I'm the owner / driver of that 1320. The car has run 11.89 on the factory Nexen 275/40R20 drag radials, but they're simply not as consistent with those short sidewalls so I don't run 'em on the track anymore. My car's full weight with full interior: I went to MIR the next day and it scaled 4420 w/ my 215 lbs in the driver's seat. Suppose I can yank the passenger & rear seats and throw in a lightweight battery to drop another 100+ lbs before April 14th. I've got a fresh set of ET Street Rs that could replace my 2-year old ET Street S/S. Oh, I cut a .025 light on that pass against the Mustang, FWIW. It was fun, regardless :)

And last but not least you have a full drag pack wheel setup vs rubber bands and your still proud of that? 2/10ths of a second is hardly something to write home about and the coyote still had the mph. Now with all that being said I'm not a fan of the new mustang but facts are the 1320 had a tire and the mustang didn't so there's your 2/10 right there and obviously it had more mph so it's game over once the mustang has a tire.
@@TTyote it really doesn't matter either way the hemi engine dominates the 1/4 mile just like it has since the 392 came out in the 50s. Now we have Tony Stewart and Chrysler in top fuel. The Schumacher racing team has always run mopar too. Fords not even in the same zop code. Face it.

@@TheShortShortss suspension, converter and trans brake. Given they come with sticky tires to make those changes really work well it's a legit 11 second machine out of the box.

@@Blu_Ice_392 FBO 🤣 all that means for a 10 speed is longtubes and an intake....and i dont even mean the manifold.....you can literally drop in and tune e85 no need to upgrade fuel system on a gen 3 coyote it has 16 injectors out of the box so "FBO" is a mute point. The real problem is a stock hellcat dynos about 560ish whp for its claimed "707 crank hp" and a gen 3 10 speed with e85/intake/headers will dyno just about 500wheel.....sorry but with a gearing advantage AND about 700lbs lighter a 60hp advantage is going to cut it, especially when a coyote turns higher rpms because its not a pushrod like every other american v8. Its basic math. I didnt believe it either when i first saw an na 5.0 smash a hellcat with a blower🤣 crunch the numbers and look at multiple dyno pulls it makes more sense
@@White_Fox_5.0 a hellcat does not dyno 560...if we're talking numbers how does a 460 hp car get within 60 hp of a 700+ hp car with bolt ons/e85 and a tune, won't happen...compare the 60-130 times of a full weight 5.0 to those times on a hellcat, I've done this time after time, 5.0s are fast but they ain't running off on a hellcat with some headers and an e85 tune 😂😂😂

I’d look for a awd pursuit charger and swap the awd into the R/T. Also, fiberglass doors, trunk and hood would probably help out too. And a wrap to keep it all stealth

This is not a stock vs stock comparison. The Mustang has rotational weight reduction with the lighter rims and tires, and a few minor mods. This same Mustang ran mid 12’s when it was bone stock. Come on guys 😁

That Stang is modern-day tech straight from Ford and still lost to a Challenger that came out in 2019. Upgraded exhaust will add a few horsepower as well. Should be 0 excuses.
I think we can both agree that those M/T on that scat shaved off 4/10th off his time. I had a 92’ fox LX that run 9.0’s in the 8th. I bought the nitro drag radials when they first came out and ran consistent 8.50’s. Just a drag radial shaved a half second off my e.t.

My fully loaded heavy 19 GT stock ran 12.0 @118.5 so that's about right for exhaust and lighter wheels

Most people who actually daily Challengers aren't complaining about the extra weight. They're by far the most comfortable and actually have enough space for people to fit in the back seat.

If I truly jumped, I would have red-lighted... and y'all can't seem to grasp that concept. You can lose a race on the tree just as easily as you can lose a race to a quicker car.

OK so I think my opinion counts here! I had a 16 scat pack challenger and although the torque in the car was ridiculous for how heavy the car was it never seemed overall balanced! Switched to a 17 gt 5.0 and the handeling and braking was night and day! So glad I went with the mustang!
Except ford build quality is shit. You'll see . The Challenger rides way better. Especially on a long haul. Ford sucks on pretty much everything probably why their going broke again.

Na na na, 1320 IS bone stock with drag radials, it also has a trans brake bone stock, it also has demon springs and the demon drag mode for suspension, demon axles....
It also comes with NHRA 1yr membership...AND the last 2 most important things...
That 1320 was IS WARRANTY at the drag strip NO other car is but a demon, I ordered one the day orders way available...Beat the snot out or it at the track and it's just fine if she blows or the trans go full warranty....
It also...drum roll can be tuned.....
It's a very cool ass car worth imho a lot of money 25yrs from now, less of them by far sold than hellcats...and certainly mustangs......
Most importantly can be tuned.....
24 stand more molded than it is already will be faster.....cause weight and drag but 1320 is still awesome and actually usable huge trunk
