I am a huge fan of Alaïa footwear. Totally agree with you - it is super comfortable and the quality is beyond! I almost love that this brand is so under the radar that you can find brand new items from them on resale sites or sale racks in stores at massive discounts (I am talking 90% off at times). I have a few pairs of flats from them but this leather studded pair is the first pair of flats from them that has a rubber sole. I wish they started doing rubber soles years ago - this way their shoes would last even longer. Love the laser cut pair in the sky color - so pretty for spring/summer seasons. Enjoy! xo

I linked the spray I have from Snipes but any suede protector spray should do. Just make sure to hold the can far enough away so the suede doesn’t get soaked. I also got a little rubber suede brush at some shoe store to help clean them. I have worn mine so much are they are actually still in great condition 👌🏻

For me they are a classic because I don’t like to wear high heels so it dresses my outfit up a little without hurting my feet and I like to walk everywhere and these are very comfy 👍🏻

Wondering how much space is between your longest toe and end of the flat? I got mine in 38 im a size USD 8 and there is a modest 1/4 inch at the end. and dont feel comfy right out of the box...so wondering if you had more space?
Mine have a decent amount of space, but not too much that they are big. Maybe you needed the size 39 because I have worn mine so much they are super comfy, even after walking 20K steps on holidays and I am size 9US and got the 40EU

I’m eyeing a pair too, but worrying about super thin soles. Will they not rub to the ground within a month or so?
For ballet flats this is the best sole I’ve seen. The same sole is on my other pair of Alaia shoes and I’ve worn them a ton and they’re fine. I think with the blue ones I’m more worried about the suede.
