I am suck at this stage for 3 hours now! i am playing rhe pc version with 360 controller. I am stuck at the boss fight! Most of the time the snowmen drot get desroyed when i hit them! Until now i have lost 8 lifes and now i have to do the stage from the beginigng!!
I have no problem with this stage, though the last Red Ring is my least favorite in the game, since they point a checkpoint right after the pool table, so if you fuck up, well you're going back to the start just to have another shot
While overall I think this game is a huge letdown, and this level just seems like a bad idea to begin with, I have to say that this game has one of the best Sonic soundtracks of all time. It's so good, and most of the songs have the same timeless appeal that many classic songs do. It's great stuff.
Well, Zavok is a terrific villain. The other Zeti however are pretty one-dimensional and generic. We have the crazy one, the one obsessed with beauty (who's of course the girl), the fat one who likes food.. why not mix up the stereotypes? Why couldn't Zomom have been a fat, ugly girl who was obsessed with beauty, despite her.. well, ugliness? Why couldn't Zeena be obsessed with fighting despite her daintiness? Maybe Zazz would have always been hungry, despite how thin he was? Stuff like that would have made the villains actually be interesting.
uhm sorry i have to disagree with you... although i like some tracks from this game, most of them aren't nearly as good as previous sonic games and some of them just sounds too mario-ish :/
2:50 I don’t know who designed this part of the stage but wtf were they thinking ? And remember this game was also for KIDS who the hell thought that would be fun to add a zone where sonic become a giant snowball with horrible control and where a single wrong input lead you to death
Half the time I hit that second yeti with the spin dash it bumped me off to the side, is there a particular trick for that? Based on videos I've seen I thought Zeena would be super-hard but to me she was the second easiest part next to the pinball tables.
I've seen a shitload of both hate and praise for this game. I don't think either is really due. It's not the greatest game, but it's not Sonic 2006. I think I'll put in my category of "okay but everyone will forget it" Sonic games.
I disagree with the "everyone will forget it" part. This game it is very polemic due to its similarities to Super Mario Galaxy, so I doubt it will be forgotten...fast.
Maybe it's the fact that I haven't experienced the game first hand yet, but could someone explain to me why this stage is so terrible, aside from the red rings? It just looks like your usual Marble Madness inspired rolling ball level, similar to the Rolling Greens stages from Mario Galaxy minus the Wiimote. Not really Sonic gameplay, but doesn't look terrible by any means. Is there some control or gameplay issue that's just not getting across through video?
Maybe it's because of the lack of speed, and that it's sort of inconsistent with the rest of the game. I actually really liked the music and concept, but it took me lots of game overs to get through it the first time. It was the first level that actually managed to frustrate me.
The snowball is controlled with the analog stick, jump button, and spin dash button. But it doesn't really control as well as a game like super monkey ball. The snowball moves reeeally slow, and the only way to get it to build momentum is to spin dash, which is pretty dangerous. It's not very well thought out and it's more frustrating than anything. Every video online showed me how it can be played well, but playing it for the first time yourself is pretty grating.
Is there a strategy with this level? For the part where there are the two big birds, do I charge up and then attack and press a button to stay steady, or is it a matter of the timing? Cause then they'll knock you off the stage and you're most vulnerable when you've aimed in the wrong direction. I get shaky at the bird parts and with the win blowing ones.
Bruh, someone at SEGA did it Idk who, you kinda wanna look up the SLW article on Sonic News Network to see who did the English dialogue. You'll have the response.

I think the fact that he was in a giant snowball takes away all seriousness this fight might have had
It doesn't help when your enemy hides inside snowmen.
*Gotta go, call me*
What in the hell were they thinking when they did the voice over for the lines.
Same. It's some of the worst writing I've ever heard as far as video games go.
Zeena said that
Who Knows
the level is only a pain when it's getting the red rings, though that's just me :P
this is the bane of my existence.
chzelife YOUR EXISTENCE WILL NOW END!!!!!!
Thanks for ur help
I finally beat this level!!!
S-Ranking this and Silent Forest Zone 2 gave me actual nightmares.

Beautiful stage.
The little satellite thing player 2 can use?
But isn`t that wondering how sonic can see whe`res he`s going when he`s spinning normally?
Wha about single player
@@peggyholmes7405 Why do you ask ME that?!
0:26 Pyopyo rarepon: wait why is there a snowball moving on its own
Buhyoki rarepon: oh yeah sonic is in there
Pyopyo rarepon: WAIT SONIC!?
This is Sonic Team looking at videos of Mario on the ball in Galaxy.

Half the time i jump into the snowman and it doesn't go
If you think this is as bad as Sonic can get with a snowball you should try the 3DS version xD
Ugh the special stages....
and the stage with the snowman head that followed you everywhere
the water and snow wolrd in the 3ds version is hell
There’s abomasnow’s everywhere

The music reminds me of the 2005 Pac-Man Arrangement game.

Looks like fun to me. Am I part of the problem?
Liking this game isn't a problem.

Also, I may be mistaken, but I think the only way to actually MOVE the snowball is to spin dash.
Joe Ryan That is incorrect. All you have to do is move the control stick (and optionally, the run button).
