Cannot hurt yourself.. about that, I flew one of these into my hair a couple years ago.. I don't suggest it. They are fantastic though, I feel like they get more love than the bigger drones sometimes. Amazing quality for the price.
I remember when drones around 20$ meant you had to charge it quite some time to maybe get 4m of flight time, of which it lacked hover mode or go back to home..Example devil. things that made you tire of the drone quickly because once you learned to control the drone and keep it in the air, it was already time to charge it.
be carefull with the puffy battery, eventually it might explode and/or catch fire and/or shoot out a hot fire jet once it gets to puffy. make sure to either replace it in time, or to store it in a metal fireproof container and also charge it in such a fireproof container and don't get to upset it the drone catches fire eventually. but if it gets to puffy you should really get another one since at a certain point even just picking it up can give the chance of it exploding at some point and they can give nasty burns or worse. ofcource I have also used and still use some batteries which are somewhat puffy, but once they get to puffy your chances at problems greatly increase and you should get others, and don't forget about them since a lipo can also be dangerous when it is laying somewhere in the closet for long.
@@ted_van_loon thanks dude you are right ,I've just bought 2 new battery's in last week for my 3s and they puffed on 3rd charge and now on there 7th or 8th charge got warm and no longer take a charge:( I guess buying the cheapest brand "tranity" maybe reason as the previous packs that came with the quad lasted a whole year charging and using every day! So 100nzd was a waste now they are outside waiting! Lol my luck, is there a chance 1s or single cells aren't as dangerous?
@@mercurymoyes4018 yes 1s cells aren't as dangerous in some ways, they can still puff and explode, but they are much less likely to puff. there are mostly 2 reasons: 1: there is only one cell, which means that there is no need for cell balancing, with lipos with more than 1s depending on the quality and if/what cirquitry the maker adds in them balancing becomes very important otherwise they will die rapidly, many chargers do balance it automatically, but not all do it that well, and while discharging it is best if it is balanced as well but often that is not done either. 2: since basically all 1s lipos(the 1s lipos meant for rc, so not those round battries) have protection cirquitry build in by default, this means hey are protected agains overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent in almost all cases. while I personally think the undervoltage protection in most of them kicks in much to late(2,5v) (going from 3 to 2,5 reduces the lipos life time really by a lot), and some newer ones mainly from places like aliexpress like to kind of remove the overvoltage protection from them and label them HV(high voltage) as if that is good, and say you can charge them to 4,35V instead of 4,2V(please be carefull Lipos branded with HV or high voltage are almost never safe to use without extra protection it just means the manufacturer decided to save a few sents on hunderds of them and then instead of admitting they reduced quality they say it is fo good use, lipos are already stretched when they are charged to 4.2v. ideally you would want to stay between 3.2V and 3.8V to keep them healthy for the longest. (note that there are some actual HV lipos which should resist that higher voltage but most just use the label and don't optimize the cell, and even with a optimized cell it is best to not go that high) but 1s still are generally safer indeed, because they need no balancing and they have protection cirquitry embedded in them in general, even the bad ones still tend to eventually protect against over or under voltage, and against over current. lipos with more than 1s often don't have such cirquitry build in to them, some of them have it and they significantly last longer, but to see it in general you need to look inside the plastic which contains all the cells. however in more than 1s lipos in manny cases you will need to use a special charger or tool for balancing them, you often also need to be carefull with voltage and current, so you often need special hardware to prevent overcurrent and over and under voltage. over voltage is often prevented using a good charger, but undervoltage and overamperage need a special cirquit, suceh a cirquit is super cheap and small(in 1s you can often see that very small thing looking like a pcb at the connectors) for low voltage at medium or low amperage, but super expensive and big at more than 1S voltage and high or medium amprage. it is also due to the target market, thise 1s lipos are also a lot used in small and cheap rc things, and phones, embedded electronics, etc. they want a complete package for cheap without much work and certainly don't like having to add electronics for battery management so there they are typically embedded. many of those devices also only have one battery build in by default. for the more than 1s ones(so 2s 3s 4s 5s 6s 7s 8s 9s 10s etc). they are speciffically targetted at devices which drive heavy loads, so high amperage, high voltage, they also often are speciffically aimed at the rc marget and there many esc's etc. have those protections build in by default. in rc cars for example you need a special ESC which has such balancing build in to it if you want to use lipo safely otherwise those rc car lipo batteries will puff after one or 2 uses, and might even explode on the first ride f you are not carefull. drone targeted batteries however have a bigger chance of having protection cirquitry build in than rc car batteries. What kind of charger and balancer do you use for your lipos? an does your drone have undervolage protection build in, or do you in some other way prevent the batteries from going to low?
@@mercurymoyes4018 oh btw. mercury moyes. do you still have that old puffed battery or did you already throw it out. because if you still have it, and know how to do it safely you can look if it has such a protection cirquit build in, and check the same on those new broken ones. it is possible this old one had it build in and those new ones don't. I personally sometimes take the protection cirquit of before throwing lipos out(again make sure you know how to do it safely if you do, if you do it wrong it can be dangerous, and do it outside). that way I can reuse it for batteries which don't have one and either leave it like that or do so untill I have a new or better cirquit. but if you look if you can find protection cirquits inside then make sure not to damage the puffy plastic or metal film. if you make a hole in that it is really bad. in most cases if it has a protection cirquit in it it is outside of that and often it is directly connected to the wire going out of the lipo often only covered with something like a sticker or extra film/tape. I do for example have a 2s lipo which does actually have a protection cirquit build in and to make it even batter that one has vented cells which mean that they won't puff and so are a lot safer.
@@ted_van_loon yeah my paranoia level of battery's has risen since captindrones lipo fire for sure!, so at moment I've got all my bung batteries in an ammo tin on my oven, and left the new teranty 3s out side on a BBQ plate ,I sent photos through to company I bought off and they seem like they are willing to look after me "totalrc":) fingers crossed! Hey cap good video thank you! Can you tell me please a good inexpensive fpv beginner drone kit to buy. Never flew fpv! Thank you. Keep them video's coming. Preferably woop and a fpv controller?
I bought a little holy stone drone for my kid ,it’s pretty much not flyable and I broke it within a couple flights , got it replaced on warranty and now my 9 year old doesn’t want doesn’t want to fly it , sits in a drawer forever , $50 down the drain…. This little drone you just reviews seems so much more value and at $18 it’s a no brained as a stocking filler , or just a gift … thanks for the video Cap.
I impulse bought a small drone like that one a couple years ago for the purpose of flying indoors to mess with the cats. Turns out my golden retriever loved it more and goes nuts chasing it in the back yard. It too had brushed motors and only lasted 8 months before the bearings in a couple of the motors started to wear resulting in non stable flight. I think that one was only $12.00 US. Even the drone feature in this video, being at $18.00 is what I consider a disposable drone to have fun with your pets. If it breaks or wears out, just toss it and buy another. I bet one cant even find replacement motors for these drones. If you can find replacement motors, cost plus shipping will probably cost you more than the drone. They should have just soldered the motor wires to the board, saving the connectot cost. But ifvthr drone breaks, you're only out $18.00. Lol
I got one like that of amazon the only negative is the drone doesn't have a switch to turn it off So u have to un plug fiddly plug So I don't push the plug all the way in so it's easy to unplug it my one is pretty much the same , my batterys last 6 min IV had hours of fun
The controller is always the drawback with these toy grade drones. Even at 18-25 bucks, there is so much more potential you could get out of them. I'd buy one if we can figure out a protocol that will work on TX16S.
So I went to order...My very first order with Chinese Banggood for this drone. The price listed for one battery was $18.99 US. Two batteries, $23.99. I ordered the 2 battery option. When I went to pay they charged me $27.99 plus shipping. Insane
Shipping is normally FREE (lowest shipping that takes 3 weeks to arrive), but depending on your country and what you order, and how you ask to have it shipped can add to the cost
most fpv drones are rather easy to fly, just make sure the camera angle is right and that the Field Of Vieuw is big, the bigger the FOV the more easy to fly, the angle also needs to be good, but I once got a fpv drone with a verry narrow FOV and it was terrible since it either filmed the ceiling or the ground and you couldn't see anything. but in general almost all budged fpv drones have modes to make them easy to fly like this. from the more expensive drones the ones which aren't aimed at acrobats or racers but more at lazy flyers and people using them just to record video also tend to be that easy to fly, many of them will even be more easy to fly. just make sure to get analog fpv and not wifi fpv. since wifi is slow has a low range, low frame rate, high latency, and all these problems exponentially increase once the distance between you and the drone is more than 3 to 5 meters and typically bad cameras with low dynamic range and fov. with analog 5.8ghz fpv you get good quality, good framerate super fast response time, long range etc, and typically good cameras with a good fov. then there are also the dji ones, very expensive and they use a different type of fpv, if you are just flying up above any obstacles and in a safe area and slow then you can use that to, it has higher immage quality, and decent range also much better latency than wifi but still if you want to fly easily at speed with obstacles you will likely want analog fpv instead due to it being much more stable and having constant super low latency. in a few years this might differ however since analog fpv still is limited by the framerate, so if dji takes the lessons from analog fpv and uses a similar aproach and just sends all data once and displays it once just how it gets it but then at a higher framerate and data speed then that might be better eventually. but know that analog fpv also can support much higher framerates the cameras and displays and the standard just don't support it yet, the communication analog fpv uses can easily go(support) over 2,5gb/s, but it uses a much smaller part of it because it simply doesn't get that much data to send or receive.
Help! I bought one of these little things and I can’t get it to connect. The light on the controller is flashing very fast and the lights on the drone are flashing slow ish. It will not connect tho and I can’t figure it out
Excellent video :-) Is there any trick to pulling the little battery connector out of the charger socket? Its really difficult. Usually these things have a little clip or something you release but I can't see anything. Thanks again 🙂
I have 4 grandboys who always wants to fly my Aquila 16. I'd love to get 4 of these for them but wouldn't the radio signals get mixed if they wanted to fly at the same time?
Will it fit a hero 10 lol, just kidding, I doubt it would even lift my runcam thumb pro. But yeah I still remember my little things like that, they are fun and that’s all they are.
You meant 3 triple aaa batteries right Steve? Lol... laughed at brush motors its 18 DOLLARS... just ordered one w 2 batteries just to play with, PS.. can you use the teim tecnique on a holy stone drone like 720E or G.. my DJI air2 will be hers monday. Woot
No idea since EACHINE does not really make products but rather they stamp their name on products that they ask other companies to make for them. Probably something simple like D8 or FRSKY or FLYSKY.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Nope Steve. Just about every time that they have reissued/upgraded the original JJRC H36/E010 the protocol has been "tweaked" - requiring a bit more work from Pascal on the Multi Module. Don't believe that this 1 is in the can yet.
Hey captain drone, I saw your video on this drone and I decided to get one myself, I got it but sometimes, the drone just starts to lose power and altitude. I try to make it go up with rc but it still doesnt go up, after like 10 seconds, it can fly up and down again. What should I do about this :(

They should have just soldered the motor wires to the board, saving the connectot cost. But ifvthr drone breaks, you're only out $18.00. Lol
Nice drone
I got one like that of amazon the only negative is the drone doesn't have a switch to turn it off So u have to un plug fiddly plug So I don't push the plug all the way in so it's easy to unplug it my one is pretty much the same , my batterys last 6 min IV had hours of fun
The controller is always the drawback with these toy grade drones. Even at 18-25 bucks, there is so much more potential you could get out of them. I'd buy one if we can figure out a protocol that will work on TX16S.
Stick extensions are the usual way to improve the Tx action.

They should make a FPV drone this easy to fly!
They do , it's called dji fpv.
most fpv drones are rather easy to fly, just make sure the camera angle is right and that the Field Of Vieuw is big, the bigger the FOV the more easy to fly, the angle also needs to be good, but I once got a fpv drone with a verry narrow FOV and it was terrible since it either filmed the ceiling or the ground and you couldn't see anything.
but in general almost all budged fpv drones have modes to make them easy to fly like this. from the more expensive drones the ones which aren't aimed at acrobats or racers but more at lazy flyers and people using them just to record video also tend to be that easy to fly, many of them will even be more easy to fly.
just make sure to get analog fpv and not wifi fpv. since wifi is slow has a low range, low frame rate, high latency, and all these problems exponentially increase once the distance between you and the drone is more than 3 to 5 meters and typically bad cameras with low dynamic range and fov. with analog 5.8ghz fpv you get good quality, good framerate super fast response time, long range etc, and typically good cameras with a good fov. then there are also the dji ones, very expensive and they use a different type of fpv, if you are just flying up above any obstacles and in a safe area and slow then you can use that to, it has higher immage quality, and decent range also much better latency than wifi but still if you want to fly easily at speed with obstacles you will likely want analog fpv instead due to it being much more stable and having constant super low latency. in a few years this might differ however since analog fpv still is limited by the framerate, so if dji takes the lessons from analog fpv and uses a similar aproach and just sends all data once and displays it once just how it gets it but then at a higher framerate and data speed then that might be better eventually. but know that analog fpv also can support much higher framerates the cameras and displays and the standard just don't support it yet, the communication analog fpv uses can easily go(support) over 2,5gb/s, but it uses a much smaller part of it because it simply doesn't get that much data to send or receive.
I want one of those
Help! I bought one of these little things and I can’t get it to connect. The light on the controller is flashing very fast and the lights on the drone are flashing slow ish. It will not connect tho and I can’t figure it out
im moving to the states? £24 here and only on ebay, thanks for the review,
Maybe one of those tiny 1080 spy cams would mount on it 😂
Excellent video :-) Is there any trick to pulling the little battery connector out of the charger socket? Its really difficult. Usually these things have a little clip or something you release but I can't see anything. Thanks again 🙂
All I can say is never pull by the wires, but rather pull and wiggle.
I have 4 grandboys who always wants to fly my Aquila 16. I'd love to get 4 of these for them but wouldn't the radio signals get mixed if they wanted to fly at the same time?
Not sure. You may have to power them on one after another to avoid that.
They are a lot of fun. Do you have the bugs 3 drone. A raw flyer. Great outdoors.
Great channel
Thank you!
Awesome!
Hello Captaindrone. No extra props on banggood. Change a motor, has you say, were do you get it?
Cool!
Great rewiew IT has brushless motor?
Nope
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 it is Good for beginner? And what the range thanks 👍
These were a big hit in New Jersey.
Buying one…👍
Will it fit a hero 10 lol, just kidding, I doubt it would even lift my runcam thumb pro. But yeah I still remember my little things like that, they are fun and that’s all they are.
put a mavic inspire ontop of it !!!!
Steve always good videos..Hey when you will review the DJI Avata?
I had to order one. I don't get FREE DJI Drones like some people... gotta buy mine. So you'll see one in September.
Thanks a lot for this!
What are the old someone buy me this drone?
Hello Steve, how often do you need to calibrate the gyro?
I guess if you crash, then it is a good idea to do it.
Back on drones.😂😂
You meant 3 triple aaa batteries right Steve? Lol... laughed at brush motors its 18 DOLLARS... just ordered one w 2 batteries just to play with, PS.. can you use the teim tecnique on a holy stone drone like 720E or G.. my DJI air2 will be hers monday. Woot
Seems to me like a perfect very low budget trainer drone 🤔
As you say Steve, impulsive purchase inbound
Lord knows I've made many impulse buys in my life... Most good.
What binding protocol does Eachine use?
No idea since EACHINE does not really make products but rather they stamp their name on products that they ask other companies to make for them. Probably something simple like D8 or FRSKY or FLYSKY.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Nope Steve. Just about every time that they have reissued/upgraded the original JJRC H36/E010 the protocol has been "tweaked" - requiring a bit more work from Pascal on the Multi Module. Don't believe that this 1 is in the can yet.
Actually E017 protocol is now available for this drone on Multi Radios.
Are you going to have an Avata review?
Yes, I ordered one (I don't get DJI Drones for free). It should arrive for early September.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Looking forward to your thoughts! Mine shows up 9/12.
Hey captain drone, I saw your video on this drone and I decided to get one myself, I got it but sometimes, the drone just starts to lose power and altitude. I try to make it go up with rc but it still doesnt go up, after like 10 seconds, it can fly up and down again. What should I do about this :(
Could be something as simple as your CALIBRATION is off which means your ALTITUDE HOLD is off. The instruction manual should help you out there.
Are you gonna get the dji avata and do video's. Your instruction video's are the best!
Yes. I have ordered and paid for one & it should arrive by early September.
Cool 😎
My first drone or quad years ago was the 1rst gen sky viper stunt drone that was sold at wal mart. many years later , i have a spark now and i wish i had a better drone then the old DJI Spark i have now . And scammers sorry im not falling for the you won a drones comment again , after the last one i lost 100 dollars , that i will never see again . So screw you all trying hard to scam other commenters.
I ordered one to get into drones. Is it the same controls mode 2 as dji mini and fpv drones?
Yes
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 10x
Which mode is most common? Mode 1 or Mode 2?
@@dimitarnaydenov90 Depends on your country. In North America everything is pretty much mode 2.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 i guess is the same in Europe
I am right-handed
Does this drone have manual mode?
Nope
I bought one £25 inc postage to uk
Hi thank you for your great reviews!!! They are very helpful
I am interested which mode is the remote 1or2?
Which mode is the most comon use?
I am planning to buy dji mini 3pro rc and fpv iflight bumblebee v3 and in future nazgul.
Firstly maybe is a good idea to practice with that toy a little
Remote comes as a MODE 2. But, I'm pretty sure it can be switched to a MODE 1.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 mode 2 is the most common right?
There is a scammer in the comments here
Hey sir steve where's your dji avata?
I had to order one. I don't get FREE DJI Drones like some people... gotta buy mine. So you'll see one in September.
I learned my drone controls on the E010. The start to a very expensive hobby.
