Just bought my Zhiyun Weebill and after half a day of struggling, I discovered that the Image Transmission from Sony a7rii to iPhone (7s) works only if the camera is set to Airplane Mode ON!!! Otherwise, fail to connect the image tethering with the phone! Good to know ;)
I think they have nerfed this function since this video cam out. my best guess is that they want you to go out and buy their transmitter. Should have just gone with the DJI 🤬🤯

Thanks for checking them out. They have pushed out updates that increase the power of the motors. The updates are making everything work pretty darn well at this point. 🍻
When I got mine, the motors were set to "low", you should check your motor settings using the thumbwheel menu on the unitt, for a a7iii "medium" is more useful
It's looking like us android users are screwed, the zy play app for Android really doesn't like existing, it'll fail to load firmware and also seems like it can't do image transmission?
I've followed all of your steps for my Sony A73 and the Weebil S and while the camera is charging and the gimbal does say that it is connected, the camera doesn't seem to show that sync icon and the gimbal does not show the camera settings (like ISO). What am I doing wrong?
I have a Weebil with a Sony A6000 and a iPhone X. I have followed all your instructions and just can’t seem to get the video to the iPhone to match up. iPhone is updated, Weebil has is updated and all the Zhiyun updates are current. I see all the functions on the iPhone as well as the Weebil, I can control all functions from the iPhone but I just can’t see the camera images on the iPhone. I deleted the app and reinstalled but nothing has changed.

Hope both parties (Sony & ZY) keep pushing fixes to complete the circle, such as 1) Steady Shot turn off under PC control mode; 2)Custom assign the control wheel to lens zoom control or other function. ; 3) ZY play app cannot adjust camera's shutter speed/aperture setting. As point no.3, I notice your ZY app also show "Locked" at shutter speed/aperture setting. Have you heard any information about it?
Thanks for the kind words and for watcing the video. Yeah steady shot using PC remote is a big one. I hope they can fix that too. So I have found that being able to adjust shutter or aperture depends on the mode that I am in. For instance, If I have my camera in shutter priority, aperture gets locked as it is automatic in the camera. I have noticed occasions where some of the options were "locked" when they probably shouldn't have been. I'll send a message to the Zhiyun team and see what they have to say about it.
Infosmercial That’s right, I noticed the issue since I almost always shoot in manual video mode. It’s just seems like the mobile app it’s not ready for aperture and shutter speed change yet.

I have a connection on both Wifi and BluTooth, but I'm getting the error that says "The device is not working, please restart and connect again" Which I have done a bunch of times, but it doesn't work. I have full control of the camera and the gimbal from the app, but no transmission and when I try to update the firmware, it says I have no wifi connection, but I am looking at it! Can you help me?

trying to connect sony a7iii in this exact way and it connects, but only sort of... there's the little icon that shows it's connected on the little screen on the Weebill-S but none of the camera settings show up there and I can't change exposure settings from the gimbal. The only thing I'm able to do from the gimbal is start and stop the recording and if I press left and right on the scroll dial, it just zooms in the view on my camera screen. Any ideas what the problem is?

TOO MUCH LAG!! i was pumped about this feature and i bought the creator studio package to have the external phone mount. After connecting my phone there is such a strong lag in the image transmission that makes the phone as monitor almost unusable. There is a transmission delay of 1 or 2 seconds which is not suited for shooting. Is anyone else experiencing this??

Hello, I'm using the ZY Play app with the Crane 3 and my Sony A7R III. I don't get an image when my camera is in video mode but if I press the record button on my camera then I get an image on my cell phone (iPhone 11 Pro Max). Now, I also get an image when my camera is set to any of my photo modes but just not in video mode. Any ideas?

Yes for weebill s you would need to purchase the additional module. The reason is that you need your cameras video feed in conjunction with the on to select your object for tracking.
If anyone has issues connecting Z6/7, try getting a new USB-C to Micro USB cable. Apparently the one that was sent with the Weebill is not good. Go figure. My camera would not connect. This ended up being the reason.

Using an a7iii and weebil s. I don't get the camera functions displaying on my weebil for some reason? It's connected and I can record from the weebil and digizoom but that's about it. My phone connects with Bluetooth (no WiFi option) but no image transition. Suggestions?
Sorry for the delay. There are small bits of lag and occasionally dropped frames. This would be mostly used as a tool for framing adjustments and it does a pretty good job in that regard. It shouldn’t be relied on for focus critical work, but it does ok. The signal is 720p.
Don't let the ads fool you. YES there is a lag. YES it's very obvious. YES it's not just the occasional dropped frame. NO this can not be used as a replacement for a cable-connected HDMI monitor. It's a gimmick that's unfinished. The wifi signal is way too weak and the resulting video is choppy, laggy and NOT fluid. NOT usable for camera work when on the move (as one would be when using a gimbal).

Dude, please tell me how is the sony's 18-105 g working with webill lab? I am considering ti buy weebill lab, but i am worried that it might not work too well with 18-105. Many people are saying that heavy long lenses are not working.
I have been using the 18-105 lens with both my a6300 and a7iii. It has worked fantastic. So far the footage has been great and smooth. You really have to take your time and make sure everything is perfectly balanced. This is like the perfect combo for the weebill.

But keep in mind, that with the sony cams if you record in 4k it will turn off the back of camera screen, no matter what you do,

I wish they made a wired connection avalible for phone and not just wifi. Wireless connection if usntable, has huge latency and low quality.

How do I connect my XT3 to my Weebil S ? I don’t see Fujifilm in the menu.

My smart phone holder is coming in the mail, hopefully I can unlock the full potential of the app when I had the accessory in hand.
I have connected the smartphone to the weebil, but it is often laggy and jerky. Can transmission be improved? Or connect smartphone with the cable?

Clearly doesn't work with Sony A7iii with the latest updates to the gimbal and app. Returning it. Switching to the DJI RS3.
It's an excellent tutorial by the way but just non functioning for video transmission. I had a better experience with DJI software
But you can still use a monitor like feelworld? When you remove that?
