Having owned a 2019 CX-5 with a touchscreen display and a 2023 without one (they dropped the touchscreen somewhere between those model years) I can say that there's no need for the touchscreen. I never used it when I had it. Using the control knob is easier and more precise than my fingertip at the end of an outstretched arm. It also means no fingerprints on the screen.

Handsomely stout yet understated. Very debonaire and athletically sculpted. I love the look of this because visually it captures strength and movement. While decreasing visual heft. It further establishes sporting character lines that emphasize the Mazda design philosophy of fluidity in motion.

the reason why Mazda went for a non-touchscreen infotainment setup is because their philosophy leans towards a more driver-focused experience, which means that you should hold your hands on the steering with your eyes on the road and just enjoy the ride. none of those huge screens that cover up your entire dash or using the screen to simply change gear...
by the way, not sure if it's with this car as well, but mazda's heated steering wheels tend to only warm up the right and left side of the steering wheel and not the entire wheel... yet again because they say that you should hold both your hands on the wheel with your eyes on the road. quite like that setup to be fair

I believe the infotainment screen does become a touchscreen once you start using Apple Carplay. It's certainly a controversial decision on Mazda's part to not have it be a touchscreen from the get-go along with having the option to use the dial according to some people, and I have to agree, especially in a vehicle of this quality.
Another thing I'm not too sure about is the rear glass portion of the car. From certain angles, the rear glass framing looks kind of bulbous and just doesn't suit the SUV proportions. It works better on the smaller Mazda3 hatchback and even then I'm not too sure about the rear proportions of the Mazda3 hatchback. It just has a massive blindspot in the rear.

A Mazda engineer had said in an interview that there would be a way buried in the software to enable touchscreen functionality even outside of Android/Apple... that statement was months ago though, so no idea if that actually made it into the final release.

According to another review, You are correct. The default setting is that in AA or CP, you can only use the touch screen when standing still. BUT you can change the settings in the Menu to use the Info T. system while in AA /CP after adjusting to that feature in the settings.

Did you use 93octane or whatever delaer poured into it aka 87oct ?
Keep in mind excellent fuel economy is there because use of background electric motor filling in at coasting and when you just press accelerator it first uses small electric motor before main engine kicks in....
I hope they can program it that in sport mode it can use turbo power right away or even assist it with electric motor?
I guess there is more programming tweaks to do there

Mazda has produced a dynamic SUV - Built in Japan! I see it as direct competitor the Acura MDX ( I have a 22 MDX Advance) more so than the Volvo. BIAIM, there are few questions about this Mazda> Does it have Remote Start ? Does RS function to engage the rear / front Defrosters & Heated steering Wheel & Heated Side view Mirrors at lower temps? Does it have Auto Entry & Exit by moving the seats and steering wheel to enter and exit the vehicle? My MDX lease comes due in August 2024. This Mazda is on my Short List. For immediate compaison.... A 24 MDX Type S (that model has comparable Power HP/Torque numbers to the Mazda Turbo S) is $13K MORE. The new 25 MDX Type S (Acura now has a Touch Screen InfoT. system to replace their Annoying Touch Pad, which was terrible in AA or CP), has gone up to $77-78K. Yes, You get Massaging seats, Air Suspension, SH_AWD system (considered the best in the business), and an Interior Light show which allows changing the inetrior lighting. Is that worth $15K ??? BTW, My 22 MDX is a fabulous SUV and I may be buying mine for the buyout price of $38.5K with only 21K Miles on the clock. But I will find myself Pining for that extra HP/Torque from the Mazda or a Type S .

It looks a lot better than the CX-60. Those proportions are a bit off and the plug-in isn't really good. The CX-90 looks stunning, although I'm not a fan of that rounded rear and I agree with the taillights being too big (and too BmW-like). The interior is great too and is easy to use.

If I needed a three-row crossover for either space or passengers, and had this $50-70,000 budget, I would shortlist this Mazda CX-90 and Acura MDX. They both seem like a good value, and so much nicer than the very expensive and less reliable European luxury brands. At the same time, they also add luxurious/sporty looks and driving dynamics you won't find in the cheaper Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, etc. alternatives. While I actually like the look of the new Lexus RX, the relatively high price tag and having only two rows of seats make this CX-90 look really enticing.

Even Mazda 47k base model cx90 is way expensive
Give 4 years let customers buy put 100k miles and we will then talk about cx 90
As per auto industry testing standard any vehicle with new engine tranny 100k is minimum and 4 years so lot of fact based evidence are in place to declare the result
Right now no I don't want to be a test subject putting 47k or 52k or 62k on cx90
