Thank you for that video! When it comes to drone firmware or controller app updates it is always good to have these two ways of doing so (online Over-The-Air (OTA) or offline via mini-SD-card and USB stick). Also good to learn about the update sequence, power on/off and restart requirements here. Keep the good work going!
For 2 days now I have been trying to update the software on my Enterprise EVOV2 and cannot get anywhere. I have watched this video 3x tried OTA and manual and each is not working. Not sure what i am not doing correctly. I tried calling Autel --- and of course that led nowhere. Please if anyone can give me some guidance I would appreciate it.
Man, I been trying to update firmware on my evo 2 pro for two damn years. It WON'T DO IT. EXACTLY as you described. Downloaded zip files from mac and turned on controller then drone and simply nothing happens. I bought a smart controller and it has been sitting on my table for two years because I cannot update my firmware so I can pair with the controller. This is beyond words...
Great video Jon When will there be an update for EVO II V2 Jon make them RID compliant? I just purchased my EVO II V2 Dual Enterprise and found out that it is not RID compliant.
Just received my replacement enterprise drone (6K pro V3) from Autel Care and I am going through the process of updating everything. I like to know do I need to do this with each of my aircraft batteries? i have six in total.
I purchased the EVO 2 dual 640R (US FLIR BOSON) vERSION 1 for $3200. Little did I know the difference about the sensor and the 640T chinese sensor. I have seen the comparison video of each sensor and seems the FLIR is somewhat better for roofing and solar inspections but you have to pay for the software. the Evo 2 640T v2 you can use the free IRPC tool for reports. What in your opinion would be the better? Just need some personal advice Thank you Ed Ghosn UDS, LLC
Pro tip. Please clarify that the SD card you're using for the transfer must be EMPTY. Meaning you can't just yank the existing card out of the aircraft and use that without first removing all the contents. That was not very clear. Also please clarify if the ZIP file should be unzipped first before the transfer? My Phantom 3 Pro can take a zip file on a card that already has content on it. This was also not very clear.
I know this is unrelated to the content in this video but you may still be able to answer my question. Speaking of the new Autel EVO 2 battery charging hub, I understand it can either charge up to 4 batteries in parallel mode or simultaneously. Let's say I have 4 batteries that I wish to charge simultaneously, each of which has a 20% charge, how long should it take to bring those 4 batteries from a 20% charge to fully charged?
I HAVE A ENTERPRISE EVO V2 AND I USE THE MICRO SD PROGRADE AND HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MISSIONS , WATH IS THE BEST MICRO SD FOR THIS DRONE AND MAKE THE MISSIONS IN MAPPING
Thanks! which of the Autel drones do have a CE label so we can fly after January 1st, 2023 in the right category? what about the Autel mini less then 250gr?
This weekend I flew the Evo 2 Pro Ent V3 in some stronger winds, with longer arms and larger motors you would hope it would perform better then an Evo 2 Pro V1. It did not, it would slow down and drop altitude and even gave me tilt warnings instead of wind warnings. They have not even programmed the FC good for the wind, this is terrible. They need to do a serious update for the FC. I've flown my Evo 2 Pro V1s in powerful winds that wanna knock you over, nothing can take that thing out of the sky, the winds yesterday were not even close to that strong and the Evo 2 Pro Ent V3 sucked badly. It took them till June 6th 2022 before they had the final FW update that gave us dual stability on the Evo 2 Pro V1 also, thats 2 years after the drone was released. So thats how long we might be waiting before they fix things with this one. I'm starting a drone company and I can't even do serious filming with this drone because the dual stability is what got the Evo 2 Pro V1 real close to the Mavic, as far as smooth flying for filming goes. So at this time if I was doing serious filming, I would still actually be using my Evo 2 Pro V1 drone. Autel is focused on making money pushing the Evo Max 4T now and other products and is taking their time with this drone poeple spent 5K of their hard earned money on. And lastly, can we please stop beating around the bush with these useless accessories and make a drop arm like we know that that's what everyone wants. Can someone who knows electronics please rewire one of those useless accessories they give us and make a drop arm. I would be willing to pay handsomly for one.
really frustrated as i cant see any info on my app about my evo2 pro only the evo1 also says my s/n isnt activated?? dont understand that as it all works. i cant find anywhere to update my 2nd controller as it doesnt do alll fuctions since i updated my drone with original controller and couldnt see a way to just do the 2nd controller..
i have a 6k autel evo2 v1 i have 2 controllers .i updated the firmware and works perfectly but issue is the 2nd controller doesnt do anything apart from see threw the camera so connects. what i need is either to update the firmware on the 2nd controller or to roll back the firmware on the main controller and drone so both work as it did can you do this how to do either of this ?
I have always preferred Autel drones because they make the most advanced drones. But Autel has also been putting out incomplete drones, where features are not working as advertised. I have recently bought an Evo 2 Pro Enterprise V3. I have a few hundred flights and understand a little about frequencies and antennas and I will explain here to dissolve any confusion about those things. I have lots of experience with the Evo 2 Pro V1 as I have 2 of them and have done lots of comparing and troubleshooting over the last couple of years with them. The Evo 2 Pro E V3 which should have a 15km transmission I just got barely transmits as good as my Evo 2 Pro V1's, which have a 9km transmission. When you go to the transmission screen on the new Evo 2 Pro E V3, there are no options, the screen is empty, Autel has explained to me this will be done at some update, it has now been 5 months since the drone's been released. The drone is very obviously working on a 2.4Gz signal, that is a short wavelength and should have a 2 inch antenna, just like most all drones up till now. The reason the transmission is barely keeping up with my Evo 2 Pro V1s, is because they put a 4 inch antenna, which is optimal for 900Mhz frequency. 900Mhz Is a longer wave that goes better through walls, when they do the update this will be an amazing drone yes, for now, if you've had an Evo 2 Pro V1 in the past, you will feel quite dissapointed. I do get real flight times of a little over a half an hour compared to 25 minutes which everyone always exagerrates, so Autel did real good there yes. So Autel put out a new drone with supposed frequency switching, but it's not doing any of that yet and the antennas are optimized for 900Mhz, which the drone is not working on, because if it was working 15km with 900Mhz would be amazing in the city yes. Of course at 900Mhz you then get a slower waves, hence slower data transfer, so I'm not even sure if they can transmit data at 1080 at that frequency, I would be fine with 720 resolution at 900Mhz, I still see power lines good on the bright screen, right now it is 720, I can easily tell, they havent updated that either. Respectively, a 4.8Gz transmission or 5.8, would be optimas with about an even shorter antenna probably closer to 1 inch, with makes it easier to fit inside your cellphone as you go up with Ghz :-). This is a very disappointing thing that Autel is doing and I hope they do the update for the transmission soon. I paid 5k for this thing and that was one of the main reasons I bought it for. Autel has also released a new drone with something very important not working as advertised. They kept my drone in repair for weeks so I got my money back from Blue Skies, who I bought it through. I then got the same drone through Amazon and found that the feature is not working on that one as advertised either. I have considered sueing Autel but I have always liked and supported Autel, and would prefer not to do this. If Blue Skies does not end the bank case against me I will tell everyone here what this feature is a lot of people would be upset, and I would hurt Autel, I would prefer not to do this. I hope they do an update to fix this soon.
My evo 2 remote controller has a firmware issue when connecting to my Samsung S23. It does not connect to the controller but works fine with my wife Iphone!!
In autel evo 2 pro I can never import a .kml file using the IOS system. For that I'm still a slave to android. The company could fix or make a video explaining how to get around this problem. unfortunately you guys are horrible to answer something that doesn't speak well of your product.
this method NEVER works with my autel products. All it does is botch the connection from the RC and you have to manually update via the SD card. I wish people would stop putting these videos out as they are likely never going to work with most of their equipment
Did you expect anything different? I knew we were screwed when they attempted to sell not one but 2 consumer drone series, they were stretched thin supporting ONLY Evo 2 Series with Enterprise Versions. I've had exactly ONE update to V2 and Smart Controller, and that was before they stretched themselves so thin. Did they beef up support and bring on staff ahead of these releases? I am fairly certain they they didn't. These smaller companies all want to sell product first, then invest in support and infrastructure. The risk all falls on the customer that way.
So…. Being in this industry as long as I have, initial FW updates are usually fixing bugs and adding new features once a product is initially released. Some companies continue to do updates to work with third-party applications or third party payloads. Since there hasn’t been very many major changes in the hardware on the Evo 2 in the last 6 months, I would dare say that the performance of it is at its best. Now, since new lines of products have come on board (Nano and Lite, Enterprise) You may see features that are not available on older hardware. “Older” is difficult in this Continually evolving technology, But continued support with a product is important to Autel.
THE TOP SENSORS ON ALL V3 ENTERPRISE MODELS ARE NOT WORKING AT ALL IT IS BLIND upwards. I wanted to be nice and not tell people but Autel just did an update and did not fix this. This is irresponsible and false advertising. THE SENSORS ON THIS DRONE DO NOT WORK IN ALL 6 DIRECTIONS.
Thank you for that video! have you a link to the update firmware please ?because as soon as i go to autel im getting an error page
You can download from our website (www.autelrobotics.com/download/118.html) or do you have link error to this web page?

Has anyone experience their autel evo 2 pro version 1 app crashing after the new update? Meaning it doesn't work anymore.
No amount of updates will correct the DISASTER that is the Nano/Nano+ . I feel sorry for those now stuck with that over priced & bug ridden disaster.

Do you have to update each battery
In some FW Aircraft updates you do. App updates usually don’t, but it’s good to check all batts that you are not prompted to do so
Does Autel plan to update Android version in Smart Controller?
It’s more of a hardware issue than it is to just update to the newest android software on the SC.
@@jonmcbridear4710 can you please explain a bit more? Why could the Smart Controller not take an update?
@@ghost101049 Again, for earlier versions of the SC, its a hardware compatibility issue to use the "latest" android version.

2. what next steps?? how it will be updated ??? there is any msg came up after that
