I bought shoes from vivaia about a year ago and I also ordered some from rothys to try and compare since they are so similar. In some ways the vivaia shoes were more comfortable (when I took a few steps around my house) but at the end of the day, they were a smidge narrow, a little weird looking to me, and the heel chafed my foot. And they made it SO HARD to return them. It was absurd. I had to write negative posts about them on instagram to get their attention and they kept pressuring me to exchange instead and I said no!
I’ve never tried rothys, but I hear a lot of people talking about them. I think the VIVAIA shoes are great for my weird feet because I have weird ankles and the springing sole gives them support 🙈 The returns thing is not ok though. I hate when companies make it difficult to return things. I had the same thing happen recently with Victoria’s Secret and ended up having to keep a £40 bra that didn’t even fit because the returns process was impossible! I’m still angry about it 😂 I did hear that VIVAIA is implementing an automatic returns system in June, which should make things better. I think all online shops should offer that
Welcome to Mr Toad's Wild Ride! The construction work is annoying, the lighting is annoying, and my unscripted rambling is annoying too. It can only mean one thing - a tangent that nobody asked for! I've been feeling quite burned out lately and it's been a struggle to find the energy to pick up the camera and film. Honestly, just talking all of this through with you has been like a weight off my shoulders and I felt better right after I finished filming. Thank you for being my unofficial therapy session!
Always great to see you! Re: social media, it isn't sustainable to keep up with them all, just pick your top (best) three and forget the others. So glad you got the BBC freelance! I think it will suit you!!
