I'm a black father making less than $40k a year, I rent my house, pay a car note to Ford. My daughter looks up to me not because I'm the bread winner, she looks up to me because I know how to LISTEN to her, and figured out the best way to guide her is presenting the available options she has,the pros n cons of all of them and let her make her own decisions . She is starting college at MSU this fall to become a Dr, graduating from HS on the honor roll, and a musician. Speak on it VAN🙌🏾👊🏽

Makes me think about Brian McKnight. The first thing he said in his defense was "I never missed a day of child support." Look how successful he is, but it seems like he didn't develop relationships with the kids in his first family in the best way. But he's so successful -- they should be good right? No, it takes a lot more than money and being an example of success or fame, to prepare kids for life. Salute to you sir

7:30 is when you see a grown ass man completely shut his brain off. 🤦🏿‍♂️ Math Hoffa could not handle the intellectual debate that his guest van was having. Not being able to keep up intellectually with van made hoffa frustrated, angry and embarrassed. His reaction to this embarrassment is to wait for any opportunity to cut van off during his logical statements by making a stupid joke at the expense of his guest van. Even tho math knew his post office joke was corny, he was committed to continuing the joke regardless. Math would do anything to get the attention off of van and place it upon himself!

It's a way to avoid responsibility of one's daily duties (work, husband and father) which is the ONLY THING that WILL lift the black community. Nothing else.
But many can't do it, coz they refuse to tolerate short periods of boredom (which is life...everyone feels it)...but that's where the meaning of life and the stability is built. Instead, they are endlessly excitement seeking (pussy) and avoiding what it means to become a real man. Just loads of grown boys out here waiting for someone to "say suttin'!" so they can throw their weight around. I grew up all around it and those who maintained that childish attitude only suffered more. Those who chose responsibility and advanced towards the challenges and suffering of life grew and became men that are now respected.
Want respect? Stop fighting and fucking at every chance.
What a sad state of affairs.

There’s enough money to go around where a cashier can make enough money to cover all their bills and all their basic needs and have some left to finance her hobbies, travel, buy gifts for their children… all we have to do is redistribute the money better(the redistribution is already happening. Just that it’s not a fair one) But people like Math don’t want that and think people should be allowed to hoard as much money as they want they want while people who live not too far as struggling., amazing that some people can look at that and think this is the best system we can have. What’s even more amazing to me is most people who think like this in the US call themselves followers of Jesus when the Jesus described in the Bible couldn’t have been more explicit about his opposition to accumulation of material wealth.

Not everyone can be the top rapper that marries a superstar and becomes a billionaire, but you can be a great real estate investor or attorney that makes a great living.

Me and my other Nigerian friends that moved here 25 years ago are now peaking career and wealth wise in our 40s . I have friends now owning law firms , clinics , private practice , own commercial real estate , even made purchases back home in Nigeria etc. one of my boys runs 10 pharmacies in Dallas with his wife. Also imagine crowd funding wit other high net worth families who have climbed up the corporate ladder ? I see this all the time . Quick example I worked with a guy who was an engineer with Disney and last I talked to him he and a bunch of other European investors pool their money and just buy a bunch of properties for vacation rental here in Florida !

Doctors, lawyers, business owners are provided the same opportunities. We don’t have to idolize rappers and ball players. We can idolize the police officer or the school teacher.
