Tim Duncan was the only real G.
Dude cut his salary from $20M to $10M to $5M because he wanted to win and slot players into the cap.
We have to start putting him in the goat debate... Tim Duncan has 5 rings and only lost 1 final but came back next year and beat the team...
I miss Tim. Duncan and Dirk are just different individuals. Winning was the most important thing to them unlike the majority of the nba. That’s why they took huge pay cuts
Lebron
Jordan
Kareem
Russell
Duncan
Shaq
Magic
Bird
Kobe
Chamberlain
I wouldn't consider that a G move.
Well, LeBron wants to buy a team
It's now a reality show.
Lakers have always been a reality show
It all started with the kartrashians. They ruined basketball

😂😂
Lmao JJ really said Bronny earned all this hard work. Bro must also get shagged by Lebron in locker room too
Why shouldn’t he smile
why doesn’t bronny deserve the opportunity he worked himself back to shape after 6 months of no basketball 🏀 and he put himself in this position through his draft combine

make it make sense.....
It doesn't. They will try to hide it behind the "It's just a #55 pick, who cares it didn't affect anyone" But Isaiah Thomas was drafted #60 and look at the run he had? Other guys have gotten drafted at the bottom and became solid NBA players.
The bottom line is this, there were MANY players who deserved that spot a lot more than Bronny. Period. He got the spot because of his dad, end of story.
You are either okay with nepotism, or think it's wrong. It's really quite simple.

The way the media focuses on Bronny, it’s almost impossible for him to flourish. He’s still a kid who can’t drink legally
This is what's wrong with current sports news on TV. NOBODY cares about this. Putting this much time and energy into stories like this is absolutely ridiculous.
Part of the onboarding process will be for Dlo, Knecht and Reeves to carry his luggage around and to buy him dinners. He will also earn a spot in the starting lineup after about 2 games into the season.
Fr
Why is this a segment?? 😭
Jj : “we view bronny as case study one “
That says a lot coming from a rookie head coach who basically hasn’t even coached yet
The disrespect to the first round number 1 pick is highly disrespectful
Bronny is the Caitlin Clarke for all 55th picks in the future!
The part that's strange is they say nepotism happens everywhere and we understand that. We just wish they would stop fighting the obvious. They have intentionally since Bronny was in high school gave him more coverage than any player more deserving. They don't even talk about this year's #1 pick and it doesn't matter if the draft was weak that is still a story within its own.
If he earned this through hard work, every college player should be playing in the NBA.
Talking about hardwork, Mac McClung is waving 😭
He was a beast in college curious to see how he does
ESPN: Lakers, LeBron, Lakers, LeBron, Lakers, LeBron, Lakers, LeBron, Lakers, LeBron
You are on point all truth and facts.
whats next for bronny is he can just focus on basketball! learn the game, play good defense and make plays in summer league and get on the grind. thats it! subscribe today!
JJ with the "he earned this with hard work". yeah those 4.8 points per game in high school. what a dud
Good Luck to the new lakers fella ... ❤

That 17th pick is wondering why am I on stage with a 55th pick.
Bontemps is a deep hater, I’d be shocked if he’s married with all that hate in his heart
Lol, they say Lakers have been bad for a long time but they were just in the WCF a year ago. Had a bunch of supporting help injuries and made the playoffs again this year. The only team that had their number was Denver who has gotten worse in back to back years. A better coach(not saying JJ will be but who knows) and health to our cast and we could have taken that series and OKC, Dallas nor Twolves would have worried me. Yes they need more shooting but to see this hater say it like they failed to make the playoffs the last 5 years is crazy. I wanted Klay, but there is no way possible Dallas is making it again. OKC is nice so they will be better and Twolves issue will always be Rudy, he can be played off the floor and Kat does not want to guard in the paint
Facts ! Listen to him talk the lakers are the worst team in the league! A bigtime laker hater! He must be a Celtics & 76er fan boy! Talking like the lakers are the Wizards !
Apparently bontempts is from California so he's probably a Kings fan or GSW fan. That's why he hates us lol
I hope he takes off. It’ll make for a great story.
“Might not deserve an opportunity”?! 😂 Pippen and Lofton jr are two players who “work’d” to get where they are. No media boost, just work. They were correctly slotted during the incoming process and is maximizing their potential. They should be key contributors on a team for many years.
ESPN is bleeding this Bronny stuff hard. He has not earned this spot, given. Bronny said USC didn’t give him opportunities…boy 😅
Bronny and Knecht are great additions for the Lakers.
Why this media making a fuss about bronny being 55th pick, why don't you media talk about the no. 1 pick, because bronny has a lot of viewer and good for viewer instead of talking about the no. 1 pick, come on guys, you have to do better, instead of talking about bronny
To me, as long as he is a good player when he plays NBA, if not, then we can judge
Klay is supposed to be a difference maker. If he doesn't think he could help the Lakers make another step, the Warriors knew what they were doing and he's done.
There’s a difference between putting your kids in a position to win and literally handing them opportunities they didn’t earn. We all know what this is don’t dress it up & act like he earned this through hard work and skill.
For some reason they said lakers are no where near Denver, They just lost KCP and sure there's no movement yet, but their downright trajectory has started since last season they lost the bench and it bite them in the end, because the starting 5 has to cover a lot of minutes more than before and injuries happen. Denver as currently constructed can't be considered as a fav to win the west and yet, Vegas said they are the fav even when the Thunder gets better, Mavs add Klay and Denver losing KCP and not adding bench. More move need to be seen before casting any judgement, people.
The fans is what brings in the revenue. They have a big say so. Fans have the right to be upset.
Can we talk about the awesome offseason the Thunder had?
Rich Paul deserves a lot of credit for this. They have been preparing this for some time. Bronny going to be ready before people think.
Bronny can become a 3 and d player if he works hard for on it, he is not going to be an explosive player like SGA or Ja Morant
Bronnu deserves an all-star spot.
What I don't really understand is the "developing" of Bronny, he is 6'2 and shoots under 30% from the 3, averages 4ppg, what is to develop there?
JJ Redick didn’t lie tho…Bronny works extremely hard on his game n has great work ethic which many admire. Unfortunately it hasn’t translated on the court yet.
I would do it for my son too but would’ve kept Ham as well

This is a reason why I’m getting over espn. They get paid to say positive things about the situation. He never worked hard for anything , everything was given to him nothing was earned. He’s not going to have that drive to get better because he’s use to things given to him

First guy was SPOT ON!!!!
I’m not trying to go out on a limb or anything, but I’d assume to play !
How many second round picks #55 overall get a fully guaranteed 4 year 8 million dollar deal? I like how they don’t bring that up because that would completely show the favoritism he is getting. You can tell by the kids response he knows he isn’t ready to play that’s why JJ had to correct him when the kid said jj and Rob gave him a spot. The kid even said that
They need to stop Who was the last 2nd round pick that had so much press? 😂
