Mario Kart Double Dash was the very first console game I ever owned. Back then without memory card .... Which is probably the reason why it's my favorite Mario Kart game.

"Piracy" didn't kill the Sega Dreamcast that's a myth. The Playstation 2 killed the Dreamcast and piracy was pretty easy on the PS2. Piracy was super easy on the Wii and it didn't kill it.

It's not a myth, it's definitely not the one thing that killed the Dreamcast but it was thrown on the pile with everything else to become one of the many reasons it failed.

When you tackle the Wii U (one of my personal favorite consoles), I found a useless fact.
You know how you can change the poses of your Miis on the TV in the Mii Maker with a wii remote? Well, if you wait long enough, they actually animate

Two things.
One the GameCube used special encoding on the discs so only the game cube could read them. You could stick the disc into a PC at the time but thanks to the encoding the drives cannot read the disc. This was carried over to the wii but thanks to the high failure rate of the drive it has become an almost requirement to have a spare drive or two ready if you wish to continue to play wii games as intended.
Two Wind waker is compatible with gba link cable for two player co-op or for using tingle to get into areas you're not supposed to.

U didn't miss out on much tbh. I bought one just for metroid prime, and the resident evil exclusives...
I can't remember anything else on that thing which was very great...
I did like that mario sunshine game back then... eternal darkness was also friggin neat.
I wouldnt play those today though.
Maybe mario just for 20 minutes just to bring myself back..
Id say eternal darkness needs a REMAKE though 💁🏿‍♀️🫗

This is blatant misinformation being spread on the internet. They spin the same was as all other discs, and the fact they work on the Wii is proof of this.

This is easily disproven by anyone who ever had a gamecube and opened the disc tray. They spin clockwise and the data is recoded on a spiral from the inside to the outside just like any other optical disc format.

Speaking of 3D I once was playing one of the Baten Kaitos games which as far as I know use 2d backgrounds in places yet the TV I was using at the time was oddly convinced I was playing actual 3d content (since it had settings for that sort of stuff), obviously doesn't prove anything at all but it sure was odd. Also I believe there is a trick you can do with Wavebird controllers to have a single controller control as many ports as you have adapters for, though with how rare those controllers seems its difficult for people to try.
