last (all three suffered career ending injuries) but then you have great moments like Daniel Sedin putting away the OT winner in last game of season and you also got the weird ones like Modano , Alfredsson scoring in Red WIng uniforms after long careers with other teams.
Out of all the players who ever played in the NHL there are only 60 who was able to score their last goal of their career before they retired! Amazing!!!!
Hardest part of this video is seeing all of these stars in jerseys they aren't known for (IE Chara in islanders, Subban in a New Jersey, Spezza as a Leaf, Federov in caps)
It was so stupid that Marty St. Louis scored his last goal against the Lightning for the Rangers. All because Yzerman left him off Team Canada in 2014 and he threw such a fit about it that he demanded a trade.
If I was ever in the league I just want one thing, the Stanley cup but if I could have another thing it would be first game first goal and last game last goal 🙏🙏
I remember spezza last goal I was at my grandparents my parents wanted to leave after the 3rd I had a feeling lesfs we’re gonna comeback and plus Mathews was one away from 60 but Spezza ended up Scoring and they won ina shoutout
3:42 I’ll always pretend that Spezza’s last goal was in the series against Tampa Bay… that weird one that bounced over Vasilevskiy in game 3 4 or 5 maybe? Spezza technically didn’t touch the puck just barely missing it but if he did it would’ve been his, initially I thought he had tapped it in until the replay showed he just missed it by a millimeter

Can you give me tips on how to become a successful nhl youtuber?
You should do an honorable mention "Final Point" clip for Getzlaf. That thing was a beauty.
Chara won my heart for that goal he got for his last goal♥️
I was at Chara's last game. For him to score his final goal in the final minute of his final game while once again playing for the team that drafted him 20+ years earlier was nothing short of magic.
So was I man (islanders fan) don’t get confused lmao
so was i. i was actually on the tv broadcast, 5 rows behind the goal. what a moment. don’t even care that we lost
I was also there. Almost had to shed a tear when the stadium was screaming charas name
I was to cheering on the lightning
I was there as well but I’m a huge lightning fan, had to stand up and applause it was awesome, plus all lightning players shook his hand after, really cool moment
I just know Danny Sedin is gonna be in here and I know i'm gonna cry because I was at that game and what a moment it was.
I was there as well 😢what a moment
Yep
Same! What a moment that was....
Best game I’ve ever been too. I’ll remember that moment forever
First player I thought of was Daniel when I saw this video
Seeing Chara scoring in his final game was incredible
Marleau pots his final one in against the Kings and Thornton against the Ducks. Absolutely poetic
Thornton still has a chance to get picked up at the trade deadline, he’s still a free agent
@@hypn0298 Don’t think it’s gonna happen sadly
m.s.l scored on tampa
Chara’s got me. I was watching that game live and I was crying when he scored. Legend for senators, bruins, and especially islanders.
Bigger sens legend than for the islanders and capitals
bro forgot the sens
He played 1 year for the Caps lmao
@@zednik4hart i forgot he played for sens 😅
@@myyritenut yeah one year and he didn’t do anything
Daniel Sedin with the OT winner from Henrik in their final home game was... really something special
Thank you for putting Zdeno first. For me, as a Slovak, he was an incredible player and legend
Realizing that most of these players i had hockey cards of growing up, trading with friends and are all now retired. 2000's hockey was something else.
Gordie Howe last goal… 😂
I never see a backhand goal like this, from the blue line.
😂
Brian Bickell's last game always gets to me because of the fact that he had to stop playing hockey because he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I went to his last home game as a Carolina hurricane and it was absolutely amazing to be a part of that.
yknow, i havent been apart of the hockey community for a few years now. but i used to love it. coming back and seeing all yhe players that i grew up watching, all retired. makes me really sad
After watching this, I didn't know more than half of these players retired, shocking but I always loved seeing them play
same
Watching all of these just make me so sad. Growing up watching these players play was real nice, sad to them gone
As a Wings fan my heart just hurts seeing Fedorov score his last in a Caps jersey 😢
Here as a sens fan and I feel your pain,
@@Frosty_47 honestly that’s a very fair point! It never felt right having both Alfredsson and Modano when they were such legends for other franchises
Shanahan’s hurt me 😢
That and alfredsson jersey was just Wierd
Kind of like me seeing Bure score his last in a Rangers jersey.
Gordie scoring his last goal with primary assist from his son is amazing
It’s kinda bumming me out that so many of the players I’ve watched since I discovered my love of hockey are retiring. I’ve been with them most if not all of their career.
Right!? And Ovechkin and Crosby are both a few seasons from retiring. Time flys
@@thezachster1234 can you believe its been almost 18 years since they were drafted?
Pretty cool to see Chara start the video, then see him on the ice for Wayne's last goal
Adored this video. So many guys I grew up watching have retired in the last 5-8 years.
I don't think any Canucks fan will ever forget Daniel Sedin's last goal.
how many people get a final goal like Daniel Sedin
I believe Mario's last goal was in the same game as Crosby's water bottle shot walkoff in the shootout. A true passing of the torch night.
I may be a Detroit fan watching this and shedding a tear over the goals of key contributors to the Red Wing empire, but I also miss the Sedin brothers. Two of the greatest-if not the best-to skate for the Nucks, and total class acts all around.
5 years from now ima cry watching these type of videos :/

Saw Spezza’s. Didn’t know it would be his last 😢
All the players I grew up with are all slowly hanging them up. Its honestly sad in a way
As a canucks fan the one of Daniel sedin hit hard 😢
Chara’s goal was fun. That entire season was one from hell, but to see Chara score that goal? Magical
Video suggestion: Goalies first and last saves also can you include pekka rinne
wait did he retire
@@King-pi8og yes did you not hear?
Getzlaf didn’t get a goal in his final game but his assist in the final minutes of his final game was special
Thanks for the Chris pronger goal as a flyers fan makes me happy 😃.
He took a massive hit in the eye from a hockey stick and his career took a fall cuz of that. Damn shame i loved that player
6:36 The last goal ever scored by an 80s NHL player.
Canucks fans beware
So glad we grew up watching some of these players in their prime and final years
Marty’s final goal was against Tampa 😢
So many NHL legends on the end of this video 😢🥺
Just like to say I was at Ryan getslav last goal it was also Tula task last career game
I saw Jarome Iginla's last goal live!
9:24 What's with the camera work on Eric Lindros's goal? That's pretty cool.
As a Bolts fan, I can’t say I disliked Chara’s goal. One of my favorite players. What a career.
Out of all the players who ever played in the NHL there are only 60 who was able to score their last goal of their career before they retired! Amazing!!!!
It’s so bitter sweet watching all these greats in not-their-jersey-number. #88 Iginla, #12 Gaborik, etc…
bruh jagr is not done yet he still plays pro in czechia i think and he might come back to the NHL again
Yoooooo he brought the intro back 🥹♥️ love you delta
Of course :)
Jagr skating like a beer leaguer fr😂
Lafleur scoring his last goal with the Nordiques against their biggest rival wow 🤩
His former team!
I was at the lightning islanders game cheering for the lightning but to see chara score was an incredible moment
For part 2 do: Heatley, kronwall, Steen, Afineganov, Satan, Vanek, Gilmour, Ryan smyth, Pominville, Eriksson
9:28 Damn, that camera angle was dope, wonder why they don't do that anymore.
instead we get digital boards and icing commercials
Hardest part of this video is seeing all of these stars in jerseys they aren't known for (IE Chara in islanders, Subban in a New Jersey, Spezza as a Leaf, Federov in caps)
I feel like you may be a little premature with Jagr's last career goal, I'm telling you the man can still play 🤣
You weren't wrong. lol
Fun fact about the Lemieux goal, on the original video, IIRC there's a comment saying it's one of the first videos ever published on youtube.
You should do goalies last save. it would be fun! 😆
Welp, this was depressing...weren't most of these guys in the league, like, 5 minutes ago?? 🤪
No Lanny MacDonald? smh... hope you put him in Part 2
Forgot about him sadly, would have been a good one
Indeed, that's a storybook ending that surpasses even Guy Lafleur's final goal.
Crazy that chara was on the ice for Gretzky’s last goal. The only guy to ever play against Gretzky, lemieux, jagr, Crosby, ovi, mcdavid and Makar.
Very good video but sad to se Lanny McDonald not in here , his was a classic last goal .
It was so stupid that Marty St. Louis scored his last goal against the Lightning for the Rangers. All because Yzerman left him off Team Canada in 2014 and he threw such a fit about it that he demanded a trade.
Mats Sundin, Canucks legend
Fedorov's goal from all of these was the most spectacular.
Ovechkins reaction to Federov is legendary
If I was ever in the league I just want one thing, the Stanley cup but if I could have another thing it would be first game first goal and last game last goal 🙏🙏
Delta with another banger upload! 🎉
Oh my god delta noticed me :0
I was at Chara's last game it was good to see him score but I was cheering for the Lightning
Perfect that Selanne got a assist from someone wearing his iconic #13
I remember spezza last goal I was at my grandparents my parents wanted to leave after the 3rd I had a feeling lesfs we’re gonna comeback and plus Mathews was one away from 60 but Spezza ended up Scoring and they won ina shoutout
Mikko Koivu. Jackets' legend.
4:17 great job Blue Jackets!
Zdeno chara was my favorite goal i was there live at UBS to see his last goal LGI!!
That’s a very bold choice, putting jaromir Jagr in one of these. ;)
The great part is I got to go to dustin browns last goal game🎉❤
Technically Howes last goal was against Detroit in 1980, based on scoring logs on HockeyReference
That’s his last regular season goal, look at the playoffs.
Great video. Very nicely done.
Didn’t even know Getzlaf retired 😂
Daily reminder that I am aging.
Just about all of the stars of my childhood are all gone
Nice
shea weber is not retired he is just injured
Man that video hits in some ways. Definitely the ending of an whole era
I don't know why but my earliest memory is getting a Ryan Getzlaf hockey card
Got to see Chara’s last in person💪🏽
It's a shame Pk's last goal came in one of the worst jerseys ever made
3:42 I’ll always pretend that Spezza’s last goal was in the series against Tampa Bay… that weird one that bounced over Vasilevskiy in game 3 4 or 5 maybe? I will forever forget that Eric Lindros played for the Stars
Crazy that Gretzky’s last goal broke the all time goal record
It didn’t. Not sure why that was the clip.
@@fr0styyproductionsmc It included WHA as well
So poetic that The sedin twins final points were both assisted by their other bro
I’d hate to be the goalie Datsyuk got his last goal on…hockey gods are merciful sometimes.
I was at the game when Chara scored his final goal
I miss big buff :(
Sometimes you never know when a guy has scored his last until he says goodbye to the game.
Fedeov’s was such a beauty
Should show Martin Brodeur's last goal.
Delta please respond. Question, how do you find these clips?
RUclips, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit, NHL.Com and Facebook are some great options. RUclips will most likely have the majority of clips you need though.
can you do a video where goalies of the winning game react to important goals?
I know it was in a shootout but where was Bryan Bickell's goal in his last game?
Wasn’t Shea Weber traded to VGK? I’m pretty sure he’s still playing
What happened with zetterbergs “goal” looked like an assist
I'm lost. Gretzky last goal put him in first ?
I wonder how much are the last goal pucks of wayne Gretzky and pavel bure are worth.
