I have seen so many comments over the years about how to get more women involved in high end audio. Well, first of all we have to recognize that while high end audio is male dominated, even amongst men the hobby is a niche that not many men as a percentage of the population actually pursue. Those who do were exposed to the hobby and took an interest which built from there. Getting women involved is no different except there are even fewer women as a percentage of the population who are likely to take an interest. The process for trying to get women or anyone else involved is simple though. Show them the hobby exists. Show them other women who are involved as Jay is doing here. And show them that the hobby is viable at all different price points and that if you can't afford Wilson's or don't want to spend that much then their interest is still viable and the sonic results can still be amazing. Too many offer criticism disguised as being helpful. Too many pretend that you must spend a certain amount of money or else there is no way you can have good sound. And too many think there is a way you can target women, younger people or minorities to draw them into this or any other hobby. Folks, these people are not waiting for an invitation or your permission to join in. Most people, including white males, have no idea there is anything beyond the Bose, Polk or Klipsch they see at Best Buy. It's all about exposure and encouraging those who want to take it farther than a subwoofer and a sound bar. Good on you Jay for showcasing this lady and her passion for audio. Hopefully this will be seen by some ladies who ether didn't know high end audio existed or were on the fence about getting involved if they did and this gives them a little push.
Women don't enjoy music any less than men (perhaps more, depending on the music). But, as we know, few of them are into the gear. You won't find many women on any of the audio forums. It's almost exclusively a male bailiwick. Sharon is a rare exception, and it's refreshing to see.
The more women get into the hi-fi hobby the better! I believe they can help to advance high end audio to the masses that are uninformed. This woman is awesome! This is from a 64 year old O.G Black man and music lover. Hi-fi enthusiast unite!

I have D'Agostino with my Wilsons and I have no issues with them but I do like the Wilson-Boulder combination. The Boulders are very clean looking and sound even more so.
Jay thank for this video, kudos to Sharon. I called my three girls and showed them the video, because they were under the impression that women are not interested in high end audio. I was saddened that there will be no women audiophile to carry on our legacy, hoping one of my kids will become an audiophile after watching this video. Thank you, keep making more of these videos with women audiophiles, so I could inspire my girls, and get them off their iPads and headphones.
Wow, this is literally a copy of my system! I have the Alexia 2 and a 508 phono, but everything else is the same. Even the turntable. Electronic and cables. Exact. Amazing system. Congrats

Great Great Room. I love how the LPs are showcased. I have a nice setup but I like this even more. Great matching of the electronics to the Wilsons. A system to envy for certain.
The thing is, a display rack with a lean like that will eventually induce warpage, that's why most storage solutions keep the titles completely vertical.
Take note man this woman knows how to display a stereo system. Clean precise. I wouldn't be afraid to sit on her couch. You know it's going to be clean.
My wife is a big-time audiophile. She is big into tube types, SET amps, horns, and dynamic speakers. We live down the street from Wilson Audio, so come visit, Jay. :)

Sharon, thank you for sharing your system. Next time Jay, let her speak, LOL. I see you went from the SF signature sound to the analytical sound of the Wilson/Transparent/DCS/Boulder. Good move from the Simaudio IMHO. I went from the analytical sound to the SF sound with Franco Serblin Ktema and Accuphase. My second system is tubes. With this said, with the genre I like to listen to I need that clean analytical sound so I get this from my HP amp setup. Again, love the setup and I look forward to learning from you.

My 12 year old daughter loves music and often comes down to my music room with a list of songs that she thinks will sound good through my Wilson sahsa 2's. She wants my listening room when i die.

I have to congratulate audiophiles for searching out the best equipment on the market that pleases them that they can afford. Whatever it is they are looking for I really hope the find it and one day say, AHA, now I've got it and I'm happy. All that's left to do is enjoy it. But for many the journey goes on. Jay seeks out the best the market has to offer I think regardless of price and he is fortunate enough to be able to afford it. Congratulations Jay, I enjoy following your journey. Unfortunately for me the industry never produced what I was looking for. Nothing they offered made me happy. I haven't been following it these last 49 years but on some occasions I do hear some of it and it still wouldn't make me happy. But that's just me. So what did I do? I had to figure it out and invent it for myself. It's been a wild journey that has taken me where no audiophile has gone before... or since. So with a system breakdown last week I had to take much of it apart again and what a job it is. EEAS is fixed, less than an hour ago. Now I can go back to enjoying it again. I've got what I wanted and I hope all of you find what you want and are as satisfied as I am.
