    Forgot to take 5.0 F150 Coyote fans down a notch. Yes it also has more torque than the 5.0 😮 and at a MUCH lower Rpm. The 5.0 may be a hair quicker but not what i need a truck for. This is better suited for towing, although this 1/4 ton chassis isnt as capable as the 1/2 ton. But can be made even more so with a set of airbags, imo. See my other video on this channel with a Colorado air bag review! Tows like a tank when you add these with no squishy squishy or front end bouncing. I want to but my need for them has gone down the last few years. Its probably gonna happen when i put the 5160s in the rear.

      @BrianBourgeois- 9 месяцев назад +1

      Haha. Spoken like someone who has never towed heavy in their lives.

    • @thewireman134
      @thewireman134  9 месяцев назад +2

      @BrianBourgeois- look at the torque curves... they don't lie. Your not tickled because I signaled out the 5.0 for not pulling as well as a 4 cylinder. You will be alright. Ford has decent entries.

    • @BrianBourgeois-
      @BrianBourgeois- 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@thewireman134 it has nothing to with that. It’s the platform. As soon as you hook up a trailer that weighs more than 5k you’re going to feel the deficiencies, towing with a 1/4 ton platform.

    • @thewireman134
      @thewireman134  9 месяцев назад

      @@BrianBourgeois- I fully understand there is more stability on a 1/2 ton generally speaking. It's this trucks strength the easily accessible torque, which makes it a joy to tow under 7k pounds. I get it Ford has the powerboost and likely the 3.5 that can tug pretty hard at low rpms also. These smaller trucks weigh about the same as the larger 1/2 tons these days too. So really the larger footprint and suspension tuning and maybe larger brakes is the only thing that makes the 1/2 ton a better vehicle to tow heavier with. All stock suspension thats not specialty off road blows though imo

    • @thewireman134
      @thewireman134  9 месяцев назад +4

      @@BrianBourgeois- this engine was engineered very differently from any gas engine ever made. It was made by the GM diesel team and its roots show how awesomely different it is when driving at especially 10-20% throttle. It loses steam up high RPM but never guessed they can make a little gasser feel so much like a diesel. It has similar qualities in that respect, alot down low but leaves you wanting more when your wringing it out.

      @mr.bopington6065 bose in the denali.. instead of a legitimate sub they decided to make all speakers a half azz sub and put more bass in the front. Unfortunately this cost cutting causes the system to fall very short of expectations and the performance of older systems there Is no hard hitting anything. Even after equalizer adjustments GM trys to bring weak bass closer to the user instead of bringing real thump

    I had a 2023 and i loved the way it looked. But it was full of electrictal issues. The power windows, power mirrors and power door locks would randomly stop working when driving. Multiple time i got trapped inside the truck and couldn't even get the doors opens. You would have to shut the engine off so the system could reset just to open the doors. It was stressing me out and they didn't have a fix for it so i got rid of it.

    Hello Mike, I also own a canyon Denali mine is in deep bronze. I have never seen another canyon Denali on the street EVER! Don’t know why but the dealers are not really pushing the midsize trucks in my market. I did the sub and installed it under my back seat. Love it!

      Awesome, love the truck also, did the subwoofer help the audio? The bronze would be pretty slick for a Denali. I seen only 1 Denali in the last year and I travel through Chicago. Only 1 AT4 also. We will have a standout for a LONG time. Gonna be selling the Rangers like grapes at the grocery store. They are gonna be everywhere so even more glad to have the gmc. I did pay it off , now plan on doing what I want to it! I just want 2 more inch lift and some Colorado ZR2 wheels, I got the 430# torque calibration, red tow hooks, mines same color as your truck! Got every option you can get on one including power seat, tow package , damped tail gate with storage in TG, Sprayed in liner etc 41,100 I’m happy with what I got and didn’t want to spend over 50k for a ZR2

      Well. Not really something I want to re live! Lol.. I can tell you that you need only a ground, constant 12v source, and an ignition 12v source. There is a fuse box under the passenger dash that you can use mini fuse taps to tap into. There are detailed pics out there for the 23 Colorado on where to tap that helped me out. The headliner is VERY tight and hard to work with, although the added protection of the final product is worth it.

    I really *want* to like the 2024 GMC Canyon Denali, but as a 2012 Honda Ridgeline owner, it feels like I’d be taking a step backwards. My Ridgeline has features like a power sliding rear window, bed lights, and a solid V6 engine that gets the same fuel economy as this 4-cylinder. It’s hard to justify the switch when I’d be missing some essentials I already enjoy in my current truck. It’s a no-go for me.

      Comparatively speaking these twins are always directly after the full size so like 6 or 7 vehicles with the best resale... Denali is a pretty well known and sought after trim so I would imagine it's better resale than a base truck.. the days of trading a truck every three years for most is over though i think they have gotten so expensive..

    No, it’s not better than any of those other trucks, and certainly not better than the Nissan Frontier in terms of reliability. With the paint already flaking off that thing it will be a complete rust bucket in 5 or 6 years.

    • @thewireman134

      @Commentleaver-c6x nissan is the bottom feeder of mid size trucks, full size trucks, economy cars, and full size cars, plain and simple. That's one of the reasons why it's the cheapest. The other is they have to cater to a lower income group. They have to sell them for less otherwise no one would buy them. #truth Can't even compare the two. Enjoy rocking your Frontier though, someone has to buy that 1999 technology.
