i had very bad experience with this company. I couldn’t neither exchange nor return them. Customer service did all tricks possible not to answer-my emails. They hoped that I will miss one month dead line for return. At the end, I had to send 25 emails every day to make them talk to me.
Hi, I am certified as a Sustainability Agile Expert, and worked with the brand too, and I have to admit your concerns are more than justifiied. A lot of companies put in place sustainability measures to greenwash, or to make up for the fact that their entire business model isn't sustainable - some kind of "amend". In this case, I really don't know if the company belongs to a group that has other companies that don't practice sustainability, so I would not know how to make up my mind either. However, speaking about the price, recycling plastic is an expensive process and that alone can inflate the price point. In general, I would say that being a sustainable company is more feasible when the price point is from Vivaia's own and up. Anything less makes me sus about the real sustainability of the company. To this date, I do not doubt Vivaia as a brand. - btw great video, love how you articulate your points, and how comfortable you are with the camera. kudos!
Omg your shoe concerns you outline are identical to mine. Slightly wide, slightly different sizes… So helpful you added this info and the rest of the video is really helpful for making choices too, thank you!
The arch support is most important for me, so thank you for mentioning that factor. I have very thin feet as well so it is hard to find should that are thin and have an arch support.
I own a pair of the black Square-Toe Mary Jane Margot, in a 7.5 W, which are actually machine washable (I have not tried it yet though). I live in the U.S. and had to exchange them once or maybe twice to get the correct fit, and it was no problem whatsoever, very easy to work with. I have had them 2 or 3 years and they look like new. They are pretty comfortable, for flats, although I have a bunion on one foot. I am even considering getting them in a different color.
love this thorough and honest review ❤ it's funny how I received my first pair few days ago- the Mary Jane square toe flats- and just now decided to watch a review 😂 anyways when I opened the box and took out the shoes and inspected the material, I immediately said "wow, I could definitely use this for a long time" and immediately felt that my money's worth has been taken care of. I have yet to rough test them as I will be using it for a vacation trip so I will know by them 😅 we have the same exact feet statistics and I got my shoes in 38 EU just incase and they were PERFECT fit I couldn't even imagine it for other times I have ordered shoes online 😊
Thank you for reviewing Vivaia, I have ordered the same as in the video. My first time with this brand, very excited hahaha. Greetings from Belgium, Europe 😃👍
Thank you for such a thorough and review! I decided not to purchase this brand because of my foot issues I really should try on a shoe before purchasing.
Thank you so much for your thorough and honest review about the shoes AND the company! I've been thinking about buying a pair of flats from this brand for such a long time now, but I'm hesitant because of: a) the high price points; b) my left foot is not exactly the same size as my right foot either 😂; c) shoes that are on sale don't seem to be returnable! and e) I've heard from many customers now about how terrible their customer service is! 😬
I don’t believe they are water resistant, so yes I recommend doing that. They are made more of like thick cloth instead of plastic or leather, so I don’t know how much that would help 🤔
Thank you so much for your unbiased review. I’m usually a European 40 with an average to wide foot - would you recommend staying with the 40 or going down or up half a size? Francesca
Hmm, I think for square toed items you would be fine for your normal size, but recommend half a size up for pointed toe if you have slightly wider feet!
Thank you for your review. In particular the subject of sustainability. I had seen the shoes on #mmpersonalstyling and I’d seen an adverse reaction. So this review has helped me gain perspective. I will share your video there ❤
I have thick toenails and it is impossible for me to wear flats or high heals since they don't have enough space in the toe part or they are not stretchy enough. I have been eyeing this square toe pumps for a while, would you recommend it to someone with thicker toenails like me? Are they stretchy enough (like a sock as they advertise it) for the front area? I desparately need professonal looking shoes for my job but I can't find any shoes. And I cannot just buy them and see because they are quite expensive. I would love to hear your recommendation. Many thanks for the review!
Hmm, I think the pumps are more structured than it looks (personally I thought it would be more stretchy, but wasn't) so I don't think I can fully recommend it. I think the flats have a bit more leeway.
@@Sakurambo Many thanks for the reply. I am 6 for UK size. Do you think I should go for a bigger size (maybe half size up) for my toes to be comfortable? Would the toe part be more roomy?
Same here. Bad experience with this company. Never told you how long it takes to ship, and which country the product will be shipped from. Sent me all kinds of automated messages telling me that I did not respond to their previous messages, while the previous messages were just a tracking number. I live in the US. Stay away from this company.

what country do you live in? I read they just organize free returns for a few countries
Oh I am really sorry to hear that. I haven't had issues but I understand that they were working with me directly. Did it work?
Same. Never again will I use this company.

Thanks for this extra info - I think it's really important to do our best to do our due diligence but it isn't always the easiest. Appreciate it :)
@@Sakurambo I agree, and I think it’s always tough to recognize what to do. We’re just trying our best. Hopefully it’ll have an impact

I have the same problem you have with shoes. Thank you for the advice 😊

Lol I’m definitely on the same too wide for “regular” shoe but still not wide enough for the Wide shoes. Thanks for the review!
Aha welcome to the family 😅 thank you for watching, hope it helped!
Really good and detailed review, I've been considering buying shoes from this brand so thank you!! ^^
glad to hear! Thank you for watching ☺️
My feet is similar to you. The right is a bit bigger. Thank you for your honest thoughts.
Great to hear it was helpful! Thanks for watching ☺️
Thank you for such a thorough and review! I decided not to purchase this brand because of my foot issues I really should try on a shoe before purchasing.
Great review. I have bunions and neuropathy. I love the Margot 2.0. I’m a 7.5 BUT my size is 38 in this brand not the recommended 38.5.
So you wear a half size smaller in that style. I'm thinking about getting them.
Thank you! I also have wider feet so I really appreciate you sharing your experience.
No problem! ☺️
Thank you for sharing this! I have the Aria style and I'm still on the fence as to whether or not they are comfortable. I bought them last year.
What a great review, so informative and detailed covering all aspects! A huge help when deciding whether or not to purchase a pair.

thanks for this review it is hard to shop on line for shoes so thanks for covering all the bases!
Absolutely! Hope it was helpful ☺️
@@Sakurambo yes decided to go with the Margot 2.0 flat fingers crossed!
I just bought 2 Margot and they arrive on Friday and I leave for Asia on Saturday. Will I need any break in time??
Is it water resistant? Kr should I spray them with a water resistant water repellent.
I don’t believe they are water resistant, so yes I recommend doing that. They are made more of like thick cloth instead of plastic or leather, so I don’t know how much that would help 🤔
Are the Madelines too hot after a while?
Great review, thank you! ❤
Loved the review :) I was wondering for the Margot, did you get the standard size or the wide size?
Hahaha 😂 so funny about the Google sending your info to Vivaia , but at least it worked!

Hello,
How tall are you or how long are these boots?
I love your jeans 9:01 what model that is?
Your make up is beautiful!
Thank you :)
After wearing two pairs recently I conclude they make my feet smell ugh I love these but….
Agh I hadn’t thought about that. Have you washed them/see if that helps? I’m the laundry machine
Good to know this information.
By the way, do you usually wear socks while using them?
This is a very dodgy company. Does not exchange... and never returns emails. Will never buy these shoes again.
