I took it different, and maybe I misunderstood, but I thought he said slavery is a choice not was. I could be mistaken but I took it as he was referring to the labels and the negative hip hop we glorify, like we are slaves to this fake culture. I agree with Trevor 1000%
My mom suffered from mental illness as well and was Unmedicated throughout our childhood and most of my adult years. I didn’t truly meet my mother until 2 years before she transitioned and was religiously on her medication.
Even suffering dementia and Parkinson’s, she was the mother that I wished I had grown up with but, my grandchildren were blessed to meet a great-grandmother that they could love and who showed a beautiful live for them.
It was then, and only then, that I could forgive my mom for my damaged upbringing.
But as for Kanye West, it’s shameful that everyone around him, the media and also his fans, are taking advantage of him and using him as entertainment and a media circus event.
This poor man has admitted on several occasions in the past, that he suffers from mental illness, genuine mental illness, and no one cares?
Hee hee haa haa, Kanye West just said something else insane on the news!
Since when is mental illness a joke?
    People disgust me.
When he’s dead from spiraling as far down as he can go, the media and fans will be sooo sad, sooo shocked. Ugh! Disgusting!!

I don't know if you are a real person or just another arm of the apparatchik that is whipping the slave boy in front of the world, but either way, you're dead wrong with your claim of mental illness directed at Ye.
      HIS NAME IS YE NOW!
I know you are probably the type that makes sure to call everyone by their pronouns, but you disrespect a man who made it VERY CLEAR that he has changed his name.
I do think you should have your head examined though. Your refusal to see reality and your double standards and your hypocrisy are all forms of legitimate mental illness.

No, not all. That's a major problem believing all blk people think the same and if a black person thinks differently, we call them sellouts. We won't reach anywhere with group thinking, every other race can have difference of opinion without being called sellouts. We the only ones who think we she have a hive mind. Democrats did create the kkk and the biggest lie is believing they switched sides. People actually believe that the leaders of confederates/democrats who wanted to keep us enslaved switched sides. The leaders of religion and politics never switch sides, only their followers may switch but the leaders never have in history. If you don't believe it, they still use the same strategy of using race to divide us.
They only switched on convincing whites to hate blacks, to blacks to hate whites. They tell us they switched sides so we can hate those that helped us beat them in the civil war.

I recognize when someone is in the middle of a manic episode. That, however, doesn’t excuse nor justifies his crappy behavior. Someone can suffer from mental illness & be super kind, and altruistic. Conversely, someone can suffer from mental illness & be a raging narcissistic jerk. The latter describes your hero, Ye. BTW…never had any desire to know the guy & never will. There are plenty of black folks who are great & do great things. Scholars & educators with amazing minds & experiences, but do it out of the limelight. Ye is constantly seeking the media & cannot get out of his own way.

If he is really interested in peace, love & unity, as you are lulled into believing because he’s saying those words, than riddle me this Batman: why has he secured Milo Yiannopoulos as his campaign manager? Why is he choosing to align himself with Nick Fuentes? His actions betray his words. But you go head on & hang on to your hero. You want to get real here? Let's get real, the dude is an opiate addict. He's addicted to pharmaceutical opiates and has been ever since his mom died. That shit fucked him up, and I totally get why it fucked him up. She goes in for some plastic surgery and then is dead. Like what the fuck? So he's had some trauma, and he's an addict.
