This is the best wrapping technique I have seen today, out of the five videos I have watched on this subject! I injure my toes OFTEN!! I hate to spend the money, but I might as well, because common sense tells me I will need these items more than once.

Ayy, I just absolutely demolished my 5th toe last night doing the same - jui jitsu training. Have some sessions coming up I didn't want to miss, certainly going to be performing this foot wrapping 🙏👍
@@gromulus4918 I just fractured my pinky toe doing jiu jitsu this past Saturday & I have a tournament July 20th. Did this wrap technique help you guys? What is your opinion on competing given it will only be 1 week since injury?

Your wrapping is totally better than my podiatrist's. My broken 5th toe was buddy taped to the 4th toe. No boot or orthopedic shoe was given to me to wear or instructions how to take care of it. That's all!
I was walking around with a broken 5th toe since October 10th. It was just diagnosed on November 7th. 6 weeks - walking on a broken toe!
I always wear flip-flops, slippers, or fancy low shoes(slip-ons or with ankle straps) because I live in tropical weather year round. I don't know what to wear or how to take care of it.
Advice, please?

Thanks for this video. I got my broken little toe buddy strapped to the 4th one but using clear tape. I didnt get the base of my toes wrapped at all. I didn't get the co-band either. The advantage was that the swelling was reduced easily by elevating my foot. The disadvantage was that my little toe would flex with the 4th toe and would move up and down if I walked on uneven surfaces, causing discomfort. I'm going to show my doctor this video.
I tried this method and it is snug. In Trinidad, I couldn't find medi or coban tape, so I used 1st Aid sport Cohesive tape and Johnson &Johnson self adhesive sports wrap.

Thank you so much for this video! The urgent care I visited did nothing like this, and pretty sure what they did do could be considered malpractice🤦🏻♀️. I have been really struggling with walking in the boot and keeping my 5th toe stabilized because all they used was clear tape. Today I had to drive for 2 hrs and was in tears by the time I got out of the car (it’s my right foot). Worried because I’m traveling over seas next weekend and felt like I needed more support and stability than just the clear tape. I just purchased everything you listed on Amazon.
I know this comment is really old, but how did you get it to heal? I’ve been dealing with a broken baby toe for 5 weeks that’s just not healing. I’ve considered going to urgent care but am afraid they’ll just tell me there’s nothing they can do, and I’ll end up with a huge urgent care bill.
Thank you. I broke my to a week ago, and just went in to the hospital here in Thailand today. Less than $50 for registration, nursing fees, doctor fees, X-Ray and medication.
I’m pretty sure I broke my toe last night or two nights ago and this video has really helped me. Thank you.

The emergency room put an aluminum cushioned splint on the 4th toe and wrapped a little tape once around the 5 and 4th. Sloppy and ineffective! Thank you so very much!! N

Thank you for this. About a week into a broken pinky toe. I have been doing this and it's good to know I'm doing it correctly. Aside from getting a boot, could you recommend an insert for a shoe or sandal once I resume walking?
Question, it’s been about a week since I broke mine, walking without a boot isn’t as painful but still feel some annoying pain but nothing serious. If I were to wrap it this way and maybe a sleeve over it, would returning to bjj be safer and okay to do?

should the toe wrap be tight? Mine is still bruising after eight weeks.
What if it hurts to even touch or tape the toe. Mine was getting better and when the doc had me put a steel plate in my loose slipper, and I walked on it for a bit, it got worse again. I went to take the tape off and I felt a sharp pain in the part of the toe that broke. Now what?? It was getting better for 14 days with walking on it and now it seems worse like I maybe cracked it a tiny bit in the middle

I tried this but I was in so much pain when I walked, I can’t afford seeing a doctor atm 😢
