  • How to make an outdoor pool lounge chair out of PVC pipe and plywood painted with Krylon Fusion All-In-One Spray Paint. No CNC needed for this design just a 1-3/4" diameter drill bit, jigsaw, and flush trim router.

    I used a 1-3/4" diameter drill bit to drill the holes for the 1-1/4" PVC pipe. Here is the best deal I have found on these large drill bits (amazon affiliate link)

    Something that came to my mind as a variation is that you could make holes in the plywood and insert the pipes instead, but use fewer pipes and space them out more so that you can cover each pipe with a pool noodle (if it's not possible to insert the pipe in the noodle, the noodle could be cut down its length and just pushed over the pipe). This would make this lounge chair so much more comfy. 😊

      good idea! I used pool noodles for a sofa project before and they are cost effective and hold shape well when placed around a pipe

      I kept thinking the same thing bc the PVC seems like it would be hard on the back. But I LOVE the finished product!!!

    Maybe you could employ a few connectors on the pvc pipes so several chairs can snap together and become big couch. Also maybe there's a design idea where you have larger diameter pvc pipes in the base with sealed end caps so the whole chair floats in the pool

    I love to free-hand draw too. I use my remarkable tablet but that in my hand, drawing is really fun. I love the contrast of colours as well. I like to do that with stuff. Just brings more happiness. I never thought about pipes before. Very, very much like this video and this idea. Cheers!

    Great project, and I love the shape! I was wondering if you could use cheap pool noodles, over or attached on top somehow, to the PVC as a cushion? Maybe cut in half and attached with a strong glue? And they'd be water proof! Anyhow, thanks for another great project idea!

  • @lesusan3338
    @lesusan3338 2 года назад +3

    Beautiful job but all I can think of is how many bugs would use the pipes for a place to nest. This would definitely be a problem in the southern states.

I literally burst out laughing remembering your comment 🤣 God bless you! Enjoy your upcoming weekend.

    Not longstanding... No middle support, and the builder seems to not understand his materials. Especially how low of a tolerance PVC has to stress.

    • @eastcoastflooring4624
      @eastcoastflooring4624 2 года назад +2

      How low tolerance PVC has to stress i’ve been building air cannons that lunch golf balls tennis balls whatever you want to put in them the canister that holds the air pressure is PVC I’ve been doing this for 10 years now out of the thousands that I’ve made Ive not had one person contact me back saying that the tank exploded or anything broke for that matter and it’s all out of PVC. holding pressures up to 250 psi I’ve had one holding pressure four weeks before I finally let it go and if that kind of pressure it will put a golf ball completely through a car launching a golf ball close to 1000 yards where have you got your experience on PVC from because DWV can handle way more than the rated 40 psi at least quadruple. Unless you’re 4-600 pound individual it will last a normal person their lifetime💪🏼

      its actually quite strong at short lengths like this but lets make a bet! $100 to a good cause that it can hold 400lbs center loaded! I can do an live broadcast of testing it
