Not wild, but definitely memorable. I caught the members of Linkin Park not too far from the show and got to spend an hour or so playing basketball with Chester and Mike. One of my favorite memories.
Didn’t realize how much I said “rocked” in that comment lol. I guess it just seemed appropriate. I hadn’t seen anyone get hit that hard before, and haven’t since. It was absurd. 8 years later and I remember it vividly. 😂
That makes sense. In 2012 they didn’t have waters spouts and you had to buy bottled water. Then I went again in 2015 and there was a dedicated water refill station.
there was a guy dressed as jesus and a guy dressed as a spartan warrior they both got into a serious brawl and got tazed before being escorted out. this was in west palm beach Florida 2018
I was at the Columbus Ohio Summer Slaughter tour and this couple brought their toddler/young kid to the pit. The kid sat on his parents shoulders and even was moshing and hardcore dancing. His mom paid good attention to him so at the breakdowns she'd come scoop him up. The people in the pit even formed at protective circle around him so he'd be safe! When BTBAM finally came out he repeatedly crowd surfed up to the front where the security would escort him back to his parents so he could do it again.
This is by far my favorite comment of 2020. I know you submitted it in 2018, but I didn't read it until just now, and it's too early to claim a favorite comment for 2021. So legendary I hope that kid got a video of it to play at his high school graduation when he wins the "Most Likely to be President Award".
A few years ago, I was talking to some guy before Chelsea grin because we both had kublai khan hats on and we kinda bonded over them and then about 20 minutes later, he crowdkilled the shit outta me. God I love this scene 😂👌🏼
I and my mom got caught in the bless the fall wall of death in 2012(It was my first mosh pit or wall of death ever) this 6ft3in dude came out to 13 yr old 4'5 me and punched me so hard it chipped my collar bone. So I reached up and broke his fucking nose. I went to the medic to get checked out becauze I couldnt breathe and While waiting to get passed the gate I accidentally stepped passed the stage line because I was pushed and the security gaurd hit me in the exact spot yet he was the one that was waiting to escort me. So the fuck knew what he was doing. It was a fun time but that was fucked up.
The BEST story was when Jordan Buckley of ETID wouldnt stop playing that riff from Map Chnage like 10 minutes after the set was supposed to be over because he didnt want it to end
ETID in general are epic. You ever want to chill with them, just go on up to the so-called "Twin Cities" outside of Buffalo and sit outside of a Tops supermarket with a 30 rock. Andy'll swing by, shoot the shit, and then drag you off to go party, because: "You had beer, and I am thirsty" (In his own words). Hell, they used to do Christmas shows up here when the local bowling alley was still open. It was the first time I ever saw a mosh pit set to Sexy Back and The Final Countdown. (With Andy dressed as Santa, and pelvic thrusting his guitar.) And Keith trying to kill himself by back-flipping off the stacks. (The ceilings were super low, and he grazed his head on it.) Or when he asked for christmas gifts and got a shoe, someone's ripped off dreadlock, and a pack of smokes. Then threw a fit cause he didn't have a lighter. (Until someone chucked on at his head) Or the greatest moment; They covered Ace Of Spades and the roof just exploded. There are two videos of them playing it here on youtube, but they're shit quality.
My warped tour story is 2014 in Phoenix i went in only a speedo and absolutely slathered in suscreen and the vocalist of this australian band (forgot who they were exactly) said "this ones for the guy in the bungies in the back". I also found another guy doing the speedo thing but he one upped me by wearing a cape too
My favorite Warped Moment was when I saw Born of Osiris in Dayton, OH and when they played “Follow The Signs” there were random people in the pit that yelled and pointed “go to the *insert name here* sign!” And everyone ran over to that sign and they tried to go to run to as many signs as possible before the song ended. The lead vocalist looked so confused the whole time. It was amazing.
Biggest regret is never seeing Paramore or A Day To Remember play Warped Tour. I’ve seen them at big concerts but I wish I could’ve seen them play Warped, the smaller setting and during their 2009 era. Brand New Eyes and Homesick are 2 of my favorite albums of all time. But in 2009 I was only 13 and my mom wouldn’t have let me go alone
Jared's story about the kid staying 10 feet away reminds me of when i wanted to ask a band for merch after their show but was to shy to aproach them, my step dad had to ask them for me, they were cool, i got all 3 of their albums for half the normal price
My friends were standing about 15 feet away from the girl who died during Chelsea Grin. I don't know if they ever actually confirmed what happened to her, but before Warped she had posted on twitter that she hadn't slept all night, and they believe she was severely dehydrated and possibly had a heart attack.
At Warped Milwaukee, they put Motionless and the smaller Monster stage, and so many people showed up that they had to ask people to leave. No one did, and there was two walls of death and a circle pit.
I got an issue of AP magazine with Silverstein on the cover and they signed it right in front of me. I put it in my pocket and and kept checking to make sure it was there through the whole day. At the august burns red show I crowd surfed and lost it. Soul crushing experience right there.
This year was my first/last time at Warped Tour. I went for my 17th birthday and I live in Las Vegas so I was very close to passing out, but so many people sprayed me and the crowd with water. Lots of people were nice to me and I made a new friend who saved me from mosh pits.
During black veil brides “knives and pens”, this one extremely overweight kid kept crowd surfing. He even kicked me in the face once. I think there should be a weight limit on crowd surfing 😑
My cousin told me this one, she took my aunt to Warped and I forget what band she said was playing but there was a huge pit and my aunt was trying to leave and get water when she got pushed into the pit. Luckily she didn't get hit and eventually got out.
During the last Warped Tour in Michigan. during the breakdown of Wage War this guy randomly did a hoedown dance.. I of course joined in. It was awesome!
Many moons ago, The Vandals helped my friends, and, I sneak into the Warped Tour in NJ. This is going back to when it was held right on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, and, when it was still a punk/hardcore festival.
My best warped tour story: I was eight years old. I was at the gorge. My dad set me down in front of him while we were watching the Adolescents play(A fucking awesome old school punk band) and some dud came barrelling out of the circle pit, into my dad, into me, into the fence. I had a giant goose egg the size of a golf ball. It sure looked it too because of the fence pattern. It was pretty rad. It didn't feel like it at the time but now it sure does.
the girls name was Taylor Nesseth , just googled this litterally while watching. cause of death was unknown but r.i.p ..her last tweet was talking about goin to the concert :( and being excited
Trondheim rock 2018 at volbeat i was at front row and the pit was right behind me and this man got down on his knees and propsed to his girl she said yes
2018 Nashville I was watching Knocked Loose and as soon as they started their set a kid in the back dropped and started wildly seizing, took the band like a minute and a half to stop and the crowd had no idea. Got help and he turned out okay but it was wild that only me and two other people saw it.
When I think of someone getting rocked in the pit I think of someone just slamming into a guy super fucking hard so that he goes flying and smacks on the ground, but then i remembered that this was about warped tour and quickly realised it was about someone getting karate kicked.
going back to the sick kid thing Austin said, my moms mom made her lick a lollipop that her friend had who had measels, this was back in the 70s too so that mustve been fun haha
Even though it's too late, my craziest Warped Tour story would be Atlanta 2004, I found a bag one of the band's roadies or something left begind. Had a book of cds, a Sony walkman cd player, a bunch of condoms, etc and the cash box from that days merch sales which was a little more than 3 grand. I've always wished I could find out who the band was.
I went to the first warped tour in '96 or so. It was part of Bumbershoot at the Seattle Center. I saw Sublime and Deftones when they were completely unheard of. Deftones completely dominated. L7 was there too. Good times.
Tinkey Park, Illinois 2016. This girl we were with (who was also our ride) went to Chelsea Grin’s set. At the end of the day we were waiting for her for like half an hour until she finally showed up with an enormous shiner. She got decked in the eye and passed out in the crowd, and woke up in the band’s trailer. She said she didn’t remember much but she didn’t fuck any of them and they were super cool about all of it.
Rip Warped Tour. I remember in 2015 Warped in Hartford CT, a girl had to be ambulanced out because she fainted after Vic from Pierce The Veil touched her hand during their set. Recently at this years Warped in Jones Beach during Real Friends' set I saw a crowd surfer got dropped on top of the barricade and when he fell he was convulsing and foaming at the mouth. Everyone around him thought he snapped his neck because of the angle it was in, the band even stopped playing
At this year's Warped Tour a girl I know got a crowd surfer dropped on her head and she was unconscious for 6 hours lol. Woke up in the hospital with no recollection.
Dude I was there at the Toronto warped tour. She died of dehydration and heat exhaustion she drank two monsters and no water. She died right after Memphis May fire and like two songs in to Chelsea grin Every time I die ended up being moved to main stage and played second last and dedicated their set to her
I'm probably gonna get in trouble for posting this, but if you ever look back on these comments. My best Warped Tour story was going up to the 2018 Warped Tour, me and my best friend thought we could scalp tickets when we got there because it was a last minute decision and somebody has a ticket they're selling. we spent an hour asking anyone and everyone we could find to see if they had a ticket to sell. We passed by the band bus entrance several times and realized, no one is watching this. we walked in, looked at how we were dressed...passed between the Chelsea Grin bus and some other band, right up to the gates and they let us in. we saw the 2018 Warped Tour for free and found out why you shouldn't buy $12 beers at 11 am in the sun and think you can hang till 5. Thats my epic Warped Tour adventure.
I went to Warped Tour in KC when I was in high school. While I was watching a band I started getting very bad tunnel vision. I told my friend I needed to leave, so we walked out of the crowd to the merch area. I was delirious and stumbling and tripping on vendor tables. Eventually my vision went black and when I came to, I was rushing towards a trash can and puking my guts out. Some shirtless dude with a bow tie carried me to a med tent where myself and 2 other girls shared a puke bucket lol. I had severe heat stroke, among other embarrassing things, and a very intense sunburn that left me blistered and lobster red for days. I still had fun though 😂😂
Best warped tour story was at the Pontiac silverdome not sure the year, but the transplants played and so did dropkick murphys, i was on stage for DKM. & was back in the tour lot after the show partying with the bands, hung with Matt Kelly, & Ken Casey, say Tim Arnstrong walking around with young ladies under his arms almost proving him up. & playing 4,5,6. With some of the bands. Even better was warmup was getting drunk with the koffin kats on Stroh's before they went on. Love those guys!
I had an experience where a guy from the Nashville Tennessee Warped Tour of 2018 when people were having heat illnesses one dude had collapsed in front of me and nearly tripped over him walking over to Mutant Red Dawn Stage for The Amity Affliction.
Love your guys’ videos, seen literally every single one (including the 5 1/2 hour live stream 😂) you guys should try color grading your videos just for the extra oomph
Just imagine swinging back at someone who turned out to be a marine and once he hits back people around them actually think it was the snare drum that went off in some odd time.
not at warped, but at a rise against concert, there was this group of guys no younger than like 80 that were fucking BOPPING to the music harder than half the crowd... like one had hearing aids and everything... i aspire to be as cool as them
During Chelsea Grin's set this year, there was a massive circle pit and I was running in it, and there was a trash/recycling bin knocked over just in the way at one point, and everyone was going around it but I thought, fuck it I'm going for this, and I tried to run onto it and jump off but completely fucking failed and basically just tripped off of it, and skinned my knee and elbow and got a massive bloody road rash on my arm, and it tore a massive hole in my favorite pair of jeans. Some guy tried to help me up as I was struggling to regain my balance and I just fucking fell again, took a few seconds to return to my feet. But holy shit that was fun. I also ate Froot Loops, straight out of the box, with some dude in the middle of the pit during Simple Plan.
Aww damn, wish I saw this post: My first Warped Tour I got my eye gashed within the first 15 minutes of entering. I stayed in the pit and the security told me after the band ended their set that I was bleeding. The worst part? Texas, AT&T Center, 102 weather, bleeding out. Yep
Not from warped, but there was a guy that had a chain attatched to his septum ring and was hauling around a brick on the end of it. I watched him swing it around a couple times. Still amazed his nose never fell off his face.
Back in 2005 in Alberta, people threw full soup cans at Simple Plan. One pegged their guitarist/ bassist in the face and they walked right off one song into their set. Everyone cheered, NOFX was next on stage.
Bro, u can get ROCKED at any show for any band. I went to a red jumpsuit apparatus show in philly and these big dudes were moshing HARD and this scrawny kid joins in and immediately got whiplashed to the floor 🤣🤣
When I was at warped tour at the gorge with a bunch of friends. One of them every time we went would bring a potato cannon and at night at the camp he would shoot it into the campgrounds at random angles and directions.
Not sure if this was the same year but I saw two warped tour videos of fit for a king one of someone doing a circle pit with their little kid in a stroller and one where the bass player tuck was spinning and his bass strap broke and the bass went into the crowed
Back in 2013 at the Camden show, during one of the metalcore or deathcore band's sets, a guy with a bull ring was in the pit, and someone's finger got caught in it during the breakdown. That was a mess
Also, warped 2012 in Buffalo I was waiting for For Today's set and Falling in Reverse was playing a stage over so I walked over to check it out [idk why]. Someone threw a phone case and a water bottle at Ronnie Radke and dude freaked out and started saying "fuck Buffalo, fuck NY, we'll never come back here to play, and warped tour will never come here again" and then they stopped playing. For Today was dope tho
I'm pretty sure I saw a dude die at a Slayer show in 2007. Dude a few rows in front of me, just collapsed. Like 5 minutes later, paramedics were carrying him out and trying to resuscitate him.
Not wild, but definitely memorable. I caught the members of Linkin Park not too far from the show and got to spend an hour or so playing basketball with Chester and Mike. One of my favorite memories.
Chester didnt hurt his ankle that day did he? Lol rest in peace
That's so fucking cool!
My God, you lucky son of a bitch 😄
How is that not wild!? That's awesome
That makes me very happy to hear this
I swear to god Austin should do stand up
Cody Smith nah he rather sits down
Cody Smith it would be funny af
yeah boi. i'd buy tickets.
He has to has Jared right beside him to laugh at everything
Sounds like the guy with the box of condoms was prepared to do that to whichever band came on
I'm the dude in the 2nd story. I can confirm the guy who threw the condoms was pissed cause his band lost.
Agathor 1930 I got my box of magnums, I got my was of 100s , I'm ready to plowwwww

Didn’t realize how much I said “rocked” in that comment lol. I guess it just seemed appropriate. I hadn’t seen anyone get hit that hard before, and haven’t since. It was absurd. 8 years later and I remember it vividly. 😂
A girl did sadly pass away in 2012 at warped tour, I believe it was because of Dehydration but I might be mistaken
You're right, that why they have water and shit now
I’ve heard of this death before and it was dehydration but I didn’t know it was one of my favorite bands playing......
That makes sense. In 2012 they didn’t have waters spouts and you had to buy bottled water. Then I went again in 2015 and there was a dedicated water refill station.
The wall of death where the mother took her infant it was infant annihilator who was playing
Braxton Gary holy shit
Infant Annihilator doesnt play live tho
Daniel Champion:
the joke
You
come on man
it wasn't infant. it was suicidal angels
there was a guy dressed as jesus and a guy dressed as a spartan warrior they both got into a serious brawl and got tazed before being escorted out. this was in west palm beach Florida 2018
psychventure "Florida man" am I right?
the legends are true i see them all the time it makes for an interesting day
Of course it's in Florida
Didn't Romans kill Jesus? This was just his grudge match.
@@viscountrainbows6452 Romans not the Greeks lol
I know that short old guy. He's gotta be 4 foot tall, 65, and he's at almost every metal show in Sacramento in the pit Everytime
That's why I love the scene man. Hardcore love
Okay the protective circle for them was the only entertaining part of that
HOW CUTE
I know this comment is from like a year ago but I love your username.
This is by far my favorite comment of 2020. I know you submitted it in 2018, but I didn't read it until just now, and it's too early to claim a favorite comment for 2021. The BEST story was when Jordan Buckley of ETID wouldnt stop playing that riff from Map Chnage like 10 minutes after the set was supposed to be over because he didnt want it to end
Joey Richey 18 minuyes and it was glorious. Everyone was fucking crying and god it was crazy
i saw that video it’s so sad
lol he did that at the Tinker Field show in Orlando and it was great lol such a good riff

Or when he asked for christmas gifts and got a shoe, someone's ripped off dreadlock, and a pack of smokes. Then threw a fit cause he didn't have a lighter. (Until someone chucked on at his head)

Dear god
Penelope Garcia65 the struggle is real! But honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better day at warped tour :p
I second this weight limit.
Penelope Garcia65 jesus that's rough
"Thanks a lot front porch step" lmaoooo
That would be a damn good metal video idea. The guy wanting to have a mosh pit and a breakdown to be his last breath. Lol like a metal soldier.
"He completed his mission". Haha y'all are funny.

I have experienced that same shiveled old man at festivals multiple times
2018 Nashville I was watching Knocked Loose and as soon as they started their set a kid in the back dropped and started wildly seizing, took the band like a minute and a half to stop and the crowd had no idea. Got help and he turned out okay but it was wild that only me and two other people saw it.
Austin, your awesome. Jared, your awesome too. You guys are both extremely talented❤ Showin love from Maryland!!!
Dickey lost a lot of weight over the past years just noticed from watching some old videos, dope 🤙🏽
Lmao when someone gets hit badly in the pit here (Germany) there are like a ton of pps who run into that pit and help him out tho xD
That happens here in America too
When I think of someone getting rocked in the pit I think of someone just slamming into a guy super fucking hard so that he goes flying and smacks on the ground, but then i remembered that this was about warped tour and quickly realised it was about someone getting karate kicked.

Love those guys!
yes consistent uploads, i stan
I miss warped so much. The venue that held it in my city is literally down the street from me and summer feels so empty without it.
At the Jacksonville show i didn't even get to see Wage War cause its rained out sadly but i did get too see abunch of other bands i like
not at warped, but at a rise against concert, there was this group of guys no younger than like 80 that were fucking BOPPING to the music harder than half the crowd... like one had hearing aids and everything... i aspire to be as cool as them
It just shoots out like a cannon 🤣🤣🤣
JERRY WHERES MY FUCKING BAT! nearly killed me with laughter
Austin sneezing was the best thing ive heard all day
I was at Chelsea Grin in Atlanta and they were playing Hostage and there was a sumo match in the mosh pit with a ref and everything
Wage War snuck me into a August Burns Red show in New Orleans one time. Best night of my life
Aww damn, wish I saw this post: My first Warped Tour I got my eye gashed within the first 15 minutes of entering.
At the Nekrogobblekon set in MA the whole pitt dropped and started doing push-ups.
Back in 2005 in Alberta, people threw full soup cans at Simple Plan. One pegged their guitarist/ bassist in the face and they walked right off one song into their set. Everyone cheered, NOFX was next on stage.
the warped tour nut twister sounds like a good thriller!
Bro, u can get ROCKED at any show for any band. I went to a red jumpsuit apparatus show in philly and these big dudes were moshing HARD and this scrawny kid joins in and immediately got whiplashed to the floor 🤣🤣
Also saw guitarist from Every Time I Die threw up while playing and then kept playing
This reminds me every copenhell, this dude is just going around hitting people in the head with a leak. Shits crazy
Victor V Madsen Forhåbentlig blev han smidt ud på et tidspunkt?
Sebastian Viuf nope, han var åbenbart ikke træls nok. Jeg syntes personligt det var sjovt
Shit goes down at Copenhell 🤘
3:26 Yup, that's it I'm laughing out loud
When I was at warped tour at the gorge with a bunch of friends. One of them every time we went would bring a potato cannon and at night at the camp he would shoot it into the campgrounds at random angles and directions.
There was this one time where i never went to Warped Tour. Shit.
Why do you have a filter on the video that make it look like you are colorblind?
"Today we are doing....."
"A bunch of mushrooms," I fucking died lmfao y'all are too funny
2:15 it happened. 19 year old Taylor Nesseth was found unconscious next to the stage and died, but no official cause was released.
Oh no, that sucks.
Dude some of this shit is crazy
jokes on you, apparently Warped will never die (which I have no issues with)
