I really like the direction they are taking with the new Kill Teams. The previous edition followed the same template for each faction - everyone had a sniper, melee expert, heavy weapon dude, medic, etc. It all felt a bit samey - great to see GW leaning into the unique flavour of each faction a bit more.
Now that I'm going to have rattlings combined with some other kill teams (inquisition agents, vet guard, kasrkin, tempestus aquilons, and soon some bullgryns) I'm basically going to have a small guard army. I don't have plans on playing them in 40k, but still kind of fun.
@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames I bought a cheap set of Necromunda Servitor Ogryns and kit bashed some makeshift "shields" and mauls. I figured the Imperium wouldn't waste valuable resources to kit out these abhumans anyway. It actually worked out well lol!
Will end up with this team due to getting the other team for someone as a gift. Initially dismissed then but they are growing on me. Not keen on having to pickup ogryn/bullgryns. I have 3 e champs from my votann army that could make a decent proxy for club + shield... Thoughts?
The lack of ogryn is sad however i have two from Darktide ( i was missing a psyker in my original copy of that boxset so gw just sent me an entire new copy of darktide!). So im covered for ogryns. I might actually buy this set.
You need to start a videograph'd journey testing out Kill Team apps. You want all the cards & I get that. But lead yourself to an app & you'll never need pay for [overpriced+quickly if not immediately out of date] cards again!
Great review, one of my go to reviewers! So if I pay 100 euros for brutal and cunning, I have to pay another 100 euros roughly for 2 boxes of Ogryns for the roster?
The fact that the best version of the team isn't in the Box is kinda disappointing. The ratlings at 6w are paper.. And volkus is rough for shooting with blocked Los everywhere.. I already found some proxy Bullgryns online at a very reasonable $, but I don't like GW kits that you can't actually build the team. Has a 'feels bad' vibe
I think I’d probably still only get 1-2 Ogryns even when running the full team but I see what you mean! I plan on painting my Ogryn from Darktide to use for this instead of buying a whole box.

He might catch it later in the video, but Scarper is after an enemy activation, not a friendly one
Hm... I might have to consider building a Gretchin team as a Counts-As Ratling team....

nice informative video, but for me it would be more understandable if the datacard-Skills were read out a little slower :).
I was going to buy the boxset and sell the Ratlings....Now I'm conflicted cause they sound hilariously fun 😅
Same, they're basically a straight up port of the bloodbowl Halfling team into 40k and i love it😂
Had no idea that I would need a set of Ogryns for a box that should be designed for those two features armies...or did I mishear that.
You can play without them or include up to 3

This set sold out in seconds in the UK, so I have no hope of getting set here in the states.
@@homerwitham768 I think you’ll probably be able to find one at your local shop
It's still available in the US on the GW site hours after launch... Still available right now
I’m really burned out on the GW business plan.
Same. It’s the reason I don’t play any of their larger games, 40k AoS etc.

@@GuerrillaMiniatureGames 2 Ogryn/Bullgryn plus always silent snipers is quite the deal
How about more stargrave, 5 Parsecs, or Mantic firefight..... kill team Is so boring.
Expensive, rules bloat, too many needless products (card, tokens, books), no list building? Yes.
Boring? Idk about that.
I like Killteam
