Forgot to mention this, and this really appeals to me. The free brickheadz was ok to miss last time, if this is a brickbuilt One Ring though that’s going to be really sought after
The minifigure selection here is superb. Sauron alone is enough to make me buy the set as we’ve all been dying to get him ever since Lego made LOTR sets. Mouth of Sauron is the lieutenant of barad dur, so it makes perfect sense to have him in this set. He may only have been in the extended edition, but he is a part of the books and he’s an important part of Barad Dur. The orcs are much needed minifigs, and I hope they don’t go too crazy with the printing so that they could fit in with the older orcs. Nazgul, Frodo, Sam, and gollum are just bonuses. Overall, while the minifigs may be less than Rivendell’s, the inclusion of Sauron alone makes up for the difference and we get much needed revamps of expensive characters like MoS
Ah see, while this wouldn’t fit the theme of any other LEGO Middle Earth sets, I think I like this idea. It explains some of the figure inclusions and makes for a good representation of scenes that couldn’t be adapted into LEGO otherwise.
I literally bought Rivendell 3 days ago and there are so many sets at the moment including this one that I want D&D and the medieval town square hopefully I can get them all before they go
Day 1 purchase for me. There will be an exclusive GWP. Can't wait for Barad Dur Lego reveal.

I believe that as we've never seen inside the tower, they might do a jurassic park gate type things with famous scenes in the building

I’m in the same boat. Loooove the Dungeons and Dragons set a lot, it’s on my list but maybe something I pick up a few years down the line.
I dont care about the price!
If they make more lego The Lord of the Rings sets, I'm purchasing them!
I complain but I think I'm in the same boat here lol. I have high hopes for what this set will look like.

Me too!
I currently own every Lord of the Rings + Hobbit set! including the new Rivendell! So I intend to complete my collection!
the price though.... =(
Man, 100%. To be released so close to the last one too. I thought the Marvel sets were tough enough on the wallets.
An army builder of orcs, yeah..........4
Lol. Absolutely should be more considering how many figures are included in Rivendell.
Imagine if the GWP came with a few extra orcs. Thay would be awesome.
It looks really ugly and the minifigures don't go with castle themes or anything.
Damn so you must have foresight cuz no one nos what either look like 💀
