@@TrimutiusToo How did you make Token DH work in duels? I've gotten most meme/weird duels builds to 12 at some point, but Token DH always got demolished once I started playing against burny decks when I couldnt hero power anything lmao
If it always went face it would be sooo much better, the problem is not it's fragility, it's that random 3 damage hits to minions on the board messes up the math too much
For some reason this new core set is giving me a warm feeling and making me want to play hearthstone again after not touching it for over a year. Maybe because I loved playing many of these cards in years past and seeing them back with buffs is like seeing old friends who have grown over time rather than being sad shells of the past?
the best time to start playing harthstone(besides when the game launched lol) is when a new core set is released. i'd highly recommend playing standard because the core set is so busted. i remember last time they introduced a new core set with Forged in the Barrens, i only played standard for 2 weeks, but i'm mostly a wild player. give it a shot, they'll give you a bunch of free card packs too
I think that the way the Immune keyword works is going to change, there was a leak about it last week. This would make sense as I don't doubt Blizzard would be afraid that this Jailer/Mal'ganis combo could be toxic in lower levels of play. From what I gathered, Immune should no longer prevent an opponent from targeting a minion. So you should be able to deal with Malganis with single target removals which greatly nerfs the jailer
This is also what the keyword always suggested: "immune minions can't take damage". It was never stated in the game that you can't target them, until you tried and realized the hidden immune power
The buff cracks me up given it was one of the longest complained about cards in Hearthstone. I'm not convinced it will see play, but I'm glad to have it back.
I like this sort of fine tuning with core set although I would like even more insight into the decision process behind it. Like do they suspect a bunch of taunt minions will play a key role in the meta sometime this year since they put Kayn and new and improved Black Knight in? Would be very interesting to hear. Seeing Hex at 3 mana just feels great and stat/mana tuning for underpowered older cards is awesome too, but I would wish completely new designs like the overheal package would get completely new cards and not cannibalize old designs even though they didn't see play before. I guess a silverlining there is if you still have those cards and they have to nerf them, you'll get a dust refund on previously unplayed cards.
My guess is that they'd be pushing taunt warrior sometime during the year and *just in case* that ends up being too good, they're putting in anti-taunt tech cards in the core set right now.

Radiant elemental and brann rotation definitely necessary to the corset. Otherwise, this expansion didn't really seem interesting to me so I'm probably going to skip it.
