  • This video will cover the assembly and testnet setup of the WXM WS2000 Helium compatible weather station. This is the latest weather station that WeatherXM released and it uses the Helium's LoRaWAN network to transmit the weather information back to WeatherXM. Unlike the M5 model, this does not need a WiFi network so you can install it anywhere.
The weather station itself comes pre-assembled, you simply need to install the battery, adjust the solar panel and install the rain collector. You will need to provide a pole that is at least 6.5 ft. long for a more accurate data collection.
Make sure to leave a comment below if you have your own weather station or are planning on putting one up and let us know what city your station is located. Also, please help my channel grow by clicking on the subscribe button.

Thank you for sharing this video. It was kind of hard to find instructions to mount all parts of this specific model. My "like" button for you as well.

The trouble with most of these stations is that the sun's uv rays destroy the plastic over time..

agree. hopefully they have thought of this and and used material that can last or offer users deals when they reach a # of years owning the stations so we can replace it and continue to have good data.

I wonder how well it will survive outdoors 24/7

That is a good question. Well see how long it will last. So far it is still working well.

I'd be worried how stable helium is. I got a ws2000 ambient Weather device...its nice.

That is my concern also, If Helium goes the weather station will be useless. But so far I like the information I am getting from my device as compared to weather.com.

Did you purchased the device from a third party? You will need to open a ticket with WeatherXM and hope that they can transfer that station to you.

How long is the cable from the backup batteries?

    • @diymanual

I believe it is only about 8 ft. I wish they made it longer so I can mount the battery under the eves so it doesn't get wet.
