    I appreciate this video so much. I am like her and for years I've had this on my heart to do and don't know where to start and I have very little money to start (this is one of my hurdles). I've been watching many RUclipsrs through the years to try to put things together. But I'm always coming back to Juna and Cassiy because they seem to both be very willing to help those who have questions. In 2025 I'm going to stop delaying it and just go for it by whatever means I can. This video is really encouraging thank you. To Christine, I just want to say that your drive is amazing and I'm sure your family and kids are very proud of you.

      This video gave me so much inspiration! The funny thing is, I’ve watched all of Cassiy’s videos, as well as others like Simply Shawna and Mandy. I’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from all of them, but I still feel overwhelmed. Christine said it best: stop watching so many influencers, focus on just one, and simplify. My designs are beautiful but overly complicated, and since starting in March 2023, I’ve only made 70 sales. I keep jumping from one idea to another. Everyone’s been so helpful, but today I made the decision to sign up for Cassiy’s course and commit to it. I’ve already done so much research and groundwork. Now, it’s time to simplify, focus, and move forward!

    I am living in Turkey, and because of this government, life really becomes harder and harder every single day. I've heard this girl from my cousin in CA and got her course from my cousin. I have created my store with her course and really focused like 5-6 months on it and followed every single step very carefully. I never skipped any of it and also watched many videos about store management from YT also followed many topics on the Etsy forum, and now I am growing like a rocket. Maybe getting 75-80 orders every single day and also became a provider for many teams like hotels or wedding planners with my products.
    Me and my wife are literally living like rich people in Istanbul because of her. We cannot thank her enough, even though we pray for her every single hour. We wish you and your lovely family the best and a healthy new year!!!!

      So glad you were motivated by the video!! No I think she meant 5 minutes to design, not the SEO. But for seo try to keep it simple, I just look at the top 4 bestsellers seo, take out words that don’t apply or are trademarked and then you could even give those to chat gpt and ask them to give the best 140 character or less title separated by commas using those keywords!

    The first sale is the best feeling, especially when you've never sold anything before. I'm considering switching from digital products to physical but im soooo nervous since digital products are so easy and hassle free. When deciding on a physical product to sell, what do you think is a good search volume for a keyword? I think 4-5,000 monthly searches is pretty good. What I'm selling only has 1,200 monthly searches... and i'm thinking maybe that's why i haven't seen higher revenue. Not enough demand.

      11:10 - "....but those are like listings that took me less than five minutes and I just changed a few things and relisted it ..." SHE JUST SAID SHE DOES EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE BELITTLING SOMEONE ELSE FOR!!! Why don't you get off your high horse and learn English, since you want to insult people's intelligence, I can play that game as well!
      What? No, we want to see what works, which if you watch any of the videos about starting Etsy you would know that is a huge part of starting a store, knowing what sells and what doesn't. The whole concept of having niche merch is taking ideas and templates and changing them a little for your store. Yes, we want to check out her business because we want to do what works, DUH! She is extremely successful you think a couple people having similar products (which I'm sure, there are already plenty of items that are similar on Etsy already) is going to "spoil the whole thing"? Where do you think she got her ideas from? How do you think she got her first items up and running? By looking at the "Best Sellers" and doing something similar. If you're going to be rude to people, think about it first, because what you are accusing her of doing is what everyone trying to start out does. She even said, she started by watching others!
      Lastly, if you're going to talk sh*t to someone, run your insult though a translator or something first because your poor sentence structure and English is horrible. You sound stupid!
      Everyone looks at what works and does something similar, that's what this whole business model is structured on sweetheart. You really pissed me off with that comment, as if you're better than everyone else. I asked the same thing, where can I see her page, so I can see what works!

    I tried getting started with POD and I’m an artist and pro graphic designer, but I couldn’t move forward and got cut short early when I realized in my first sale that Printify charges ME rather than the charged balance the full amount of the item before anything and I don’t have a ton of money that if I got multiple orders I could afford something like that.

    • @blackkitt98
      @blackkitt98 Месяц назад

      Not sure what the problem was. When you get a sale, you are paid, say, $20 from the buyer for a mug, then to fulfill it, you are charged, say, $12 from Printify, Printful, whoever, to fulfill it. Ok, you might have to wait a week to get paid the $20, but you will still have profit.

    Thanks for this great video! Only sell (or list) what’s selling right now… my question is, we have been told to list 60-90 days ahead…? Would love a little clarification on how to balance these two pieces of advice. Thanks!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Месяц назад +1

      I would say that posting 60-90 days in advance is a good idea but not the only strategy that I would use. Even for holidays like Christmas, I recommend getting started listing early but then also to keep listing based on what you see trending all the way until Black Friday! I had lots of students in November post items for sale in the 2nd or 3rd week in November and get bestseller badges within a week because they were posting in real time trending items while customer were buying.
      So do a bit of both! It's a good idea to be looking at what's also selling right now and posting for that as well! So look for bestseller badges and niches/items with 20+ in the cart or lots sold in the last 24 hours and make designs for those and post them right away! I would be focussing on this about 50% of your time listing for you store.

    I would like to clarify - what is selling right now might be from totally different niches. So how does it go together with an idea of having an Etsy store for a particular niche? Or I should not concentrate on 1 niche?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  25 дней назад +1

      I have always thought general stores on Etsy are the best move! I’d recommend posting in lots of niches until you find what’s selling, then make more of what sells, more designs, add those designs to more products etc.
      Then eventually you’ll probably narrow it down to mostly 3-4 niches that you post for the majority of the time once you find the most profitable ones for you! Better to pick your main niches based on the proof of what worked instead of just which one you think will be best of that makes sense!

    So I have a question. Christine says she's listing items off your trend report as quickly as she can, and getting sales right away. How are those listings getting seen in the algorithm that quickly? I ask because most times it's preached to be designing for something about 3 months out for holidays for example, which makes sense to be ahead of the bulk of the searches. But how do her listings get seen that quickly??

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Месяц назад

      So listing for holidays in advance is a good strategy yes but not the only one, a good way to get sales is to also post right now in niches that are selling today! Then your listings can get seen much more quickly, because customers are actively looking for and buying those items right now

    This is such an inspiring video, Cassiy! What a beautiful success story. But I just want to get this right… For those 2000+ sales she made, she had to PAY for all those products, upfront, on Printify, right?
    So in other words, to make a huge amount of sales, you probably have to have a lot of $$$ in the bank (or available credit on a credit card), to pay for them, BEFORE you get paid from Etsy. Is that right? Thanks for all your incredible videos!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  27 дней назад

      So glad you enjoyed the video 🎉 for the first 90 days or so that your shop is open, you get out on payment reserves and don’t get the money from Etsy until the item ships, so I do recommend having a few hundred dollars saved up to get started!
      But usually you slowly build your business, it’s not like most people get tons of sales their first few weeks. So you’ll have time to save up your profits as well. Then after the 90 days your money will get deposited the next day in your account from Etsy so it isn’t long that you are covering the costs!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Месяц назад

      Some ornaments do sell throughout the year when there are big events like last year with the solar eclipse for example but no typically they don't make a big income throughout the year. I would recommend getting into some other products to supplement the rest of the year as well but congrats on your sales!! That's awesome

    I will never ever use etsy ads. I already pay for the POD supplier, etsy fees, shipping, and tooling for me to create designs. Etsy should be ranking me organically for having a good product. Having an ads section is the antithesis of a search engine.

      It just means items for groups of people like matching family vacation shirts, bachelorette party shirts or mommy and me matching shirts for example. I do have a group listing tutorial on my channel if you want to check it out!

    I WANT TO USE aI AND CANVA FOR SHOWER CURTAINS. hOWEVER i CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GENERATE AN IMAGE FOR PRINTIFY AND KEEP QUALITY PRINT

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Месяц назад

      So what you need to do is take the image size that printify wants you to make the shower curtain and then divide it by 3. You can find that number by going to the page where you add the design to Printifg and there will be an “I” on the top right and you can see the pixel size they want for a design.
      So then that size is probably too big to make a canvas of on Canva so divide the number by 3 and then make that your canvas size on Canva
      Make your design and then when you go to save it, you’ll see a slider bar on the part where you select png file, slide that over until it gets to the size that Printify said they want and save your file!
      If you are using AI then you may also need to use an image upscaler, look in the canva App Store and there is one that you can upload your image to that will improve the quality of your design!
      Hope that helps

    Very inspiring!!! Thanks for sharing! Question- does printify not have a customer service phone number? How do you reach out when you have an issue with your order? The only thing I see is to reach out to printify via chat, but every time I do that, there’s always like 200 people ahead of me and the chat times out because I don’t have time to sit there and wait. H E L P!!

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Месяц назад +1

      If you have an order issue then the best way to handle it is to submit an issue on the order - when you click on the order you will see the button.
      If you just want to check on why something is taking so long to ship, then I wouldn't spend the time waiting in the chat because that's probably why there are so many people waiting. It's normally super fast to get a response but these 2-3 weeks are crazy.

    I guarantee this seller didn’t make any PROFIT in the end. Etsy Ads are a scam if you let them take advantage of you. Also with the amount of time she’s been doing this paying for Canva Pro, Courses she bought, Erank Subscriptions, etc. over two years. Her profit that she made after the Etsy ads probably don’t even cover what she’s had to Invest overall. She says “probably” 7,000 dollars bc she’s not actually managing her cash in cash out numbers.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Месяц назад +14

      She did say that in 2023 she didn't make very much profit because she was running too many Etsy ads and they were eating into her budget but in 2024 she has made significant changes to how she runs her ads and her business and has absolutely made profit in her business even after all of those expenses mentioned.
      The reason she didn't have the exact numbers for the past few weeks is that she hadn't completed her income/expense report for November yet because it's a busy time of year fulfilling orders and such but totally understand the skepticism but it really is possible to make money with Etsy/Pod

I recommend starting with a smaller budget like $5-$10 per day to start and learning how to get those ads to be profitable before scaling up to more money per day on ads

Then use the filter buttons Everbee has to filter to see all results instead of just that page at the top. Then use the filter buttons to search for smaller thing like listings that are only 3 months old for example and then sort by which ones have sold the most! Hope that helps
