Merry Christmas to the Bentley house family from the Laird house family including Miss. Stormy. I hope you enjoy your holidays with your family, Ara. Enjoy your newest addition to your family, get in lots of cuddles. We have already purchased a laser but my husband has only used wood on it. In the new year he said he would make me some kits to cut out of card stock and mat board. I can’t wait. We are in search of a 3D printer too. Not sure what kind to get yet but we’re looking. I know that you have demonstrated one or two of these too. I will go back and rewatch them. I hope you find time to lay in bed, with your feet up. Just relax and watch your favourite movies and some new movies. Just relax and breathe for as long as you want. You deserve it Ara, you work hard. I absolutely LOVE that machine!!! The reason some papers worked better than others, is because some of them are solid core.. which means black all the way through, or green all the way through, and some were either white core, or kraft, which is why the inside was a different color. When buying paper from scrapbook websites, amazon, craft stores, etc. a lot of them will say on the packaging if they are white core or not.. If you want to know if something in your stash is white or solid, just rip a corner of it. You'll see what's inside.. hehe (Hope this was helpful)
The desk turned out so amazing. The engraving and the side carvings are just perfect. Also, I expect to see a Bentley House Minis mini book in your shop, because I want one, or maybe 5.. haha I enjoyed so much putting the desk together. It was super fast and easy.. It took me longer to cut it out on my cricut, than it did to put it together. now I'll have to think of some way to make it unique to me. Thanks for everything, Ara. You are the absolute best, and I'm looking forward to another year with you, and learning even more about making miniatures. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a Happy New Year!!! (p.s. Those are my two favorite quotes from the movie)

The "go insane and take you with me" quote is my favorite of the whole movie!!! I would just say it to my mom randomly and she would throw a shoe at me or whatever was near ... I'm gonna call her today and say this for old times sake lol

The scene you referenced with Delia telling Charles she will go insane and take him with her is one of my favorite scenes in Beetle Juice (which I love).

The desk came out amazing, I can just imagine Delia going around the desk with a pen knife cutting all the words into the wood because Charles didn't let her customise his office. Can you imagine what his office would have looked like if she had been allowed to re do it, I can imagine more cow print in there

This is my first visit to your channel. Nice job! I think those scrolls and outline presets that you used on the books would look great on the outer edges of a desk front. You could also do a fancy real or fake leather desk mat in the same manner! Really enjoyed your delivery. I'll be back!

I love this desk you designed. I've got the the exact same desk in my home office. It's an antique English desk that I inherited from my grandparents and the only difference that I can see is that the top of my desk is inlaid with brown leather that has gold engraved on it. The leather's getting a bit shabby now but I still love it. I'm definitely going to try making this desk, so I can put it in my Book Nook and keep it in my office with the full size one! ❤ Thank you Ara for another great video. @BentleyHouseMinis I want to get another kit, right now I need to make a bookcase to hold all of them. I'm thinking I might use the leftover matboard to make the front of the bookcase. It's already perfect for where the shelves would go. 😊

WOW! That little thing can do a lot! I'm impressed. This is the only kind of cutter I'd have room for (entire house: 990sqft) and it seems this laser cutter would be a great use of the little space it would take up. I'm having to plan my future projects in smaller and smaller scales unless I win the lottery and can build on another room for the dollhouses! Ha! TY so much for the desk pattern.

Go for it!! There are so many great ways to get started. You can grab a kit that has a lot of stuff already planned out or you can just start cutting up some cardboard and see what creatively flows! If you go that route I highly suggest my Cardboard house series! Thanks Stephanie!

If you want gold stripes on the bottom and top of book spines use self stick nail art tape.

I love your books and desk too! I recently bought some alcohol markers so I could make your dragon scale book. But I'll have to watch the video again because I don't know if I can use a regular hole punch, which is all I have right now. Anyway, thanks for the printable desk!

Ara what a great desk, I’m already thinking of an idea for it. I love the book engravings. I really like all 3 color versions you made, they each would work depending on the scene they were displayed in. I love the small size of that laser, my laser is so big.

I really think the desk turned out great. I love the color stained wood and my dad has a wooden desk like that in his room. Have you seen the minibrands mini books? They have a lot of classic books in them or books you could repaint for miniatures. These would be a cool addition to charles bookcase like the Captain's quarters books.
