I love your videos. I am buying from you rather than Amazon or eBay because you do such a great service in breaking all this down in such magnificent detail. Kudos to Anthony for keeping it brisk and informative. Not easy to pull off Thanks so much!
Jeeze every time Anthony starts off with Watch Decide and Ride, I'm über psyched up to buy just about anything. If only my wallet would match my enthusiasm lol!
.....Thanks for doing this video review!!! ....FYI: I just ordered my new Schuberth C4 helmet from "RevZilla", and will likely order a SC1 Bluetooth communicator, after I pay off the helmet! Good info!!! Thanks!!!
guys try the SEnnheiser cx 7.00BT or Jabra halo smart. Both are neckband headset that connects via bluettoh to your phone. I've been using it while riding and really works quite well. For intercom use intercom app on android or iOS. I never felt Sena was worth the price and also that a piece of plastic sticking out of the helmet. this Schubert integration is good though
Well if you ordered it a YEAR ago then you must have preordered it, meaning at most you’ve been waiting a few months, not a good thing mind you. But don’t be an overdramatic bitch. Also send them an email or chat with them commenting on a youtube video with a fake name will *absolutely* lead to the solving your problem.
Wrong. The helmet was scheduled to come out in the USA in April. It is six months late. Pointing out a six month delay that has led to getting a helmet at the end of the riding season isn't being "dramatic". I have sent them many emails. The point of my comment didn't have anything to do with "solving my problem". That is your false assumption. Bitch.
correct, however a few seconds google check would let you know that Schuberth had some issues with their pinlock systems, an issue that was declared by Schubert to be fixed in September, which is in face only a few weeks ago! Who knew?! and it *still* doesn't help to be bitching in the RUclips comment section =)
I already have a pair of Sena 30ks on old helmets and plan on buying a pair of Schuberth C4 pro carbons. Should I ditch them in favor of the SC1 or integrate them into the helmet somehow?
Sena is about to launch the 30K with Adaptive Mesh Communicator, which should be much better. Will they come out with an SC1 with the Adaptive Mesh technology? I would think it would be better to wait to spend this kind of money and the new technology.
Since the speakers, microphone and wiring are paid for with the helmet, why is the unit so expensive? Too bad that they decide that battery life is an expensive add on.
Yes, both units have a "Universal Pairing" or "Universal Intercom" mode that allows pairing to units from other brands via a simple Bluetooth connection. You won't get all of the features as if you were using the same brand or same model units between riders, but it will still allow you to chat. Feel free to reach out to our Customer Service Gear Geeks with any further questions as they ride with BT units on a daily basis. Enjoy! - Pat
The signal from the microphone is processed to reduce wind- and road-noise, so that your voice sounds clearer on a phone call or in intercom conversation. -DrewZilla
RevZilla commercial says it’s for audio in and out. So it should even reduce noise if you just hear music. Like the Sena helmet do. But where are the review for this functions ? ;)
Anyone have one of these can you tell me how well the microphones in the brow work with the faceshield up or removed? I ride with a C3 & Sena and no face shield and am concerned if the microphones will work with the faceshield removed and thus more wind (My bike has windshield so not crazy amounts of wind (2016 BMW r1200Rt)
For us that have hearing problems, does this helmet and communication system have a headphone jack or Sena port for upgrading headphones or amplifier like the older models?
No, unfortunately it does not have a headphone jack, and the speakers are hardwired into the Schuberth C4 helmet. If you're looking for a good modular helmet in which you can use a communicator with headphones, I recommend the Shoei Neotec, Sena 10R, and Sena 10R Headphone Adapter. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/shoei-neotec-helmet *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sena-10r-low-profile-motorcycle-bluetooth-headset *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sena-10r-earbud-adapter-split-cable
Isn't integration wonderful? I have a 20S that is unusable for me without custom made ear plugs with speakers in my Neotec I. They can claim 80 db at 100km/h on a naked bike, but I don't always ride a naked bike. My ST1300 can be deafening at speed.
I have read terrible reviews all over the internet on this system, I bought a R2 and I’m ver concerned about this. Does anyone knows if the preinstalled speakers, mic and antena can be removed or if they can work with other SENA systems or if there’s any hope that this SC1 will improve in the future?
The speakers, microphone, and antenna are hardwired into the helmet. The antenna cannot be easily removed, and if you wanted to install a different communicator, you'd only need to remove the speakers. Removing the speakers requires cutting the speaker wires, so it's a permanent modification. Also, the preinstalled items are not compatible with other Sena communicators. Hopefully the SC1 will improve with software updates. -DrewZilla
Because the C4 already has speakers and a microphone wired into the helmet, you cannot easily remove them to swap for a Sena 20S. Mounting a Sena 20S and its speakers would require you to sever the stock speakers already hardwired in the helmet. We do not recommend that. Therefore, while it is technically possible to mount a 20S, we do not recommend it. -DrewZilla
How compatible is the SC1 with other Bluetooth comms units? I know the SRC was only compatible with other Sena units, is this the same for the SC1; can it only connect to other SC1's, or various types?
The SRC was only compatible with _Cardo_ units, as it was basically a Cardo G4. The SC1 is Sena-based, so it is compatible with other Sena units. -DrewZilla
I hoped a review would describe how good the product is and how it works, rather than talking about obselete junk for a substantial portion of the time
Sena are a joke, they don't get the basics right, for example, they don't use digitally signed drivers, when installing the software to update the firmware of any Sena product, using Windows 10, it will fail. Digitally signed drivers have been default configurations since Windows 8.1, Windows 7 has been deprecated since 2015.

I like that more helmet manufactures are integrating electronics. I cant wait to see what the next few years brings.
They'll bring integrated hud. Probably will take another 10 years to see it as common as integrated bluetooth though.
Not much, as it turns out.
@@Gr8Layks Seriously. Disappointing.
Hi guys, thanks for your Review. Especially for your german viewers... please speak even faster... i still understand too much..... ;)

Why no soundcheck for a communication unit? =(
C4, the helmet I ordered from Revzilla a YEAR ago and still hasn't arrived!

No, I don't expect Schuberth to make an SC1 with a mesh connection. Perhaps in 3-5 years, they'll have an SC2 with the mesh connection. -DrewZilla
Reviewing a headset and no mic audio sample :/. Sad life.
How good is the ANC to redouce noise from wind and maybe motor ?
Hello, how do I pair my SC1 Advanced with the TFT panel of the BMW 1250 motorcycle? The configuration of the bike I can do, but Intercom can not do.
We don't have a BMW 1250 to troubleshoot, so we recommend reaching out to either Schuberth directly or more likely, to your BMW dealer. -DrewZilla
I’ve paired mine to my phone but it won’t pair to anything else. Can’t talk to my buddies or tomtom
Since the speakers, microphone and wiring are paid for with the helmet, why is the unit so expensive? Too bad that they decide that battery life is an expensive add on.
I would like to have one with AM radio too.
Currently the E1 helmet uses the SRC. Is Schuberth planning on upgrading the E1 helmet to use the SC1?
No, I do not expect the E1 to get the SC1. If they make an E2 in a few years, I would expect that to use the SC1 though. -DrewZilla
Hi, Could you tell me if the SC1 would be compatible with the Cardo packtalk bold by just using the Bluetooth connection and not the Mesh set up?

I just purchased the sena freewire for HD and I'm looking for a new comm unit and lid, will the sc1 advanced pair up with the freewire?... thanks.
Yes, the Freewire can pair with the SC1 Advanced. -DrewZilla

No, the old SRC was Cardo-based, while the new SC1 is Sena-based, so they are incompatible. -DrewZilla

Like other higher end Sena, they have universal connection which means it can connect with a wide range of BT units.
Have they fixed the software problem?
You can't pair n talk to ur friends
