I wouldn't be surprised if they deliberately prevented export of health tracking data so that reviewers like Rob (who am I kidding, he's one of a kind, period) or even adventurous users are unable to easily determine how terrible the watch truly is.
Rob's job today, is just keeping the industry honest... Yet another fitness tracking device showing shockingly bad results...seems to be the norm today. Rob is one of the VERY FEW doing this level of testing, so it's becoming clear that most manufacturers feel they can totally fool their customers..." who's going to notice". For the CMF watch one, my watch would measure a humanistic heart rate when placed on a wooden table. Also measured sleep cycles. Amazing huh .. makes me wonder how accurate it was when it was attached to my wrist. So I suspected that the watch was running some simulator.
Yes it's not accurate , and my watch constantly lit up during midnight even though I already turned on DND and turned off any setting that will light up the screen on my deep sleep. Thrown into the cupboard after a month of usage and never went back for Watch 2
The Quantified Scientist once again turned into the Guessing Scientist by CMF. LoL. I returned this after a week. I don't think the steps are even correct.
I think we saw what happened. Give it to colleague so he no longer waste anymore time and colleague puts it in the bin. Rob really knows when to fold em.

If suddenly all influencers of some niche collectively promote something, it's probably shit. Companies with good products don't have a reason to push that kind of marketing wave.

They have an active reddit thread with founders and aupport staff addressing all issues. But problem is that reddit is anonymous so whoever provides theor feedback has no credibility. If The Quantified Scientist tests it. It would be a reliable source.
The Flowtime Brain Tag would be interesting to see in the sleep items. Claims to be a tiny EEG sleep tacker that goes behind your ear but it is a crowdfunded project so you always need to take that with a bucket of salt
With such a design of a watch with a round bezel for such a price and even higher you will not find, these figures do not particularly bother me. I bought it and I'm happy.

pre-ordered mine, got it on the first day. used it for one week, maybe 10 days. got sensor/laser burns during the night twice and a nasty irritation burn from the silicone band that made me return the watch for a refund. I only wore the watch during the night and morning workout, no watch during the workday, during the weekend I did wear it all day. both the tracking for indoor cycling and weight training, was half assed at best, step counting was at least half of what my iPhone reported, one day I did a 11Km walk, the watch counted 4Km. when I was driving the watch constantly asked me if I wanted to start my cycling workout (driving 120kph on the highway, that's also my top speed cycling uphill :) ). i liked the design and how it looked on the wrist, but performance wise, not great! can't recommend.
Do you have any background info on who manufacture the HR monitor sensor modules? Surely there’s few companies who develop them & sell the sensors & software to all these cheap smartwatch companies. I’d assume only big players like Apple/polar/farming have their in house sensors no?

What happened to the watches that were able to even view documents and just do more generally
I had the CMF Watch 1 Pro, and it was a major disappointment. Critical issues, like the screen staying on during a timer and the inability to leave the screen without stopping the timer, were never mentioned in major reviews. Worse, the touch sensitivity remains active, so you can easily stop or reset the timer by accident.The call quality is poor, the microphone is weak, there's no multitasking, and the widgets are neither customizable nor well-arranged. The calculator is frustrating to use due to small icons and an unresponsive screen. Additionally, you can only save 20 favorite contacts, and if the phone number isn’t formatted exactly as the carrier processes it, the watch won’t recognize it.Switching to the Galaxy Fit 3 was the best decision I made. It’s fast, efficient, and doesn’t have these major flaws, even though it lacks some features like Samsung Pay and contact syncing. Honestly, I won’t be buying another CMF product.

the table thing could also apply to apple watch. the way the sensors gather the data doesnt allow them to differentiate living and non-living.

Its still the best smartwatch for its price under $50 and the competition is not even close. Pls avoid testing products in a vacuum.
