Ah, the old goofball Mayer Hawthorn. I actually preferred the contrast between his mesh of nerd style through the ages and that unforgettably smooth voice. He made the sun come out for a brief 45 minutes on one fateful, stormy day in Kildare, Ireland way back in 2010. Not many people knew who he was in our little nation, but the 100 or so who did packed to the front of the stage. Absolute gent too.
Rarely i like a cover better than the OG. This is definately one of those cases. This was a first listen favourite. Today my love broken heart was healed, with skating under the sun and listening to this! I wasnt skating i was flowing. This whole album is sublime.

I can’t wait to actually be apart of that feeling. I haven’t felt like that since I’ve lost that purity side of me..
