Jermaine is the most chill person you can meet, I went with a buddy to get his Supra tuned by him, and he was very thorough with his work. He's a great tuner and an even nicer person.
He got to feel the honda effect "this shit bucket is good for nothing", tunes it, drives it "she aint that bad" :D
So you shouldn't shove 100 shot of Nitrous in a 4cyl stock turbo car? NOTED!

That civic build is all i want to just beat on haha. Im currently turbocharging my 2008 TC. Going for about 280-300whp. Gonna be fun to gap cars that i should have no business racing haha.

In Rallying the fuel lines have to be braided steel lines that only run inside the car and not underneath so it can't get bust open being pinched in a crash being under the car 👌🤙💯

That’s impressive power from that “sh*tbucket” for sure, especially for such a lightweight vehicle with the sound deadening paint smashed up into pieces.
This looks like a solid race bc we can’t discredit the DSG tranny. The GLI also had some weight removed, some slicks added, and I have a feeling they will be pushing a lot of torque. All the EURO spec team needs to do, is time their launch correctly, and manage to out all that power to the ground.
Meanwwhile Ben 2x needs to also get their shifting on point. Very excited to see the conclusion!!

Only when doing stock builds. But b series are getting more expensive now. When this LS blows up doing a k swap would be cheaper than finding a vtec b series long block
@@Jamxknife can go h series as well its cheap and puts down the same numbers as a k series only bad thing bout em is the frm sleeves but just sleeve the block and throw some nice forged pistons in there and be gtg
@@Jamxknife it really comes down to the tuning and you can build a h series for far less than a k series and out perform them they make great hp and torque just like the k series the h is underapreciated

i once lost the pin to my civic heading home lol i used a thin screw driver and some rubber bands to hold it in place until i got home to fit a bolt in it
When you B swap a 88-91 Civic, you are supposed to hammer in the frame rail on the driver side to make clearance for the alternator pulley. The guy that swapped the motor obviously didn’t do that.

When mounting a battery inside the cabin, you should vent the battery to the outside of the car.
This is usually done with a hose connecting to the valve on top of the battery, that is then run out through the floor.
When lead acid batteries see lots of current, they start to release gases that you don't want to be breathing in.

EF & CRX both have fuel lines & brake lines that run through the inside of the car from factory, great idea actually, they wont rust that way which is very common on later model Honda's and can be very dangerous
Given amount of rust, that Gen3 Hatch is a rare fine. I could see the road when I looked down in my old 85CRX.

I know tunes help with performance but that guy helped a lot with reliability to never been to a dyno but that guy seems like a great tuner and guy

I am really loving this series you guys are doing with Charles (Humble Mechanic). And HUGE shout out to Turbo XS!! I love Jermaine! He tuned my GD7 STI MAAAAAAANY moons ago. It was a ROCK solid tune, but eventually had to sell the car (Life happened - Marriage, babies, house, stress). The car was rock solid till the day I sold it. Jermaine is a dying breed of tuners in MD, thorough, precise, knows HIS S**T to the T! I should stop in and say hi to him sometime though I wonder if he still remembers me. And curious, that area is FULL of speed cameras and cops, how did you go up and down that road and not get caught? LOL! I got a ticket after I stopped in for a tune, and then eagerly tested it out. Though, Jermaine and some of the guys from Andrewtech that were there did warn me "Dude, be careful, cops and cameras everywhere!"
Really loved this episode! Brought back a lot of memories from TurboXS and Jermaine. Really loving the build! I'm now a subscriber to your channel. And really cool and good sportsmanship letting Charles get an S4 and resetting his budget to fix his tranny. Top notch character.
