    I've had a lot of fun coming out to the KW rally cross events, would love to bring my focus ST out for another run someday. Inspired!

    damn, are those the steelies the fiesta comes with because that'll be sick! Currently at the crossroads of "Show" build, "Track" Build, and "Rally" Build

      Team O'Neill rally school runs only slightly modified Fiesta SE. Looks like it's a great car for getting into the sport!

    It's great to see someone else rallycrossing their FiST! Having broken some engine mounts myself, I am wondering if you feel like the passenger-side engine mount from CPE is more durable than the stock one? It looks like it would have far less movement, but has some tiny hardware that looks like it might not be able to cope with the beating that thing takes.

      The cp-e motor mounts are great and are holding up really, really well. I highly recommend them.

    Bilstein says there's no B6 for the ST just B8. Were you using B6's for the standard fiesta?

    i dont rally so maybe i dont know what im talking about but i do R/c trucks. you look like a lot of understeer(fwd i know) you should get the hang of steering using the weight of the car. the rear end will drift out a bit if you get the weight of the car to help turn. i do own a fiST so i know how its tail happy even on the street. but you gotta swing/sway into the turn. like if its a left 90deg turn for example you do a small right flick/sway at the end of the straight then using the wieght turn left and control the drift. main issue after that is to put the power down. id almost get a buddy to do a detune low boost so you can mat it everywhere and hook up.

    Do you have a link to the suspension you're using? Have you had to strengthen any of the suspension linkages, bushings etc?

    • @MyDrive-mu1lg
      @MyDrive-mu1lg 6 лет назад +1

      I'm using the Bilstein B6s (www.bilsteincanada.com/index.php?cPath=1_4843_16324_17299). They are still holding up great. I haven't changed any suspension bushings, just the motor mounts.

      Hello Daily Driven. So I am currently running 185/65R15s on the car. I use General Tire Altimax Arctics on steelies right now. The Altimaxs have a very thick side wall in comparison to other snow tires, prevent tire debeading. The steelies are a light, inexpensive wheel option that work well for rallycross. If I was to stage the car, this setup would change, but it has been serving me well for rallycross.

      The SCCA rulebook allows only a 1" change in wheel diameter from stock (for their stock class), so the minimum one could go for this class is 16".
      Anyhow, great video and info. Any thoughts on a Fiesta SE for rallycross?

    Anyone paying for tunes is an idiot. It's the biggest scam going, penalizing people who don't understand what it is. I've got two Fiesta rally vehicles, a S1600 and an 1.0T and I've done all my own tuning. Getting a second hand computer is the hard part, but find someone with one and ask if you can have a play.

    • @alejandruke1
      @alejandruke1 3 года назад +1

      Not evertbody has the knowledge to tune their cars, if you know how to you’ll know if you fail on details about tuning you can also break ur engine so i think it’s the knowledge ur paying for, not the tune itself

    • @HulkBogan
      @HulkBogan 3 года назад

      Calling the reputable and we'll developed tunes available for the mk 7 Fiesta st then you are living under a rock my friend. Backyard tuners like yourself wouldn't reliably achieve what they can.

      I paid 70 dollars for a tune that I know won't blow my engine up. I don't feel scammed lol
