I broke the joint bone in my big toe and all the podiatrist are booked for months out. Ive gotta work so i have a piece of metal lined with foam and wrapped to my toe. In 4 days i can now walk flat footed. Working on getting it into a shoe soon

Oh my gosh thank you. The dryer sheet worked perfectly for me. I’m an avid runner who has accessory navicular syndrome. My newest set of orthotics were so squeaky and the dryer sheet fixed it perfectly! I was dreading my next 10 mile group run; now I’m not worried about being incredibly annoying to the other runners!!

Question, it’s been about a week since I broke mine, walking without a boot isn’t as painful but still feel some annoying pain but nothing serious. If I were to wrap it this way and maybe a sleeve over it, would returning to bjj be safer and okay to do?

iv gone 32 years without treatment for moderately severe curly toe, mostly on my right foot. I have zero side effects (no toe bunions or chafing) I used to run around bare foot as a kid and get asked about my toes on occasion. Yeah it looked strange but have never had any issues at all. SEE YOUR DOCTOR, before getting ridiculous treatment

How long can you leave this on? Do you have to change it every time you shower/it gets wet?

If I tape my curly 4th toe to the little one, it pulls that one in with it. So taping really doesn't work, the two taped toes curl under the third one. Same with seperators, the toe keeps curling. Is there no way to surgically fix this, like a tenotomy?

Would you recommend doing the V-wrap part the same if the break is on the other side or down the middle of the big toe?

The emergency room put an aluminum cushioned splint on the 4th toe and wrapped a little tape once around the 5 and 4th. Sloppy and ineffective! Thank you so very much!! N
