Getting there Derek. PS I was watching these Pakistani guys extracting gold from mobile phones - it was really interesting and crazy - asian skills media channel.
Good to hear you're feeling better from the cold. "Time to turn on the Sun" 🤣 That light is Incredible, lights up two city blocks. Really good progress on the mini and the paint job is looking good. Nice work you guys. Love the bluesy music vibe too.
It’s kind of funny hearing a lady say, “Nice “she’s” getting there. lol. My dad was an electrician and auto mechanic and one day I asked him why do people always refer to things as “she” His answer which is unpopular with most women today was , “we always refer to things as she because you never know what’s going on in a woman’s mind” and we never know what’s going to happen with a motor or repair. lol.
Dude you have the perfect oven put the insinuating oven on pre heat turn off place parts in leave for 30 minutes should be awesome have a go. Amazing results 15mins in back to the video
Looks good so far. I have a brand new radiator that come out of a Toyota fork truck! It's all aluminum though. The kink is don't think will cause problems. Mine is kinked worse than that !
The restoration vids are always a good watch, also glad to see Steve back and breaking everything 😂.. when is your work truck up on the chopping block?
Hey Derek, great video tonight. I would change the Teflon tape on that fitting that is leaking. They sell special Teflon tape for gas lines, it’s yellow. I’m pretty sure it’s heavier. My dad used to rebuild engines and propane forklifts. He always swore by using Permatex. Use the #2 Permatex, it’s non hardening. That noise you hear like a screech almost sounds like a bad fan clutch (if it has a clutch) or maybe it’s possibly a slipping belt. Try some belt dressing on it. Why don’t you just pick up a new rectifier for the alternator I may give you a call tomorrow but I hate to bother you during work. Ok, take it easy brother.
Good one thing you take your time and figure it out and get it taken care of water line might cross reference to another machine when get done going to look awesome did the hoses have a psi rating on them just asking my dump trucks had to have a certain pressure rating for the hydraulic system but can't wait till done be better than a new one thanks for keeping us updated on progress on the Nissan
I bet you could source a seat, cheaply (or free) from an old boat. or a lawnmower or something. Do you think it would be possible to add a second control lever. One for "Fork up, Fork down" and a separate one for "Tilt forward, tilt back" The set up that you have now seems weird to me. Maybe you can get used to it, but i think separate control levers would make more sense.
It is weird. lol I'm still trying to get used to it. The machine does have a valve and a hole for the handle already for a 3rd function I could just swap the lines and add a handle idc I wanted. But I really want a side shifter.
after you run that fo awhile you should change or flush the radiator again and after no leaks put in the recomended amount of antifreeze to keep it as cool as possiable . get you a steathascope and put it at various places to hear the internal of the engine. can you hear the slight ticking?
It doesn't have a thermostat, or that one is stuck open. A stuck thermostat can cause them to run hot because the water is moving too fast. I would replace water pump and all hoses unless they just look exceptional.
Been down with the flu for a while, forklift looks fantastic that thing will run for 10,000 more hours can’t believe all the haters,I guess they are the ones wasting all of the perfectly fine things we see all the time. Everything new is shit nowadays that forklift will outlast ten new ones. Gonna try to get caught back up on the videos. If you don’t get the seat issue resolved I would get one from a golf cart they are piled up all over the state shouldn’t be a big deal to find a nice one.
WATER PUMP WORKING? Drain and save the antifreeze. Again. Fill back up with water, run to open thermostat ( if it has one), remove top hose to see if water pump is pumping. MECHANICS; is this a valid check???

Thanks I will check it out.
Great video. Might not want to send Steve over to the side with a propane Leak . 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 🤘
😂😂😂 We have had a close call in the shop with propane in the past. lol

Thanks! 👊
Hey friend. Best thing for propane would be yellow tape. Thanks for the video. Your great.
Thanks I will be on the look out for it. I lost the footage but I used teflon and pipe dope. lol
You haven't replaced this machine with an old one. Wow, may God bless you. May God bless your business even more.
Thanks!
Nice she's getting there 😊

Thanks! So far it's holding up great.
The restoration vids are always a good watch, also glad to see Steve back and breaking everything 😂.. when is your work truck up on the chopping block?
I'm talking with the neighbors about painting it. I have a ton of parts I have been gathering up for it.
Thx for the update! Love this forklift serie
Glad you like it. 👍
Fork lift is looking good.
Thanks!
Lol, definitely paint the back black😂 "Back in Black"🤘🤘🤘🤘🎉
😂😂😂😂
Coming along and looking good.
You will need to get you some of your stickers on that counter weight when it’s done. 👍
I like that idea. 👊
its comming togather just fine glad its running too its going to be a nice addition to the shop for sure ,thanks for sharing with us
Thanks for watching 👍

@Naplesfrank154 Agree on the rectifier. If the bearings are good, the rectifier is an easy/cheap fix. Put away the hammer and hatchet for this one.
Thanks for the suggestion. 👊
Great video, forkie mac fork face is starting to look worthy of the shop colors. Keep the updates coming.
Thanks!
You guys in West Palm. I'm in Boca last city in Palm Beach.
Nice thanks for watching
jibber jabber got me hitting the fast forward button a lot
Must be you're first video here ..sit back and enjoy the flow of information. No cry baby's allowed 😂☠️
😂😂 Yea some say I talk too much.
Nice forklift series.
Thanks!
Did you do a compression/vacuum test on the radiator ?
No It stoped leaking.
I am looking real close I do believe you do have room for twin turbos under that hood😂
😂😂😂 Yes that would be awesome. lol
Between the lathe and the mill, you could make a cool custom wheel spinner!
😂😂😂

Thanks for the suggestion, I have a stethoscope and will try that but it sounds really good.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've been working it and it has not overheated.
Best thing to do with the old crap heap is take it to the scrap yard and cut your losses
Why It's running great. lol
The top of the motor still looked dry. Did you confirm oil is getting up there?
Not yet I have filters coming and I will be checking that.
I can see by the video you posted 3 days ago, that the fork lift is working good after this video recorded 9 days ago.
Yes it is working great.
Bonus; sketchy stuff.
😂😂😂
Is the alternator chargeing cause got it wet when cleaning out radiator just saying
No it needs momentary power to excite the coil. It had it but a diode went bad and they butchered the wiring. lol
Noise might be lack of oil.
It only happened once
Can You Please tell me the Part Number for the Hydrulic Oil filter ..Thanks Danny Australia ...Have a Great Xmass
They just came in when I get them from the mail box I will show them in a video.

Thanks for the suggestion. I need a low profile seat.
Thermostat????

SKETCHY should be your nick name . Couse everything you do is sketchy.
😂😂😂
You will be the laughing stock of the place driving that old heap
Maybe but I will be saving my back and time.
