Thank you Emily- you are a wonderful ambassador for us ladies with problematic feet❤ I have bunions which have caused my second toes (which were already longer than my big toes) to become misshapen. I wear soft gel toe seperators which stay in place and are inexpensive and comfortable. I like the Skechers with the memory foam insoles and knitted stretch uppers which i generally wear with my jeans. Mens trainers are wider and an option for ladies with larger feet, I like Brooks Adrenaline for my long walks. I also have arthritis in my big toes and a small amount in my hips which had given me pain for a while. However, my physio advised that my hip pain was likely being caused by not exercising my median glutes. A very simple daily exercise helped relieve the pain. As you rightly say, joint issues are very individual but good footwear is a must for us all. Thank goodness you are being sensible and addressing this at a young age ! Unlike myself who hobbled about in heels for the sake of fashion 😮 I'm 55 now and far more sensible! One product i love are the soft squidgy gel toe seperators which i wear between my big and second toes. They are available online approximately £4 or 8 Australian dollars each. Love your channel. The rail of dresses look beautiful- hope there is a dress video soon despite it being early Winter in the UK ❤
Hello: I'm from Canada (Calgary, Alberta). Your shoe suggestions were quite helpful. I will have to see if I can find some those brands here in Canada. I have wide feet (but only just slightly wide). I have found some brands that are comfortable for me. 1) VIVAIA Square toe Mary Janes 2)POPPY BARLEY round toe lug sole with velcro strap on the back (they have regular width & wide) extremely comfortable. 3) ON CLOUD sneakers from Australia, I can walk in these all day long. I am 69. These may not be for everyone as everyone has a different level of comfort, but perhaps worth looking into.
Thank you so much for doing this video! I am going through the same thing right now and I am on my feet 10 hrs a day and just went to the foot doctor and found out I have arthritis in both feet and pain shoots across the top of my feet and they ache all the time and I limp around , I also have wide feet and wearing cute shoes for work to go with my outfits are killing my feet ! I need stylish shoes and looking for something that doesn’t make my feet hurt in pain and get worse ! I will definitely try these brands! Loving the Mary Jane’s ! ❤ I have also heard about Ally shoes and wondered if you have tried any of them ? I would love to see more videos from you on this as this video came in perfect timing to me ! Thank you for helping others and sharing your thoughts and suggestions ! Thank you ❤😊
Love this! I have a mix of arch and barefoot shoes. Was feeling mixed about not being fully in one camp 😆😸 but still see the benefits in both - like you!!
Thanks for this video! I have ankle arthritis, big toe and heel pain and plantar fasciitis 😢. It’s been almost impossible to find a shoe that doesn’t hurt my feet. Apart from these ones shown, have you done research on snickers and other boots that could be worn with long skirts?
I am just getting over (I hope!) plantar fasciitis. I’ve had it for almost 2 years, and Birkenstocks give me the most relief. I think the footbed just makes me feel so supported and they give my toes room to spread out. I’ve also started wearing Zero shoes which are a barefoot shoe with a zero drop. I’m hoping these will help strengthen my feet! Thanks for the suggestions 😊
I have two pairs of Vivaia Margot Walkers, ballet flats with squared toe. I love them for everyday and for travel. They walk comfortably for miles. I also have two pairs of their step-in boots. They are incredibly comfortable and water repellent. They are even good for light hiking. Geox and Skechers have great options. I love Allbirds and Cloudsteppers are lovely too.
thanks soooo much for this! i’m looking into the fit kit shoes. Since you are working with them can you please let them know they need more brown styles? 😊 I’m a light spring and black shoes do not really fit into the wardrobes of some with spring and autumn coloring 🙏
Aw I’m not working with them unfortunately. I have purchased these shoes myself ❤️ if I do ever get to work with them I’ll let them know. What kind of brown? Dark or light or both? X
Just commenting to say thanks for adding to the chorus of not making it worse and actually appreciating feet that function. Footlogics orthotics - from Australia! - have a good series of inserts for plantar fasciitis, metatarsalgia and bunions.
Great video. I like SAS shoes for comfort- and their sandals are nice. I recently bought a pair of Naturalizer Mary Jane’s in red, but I’ve been thinking about silver ones. They come in wide, and I was actually surprised to discover how comfortable they are. Also, weirdly perhaps, I find Dansko clogs to be extremely comfortable.
I really like your shoe videos! I like your style anf it's really inspiering watching how you style your shoes. I really love the brand barrel footwear by watching through their homepage, however, I am not sure, if it makes sense to order shoes from Australia beeing at home in Europe, Austria... I am a bit struggeling about this fact... what do you think? What kind of shoes would you suggest in autumn and winter? Ballet flats do not work with socks, so there remian only boots... what is a bit annoing for all the colder season. Have you any other idea?
It tried on 8 pairs of Bared Footwear shoes and the Mary Jane's were the best comfort wise. I thought the other shoes weren't that great to be honest. I have wide feet too. I'm now looking into a Danish brand called Duckfeet. They are designed for your feet to feel natural and able to spread your toes out.
Amazon has a “leather shoe stretcher” spray that actually works. I sprayed it on the inside of the toebox of a pair of shoes and then put the shoes on with socks and wore them around the house, and the toebox stretched out enough for me to wear them.
Emily, you're adorable. I love your energy and content. Thanks for a great video! Since Covid, I have zero tolerance for uncomfortable shoes. Will definitely be on a lookout for these brands here in the US.
ABEO avenue sandal. They have a small platform in front with a rocker sole which helps. I have bunions and Freidburgs ...so heels are difficult but these sandals dont hurt... maybe try them for when u need dress up.. I also have luck with Naot and Birkenstocks
I have bunions from childhood, and I always had to wear comfortable shoes, even if they looked not so stylish. Buying shoes is always a problem for me because I also have 9.5÷10 size😅😂 Are your recomendations only available in Australia?😅😢😢😢

Hi! I have been recently diagnosed with arthritis that really damaged my right ankle, as well as plantar fasciitis and big toe and heel pain. Could you tell me more about these Shoes? Do they come with good orthotics, what kind of support do they offer etc? Thanks a lot!
@@jguti1975 Hi there, really I can't add anything to my comment above. I find they have very good arch support (I have high arches), cushioning all along the sole - the forefoot is especially important for me as my arthritis means I feel like I'm walking on my bones! The style I purchased - Melissa and Regina Pro - has a broad heel meaning my weak ankles are more stable. My feet are quite narrow but flare out where my toes begin and I have a tailor's bunion (that's a bunion on my little toes) so I need a wide box, which these have. One thing to note is that the insole is not removable; I bought a half size larger thinking I'd need room for my orthotics, but in fact I don't need them in this shoe. To be clear, the best for my feet, sadly, are trainers and hiking boots with my orthotics. I use the Vivaia when I want something more elegant - going to dinner or theatre - though I have danced in them! I wouldn't walk around town in them all day. @@jguti1975 Oh, well I haven't tried any other models by Vivaia. Generally for trainers I find Ecco, Rieke, possibly Joseph Siebel, though this last tends to be too flat, ideally there should be a 2cm fall from heel to ball of foot. Choose hi-tops bc they will hold your ankle.

Yes I do believe that inherited bunions is really the inherited tendency to get bunions. And I think it goes along with other stuff that makes joints a little extra flexible.
I’m not sure what the relevance of your comment is with regard to the subject of Ms. May’s video, but she said at the start her pain is caused by arthritis. There’s a difference between bunions and arthritis. Arthritis is arthritis and bunions are bunions.

You have very pretty feet 😊
