737-200 FULL FLIGHT Engine View | Venezolana Caracas to Porlamar

Join us for the full 30-minute flight (plus taxi on either ends) from Caracas (CCS) to Porlamar (PMV) on beautiful Margarita Island in Venezuela. We're flying with Venezolana on one of the oldest commercial airplanes in the world, YV3471 first delivered in 1978! This one gives you the view forward of the wing, and plenty of amazing whine from the classic JT8D jet engines. We'll also have the return leg coming soon from the last row of the aircraft, for a great view of those unique thrust reversers!

Best part of 737 is the landing,many flights those reverse buckets would open abruptly and lurch everyone on board forward. Scary taking off on a fully loaded plane, even with 3 slotted flaps ,plane would labor-struggle to gain altitude.

The reverse thrust mechanism produced very little breaking on the 200. What you felt was the pilot flying stamping on the brakes.

I wouldn't fly on a 200 unless I'd had assurances thst all it's known design issues had been attended to - both with its airframe and engines. There's very few left in service for good reason!
