The 2008 Michigan team was 90% incompetence, 10% flashes of brilliance. The second half of this game, the second half of the Utah game, the first half of the Illinois game, the first quarter of the Penn State game, the Minnesota game, and the first three quarters of the Michigan State game. Unfortunately for Michigan, the rest of the year was a comedy of errors.
i remember i was at my sophmore year homecoming when this game happened listening to it on the radio after our dinner haha terrible times for a Michigan fan back then but this was a great moment.
I think through the rest of the Rich Rod years and Hoke years this was still the worst half of football I've ever seen Michigan play. Just glad some weird shit happened in the second half.

And when threet made that 50-yard run, I just thought, next year, when either Forcier or Beaver is runnin that ball, that'll be a touchdown! Oh I can feel it now. Nice job by threet though to keep it, it's hard to make those reads in a split second like that though. And he made sure to hang onto the ball, I was nervous he was goin to fumble it at the end there. Go Blue!

I don't think people realize how much better we are goin to be. We now have an ACTUAL d-coordinator in Greg Robinson, we are getting faster, and we have an ACTUAL quarterback in Tate Forcier, who has scared off Beaver, Newsome, and now threet, who wouldn't have played again anyways. If Minor, Brown, and Hemingway who all were hurt at first, stay healthy all year, i beleive we can do what the Michigan basketball team is doing right now, and RR's history proves we can! Go Blue!
That 50-yard run by threet will be a touchdown next season cause that'll all in all most likely be Tate Forcier runnin that ball! And the kid is completing 77% of his passes!!! He runs a 4.5 40 and is enrolling early to practice with us in the spring, I can't wait to see him run our offense! Go Blue!

McGuffie just transfered to Texas. He criticized Rich Rodriguez, the players, the spread offense and Rodriguez' staff. Minor is very good. He said he'll be back. Minor is a guy Michigan needs. I see them being better next year.
I was lucky. I just happened to be channel surfing and I saw the game listed on the Big Ten network so I taped it. After pigging out on Thanksgiving dinner, I made sure to upload it.
I might get hated on for this, but I'm a little sad that Sam McGuffie suffered from unfortunate injuries and transferred. I think people underrated him and his ceiling as a running back was nearly limitless. That being said, I sympathize with the guy for being homesick and having to take care of a younger sibling.
What about that 29-6 upset blowout of Minnesota? Even though Michigan had nothing to play for but pride at that point, they did manage to hold on to the Little Brown Jug and contribute to Minnesota's late season slide.
looking back on this year i wish most of the games (besides this one) would have ended at halftime would've added like 4 more wins. Oh well I love our chances this year!! Go BLUE
Ok, explain Chris Rainey, Noel Devine, Jeff Demps, Brandon James, Trindon Holiday, Jacquizz Roger, and Noel Devine, they all seem to be doin pretty damn good! They're all under 6 feet, and are fast and athletic, dude, not every good football player has height. Mike Hart was under 6 feet, I think he did pretty good. DeSean Jackson was pretty damn good too, he was 5'9. I'm not goin to waste my time responding to you, especially to your predictions, I listened before, none were right. Go blue!

Ya I read an article that he compared himself to Colt McCoy. If I were Forcier, I wouldn't compare yourself to McCoy yet. McCoy leads his team in rushing, completing 77% of his passes. Forcier is doin pretty much that, but in high school, and I hope he lives up to the hype too, but comparing yourself to McCoy right now, is part of the reason why we are losing to these shitty teams, cockiness like you said, we don't take teams like App State and Toledo seriously, and we lose. I'm a WVU alum and Rich Rod was treated like crap here and Michigan didn't treat him much better. Difference being, our administration treated him like garbage. Lloyd Carr asked to hire him and then turned his back on him before the start of the 2008 season. Also gave him no money to hire even a remotely decent defensive coordinator. Should have worked out.
You have to install your offense as a coach. He specifically told Michigan it would be a slow transition and they were okay with it. You want Threet to be MORE of a pocket passer? He was a terribly inaccurate passer. Sheridan was a walk-on! The defense got bad when they gave Rich Rod no money to hire a good coordinator and ended up with shitty Greg Robinson. Again, a lot less blame should be going on Rich Rod's shoulders, he was playing against a stacked deck.

I don’t think he would have beat osucks. Tressel knew what it took to motivate them to play Michigan. Rich rod didn’t have that in his tool bag.

He went 43-35 at Arizona. He was not that good.
