Hey idk if anyone mentioned this in the stream, but there’s a setting for faster animations It doesn’t take away anything it’s literally just making it so you don’t have to wait several seconds for the enemy to attack or screen to transition Halves the time for runs
would love to see you keep going with sts, hope the backseating people seem compelled to do doesn't turn you off from it, it's very interesting seeing your thought process for deckbuilding across a run
Some theory regarding the mummy hand: You draw more cards thanks to snecko some powers can cost 3 and get cheaper and then you save energy. with the codex you can easy pick all powers whe you have the mummy hand since oyu have more draw you have enough recourse in terms of number of cards you just wanna increase your energy efficency
2:48:57 Rarran: skips chest me: slams hand on desk in absolute frustration Raran seconds later: [confused face] "did i not get my relic"? me: tries not to scream at the screen like an idiot edit: watched the whole thing. he did pretty good for someone who's only played for 10 hours and last played months ago. he'll have fun unlocking stuff and truly beating the spire. And if he ever goes down the rabbithole of mods... oh boy it'll be fire. some mods i recommend: generally good additions: - Corrupt the Spire - The Packmaster - Bundle of Food - Spikes Relics - Hilight Paths - Shop Mod - Downfall Expansion Mod New areas: - The Menagerie - The Jungle - The Abyss
Evaluation of cards shouldn’t be based of snecko smh… yes it made a lot of cards strong, but a card is not strong because of something you might get for a specific deck that is built around rng. Yes he is dumb but you are not supposed to be the same.
@@cliffyang7687 you're looking at it the wrong way around, you should evaluate sneko based on what cards it can work with and if you have/want those cards in your deck. You can also evaluate cards based on how many different things work with it including relics.
This was SO much fun! I would love to see you play more StS 🙏 fuck the haters talking about misplays, you seemed to be having so much fun and I love watching that
that was pretty funny, 2 strike upgrades of whetstone "could be worse", no rarran... it literally could not be worse haha (tbf it was fine anyways but still) edit: LOL at the missed feed on the gang leader, F bro, but if you are new or rusty ez mistake to make no cope
That Champ fight probably would've been WAY easier if he'd bought Orrery at that Merchant and picked out some good scaling cards. Of all the mistakes he made, I'd say that one was by far the closest one to ending the Ironclad run. That and not taking Fame Barrier right before Guardian.
It's ggonna be a wild ride when Rarran sees the TRUE Slay the Spire experience because right now? He's in baby shit mode. This is all baby shit. Once he actually sees what this game is REALLY like he'll get his ass kicked xD
I mean I get what you're saying, but also he's just beginning with the game bro 😂 I'm sure you've been making OP builds since your first run, but we can't all be like you 🤷

You need some aoe early on? Like yeah of those 3 it is generally the worst but I'd rather have Cleave than Shrug early act 1, it gives you play against triple/double louses, sentries, slime boss, 5 gremilns, 6 slimes fight... doesn't give Gremlin Nob strength... there's lots of reasons to pick cleave early Like sure Reaper and Whirlwind are better aoe but you have no guarantee you're going to get them at all, much less before your sentries fight or before a gremiln horde I'm not the worlds best StS player or anything but I do play at a20 so I would not consider myself a noob, i would not say Cleave is a bad card, it's only bad later in the run but so are 60% of the rest of the cards. It is legitimately useful in act 1 which is the only time you'd pick it up. The only reason its a noob trap is because card game players see "deal damage to everything" and equate it to a board wipe when that equation doesn't really work out. If you know what it does and why you would pick it its not absurdly bad.

Rarran:*plays 7+ energy worth of cards in a turn thanks to sneko eye*

Wasn't it just 6?

I recently started playing too, just beat the heart on Ascension 2
Not sure who liked this but as of today (3 weeks later) I'm hitting a wall at Ascension 15 (was 15 boss HP away one run though)
16, wall broken
The total time of the 2 runs are 7 seconds appart
Rarran Being forced to Roleplay is one of the best thing that have come to this channel x')
