There's another one which is really good. It shows people sleeping peacefully in their homes, and in the ceiling you notice the red blip of a smoke detector. Then the video transitions to a night time shot of P-3 Orion survaillance aircraft peacefully cruising over beautiful Norwegian landscape, with a red light flashing underneith. It's a really good ad. "Don't worry, we're here protecting you".

Name on one airplaine is "Hugin"! That is the name of one of the Odin's ravens! Probable second one is named Munin! :)

I did 4 years in the Norwegian armed forces, Very tough training but honestly the best fun I have ever had, Seen some beautiful sights met great lifetime friends and got great life and work skills, Yeah it's hard but pushed me to do thing's I thought I wasn't capable of in my wildest dreams.

Also note that the people in these films aren't actors, they real recruits or employees of our armed forces.

I honestly don’t see the problem. The videos show nothing but facts, beautiful landscape worth defending, unique sights and experiences. I honestly don’t know what you mean when you say “I guess we all have to join the Norwegian army now”, it’s up to each individual and this is a great way of recruiting.

If I had come to Norway in my teens, I would have definitely joined the armed forces. I was in the reserve in my home country and enjoyed it. How much more in Norway where it is a first world country. I could have made a career out of it.

Norwegian recruitment ads awake every beautiful emotion of a man or woman who loves their country. It makes them proud and happy for a place where they live in and shows them what really matters - peace. And that to maintain this peace some people - the best that country can offer - have to stay aware and ready all the time. This is really a work of art! Especially compared to testosterone-pumped ads of countries like China or Russia

The speeches in order, important parts cut out in the video though" We live in a country where everyone can be who they want to be, where you can "grow" your interests" "what is the reason..." "Say what you want, and be what you want, but we can all agree we are lucky to live here, and we have a lot worth protecting"
