@@randymcneely4983 I love my Autel Evo 2 Pro. I just don't get a lot of time to fly it and finish dialing in the camera settings because I usually rotate all my quads. I dialed in the quad, it flies great. I have a version 1 so the chance of getting a smart controller is nil. Last week I bought a Sky Fire Aerial controller enhancement kit, took about 6 days from ordering till it arrived. It solved the most of my controller issues, the poor balance, hitting the programable buttons by accident and weak cell phone clamp are things of the past. Now that Autel updated both the explorer app and firmware I programmed one of the buttons on the back to switch between Standard and Ludacris mode, no more setting screen to change modes.
Well done. I used iMovie in the past with my Spark and Mavic Air 2 which was adequate for my purposes. Since I upgraded to the Air 2s 3 months ago, I started practicing with Davinci Resolve. The learning curve is extremely high but I am getting great results as I gain experience with the software. This tutorial is great and confirms that I am on the right track. Let's see some more tutorials like this.
Just in case you didn’t know. Autel provides a LUT file for the Evo 2 Pro. This lets you apply the LUT to the Log footage and it brings the image to a normal looking color, you then can tweek the colors to your own liking.
I do have the autel lut and I tried it but it's not my cup of tea, just too many alterations to get it to my taste so I rather start from scratch. Thanks for sharing Michael
There are some decent Fujifilm LUT's that work well too. Specifically the XT2 Eterna 709 rec LUT's. Free from Fujifilm. You might give them a try. I learned of them from one of Ken Dono's vids.
@@xavier_arthur : I just experiment until I find a handful of LUT's I like then use one of them depending on footage. It's just a starting point that gives it a jump start. Lut's are definitely not for everyone. I even use a GH5 mirrorless cam LUT sometimes.

When using Davinci Resolve's "color space transform" in the Open Fx tab of the color page , which sort of log footage to input color space do I choose? Would "use timeline" be appropriate (maybe it's in the EXIF data?)? I don't see "A-Log" as an option. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Let me know what you find. I'm also looking for the color space transform settings for Autel EVI II Pro log footage. I haven't found it yet. Probably some trial with the available settings.
Sick end result i use premier pro my mentors all ways trying to convince me the pros use DaVinci you got me with free and it looks pretty easy to use and similar to what i know already is it best for the evo 2 pro A log footage ?
Great video! I'm thinking about upgrading my Mavic Pro to the Evo Pro II 6K. I have the 5.5" Crystal Sky monitor. I'm kind of blown away to see you using it with the Evo Pro II?!? Do you have to do anything to get that to work software/firmware wise? I was really bummed that I wouldn't be able to use the Crystal Sky moving forward but you seem to be making it work with the Autel?? Great info, thanks for sharing! Autel doesn't make it especially easy to figure out the compatible 10-bit color modes. I really wish we could use 6k and still get 10-bit!
I have the Skyriot filters haven't tried them on my EVO 2 PRO yet, I think I'll start using them to get better video result. Though it isn't really that bad without filters. But I can see the difference without it, I read where filter are good in certain situation but not always needed.

Xavier, when did you start using DR? You have usually promoted Filmora. Anyway, something I started using recently is the Auto Balance as my first node. Then, six other nodes to tweak other parameters. Give it a go. It's the A with the circle around it next to the eye dropper on the far left. Good video, beginning to end once again. I miss my Evo 2, but I had to send it back. My horizon was always tilted worse than all the Fimi drones. Ready to sell my Fimi X8SE 2020. I am tired of the automatic vignette affect.

While shooting in log dji has this pre-LUT box you can tick, so that you can have a better visual on the otherwise flat dlog picture. Does EVO have something likewise?
I just shot some test footage on my EVO II 6K, using the Autel settings exactly as you mentioned. I tried importing my clips with the H265 format, and it is not recognized by the Free version DaVinci Resolve (17.2.2). It gives a red exclamation arrow that says "Media offline" Looking online, its says that H265 is not supported in the free version of DaVinci Resolve... How did you get it to work?
If you do not use ND filters to darken the image while shooting video, then you're only other main alternative would be to speed up the shutter. Speeding up the shutter can cause the video to look very unrealistic. So if you want the most realistic Hollywood look in your video, you would need ND filters. I have a ton of videos on filters, you should browse through and check it out, might not be for Evo drone but the same concept applies. What about filming at night in the city? I've heard LOG at night is not as good in cameras at night in low light but haven't graded the log from the pro2 I'm checking out different settings. I used 4k 10bit 400 iso for the 2 vids we just put up. We r just starting so i'll see which video looks best on yt coz their compression codec just murders good quality video

At night in the city is what i luv 2 c but u gotta haz big nutz coz it can get scary af at night in the city when ur drone signal just cuts off

In Davinci use the waveform and keep the highlights just below 1k and shadows above zero.

how necessary are the ND filters and why , bc in manual don't you have a lot of control & this is getting sooo.. expensive lol
