I remember watching a compilation of private recordings of GLS, and saw how she kind of just dismantled the song and made it her own. She didnt need to, but im pretty sure it gave her some satisfaction doing it. A sense of accomplishment?

Floor can LITERALLY do whatever she wants to with her voice, just anything. If you want to hear her growl the song is Yours Is An Empty Hope. After hearing the angelic stuff she can do I couldn’t believe she could growl but she doesn’t just growl, she’s GOOD at it! I had already heard her do almost everything, that song made me realize there’s just no limit to what she can do. I’ve Never heard anyone else with such command of their voice

This is one of my favourite Nightwish performances I have seen. It is so upbeat and happy but still has that epic fantasy like Nightwish grandeur about it. ❤😍❤👏😍 Tuomas's keyboards are incredible in this song and Floor nails it too! I love her little dances. I enjoyed watching you react., I can tell you really got in to it.
Whatever you do folks, don't clue him into Beste Zangers until he's properly exposed to the many styles of Floor in Nightwish. I'm not sure he can handle it at such a young (NW) age. :)

I was there. It was an overwhelming feeling and one of the greatest concerts of my life. Months ago it seemed the band would never play again. This night was the rebirth of the band before the biggest crowd of the tour. Maybe this helps you to understand why all, band and fans, were so really, really happy. It was truly the rebirth.

A Classic and what a range of vocals for Floor. Her voice evokes many emotions - Many choke up in sections. Highly Recommend! And as someone else suggested, after you've been fully indoctrinated into the world of Nightwish, then check out Floor on all 8 episodes of Beste Zangers 2019. Incredible!

Songs to avoid in the beginning are probably the 2 remaining masterpieces. They will come when you are ready. You will know when.
About Nightwish: It is all about Tuomas Holopainen (THE composer, keyboards). They have had three main vocalists 1996->. And while Floor Jansen highlights many of their doings - the earlier stuff is remarkable as well - not forgetting the vocal stuff the bass player can deliver.

Hahaha, you are in the same phase as many of us were at one stage or another: You listen to NW, first time hearing. You are amazed by the band and pleasantly surprised. You listen again, this time another song. Even more amazed! Now you start thinking: 'when this continues the way it does now, one of these days NW might, just míght become my favourite band. You listen to it again, third time hearing. You listen to it again, fourth time hearing .... You listen to it again, twentieth time hearing. great reaction and always fun with someone new been blown away with Nightwish. this is my favorite band and the feeling i get when Floor came in was amazing. all songs i like was given a new life and for me Nightwish was completed. Finally i could say that this was the ultimate combination. Both Tarja and Anette was good singers of course but i think Floor has the huge range, she can sing almost everything. All my favorite songs from the past has been given a new life and make me start up again with listening too older song with a new life and twist.

Tuomas (the keyboardits) once said in a interview, when Floor starts to sing you get hypnotized and that headbanging she does is worldfamous and is called windmills or windmilling (after all she is Dutch) Next please Song of Myself, Everdream same Wacken concert and too much Nightwish doesn't excist :)
Great reaction!! Tonnes of suggestions given by everyone, you will not be disappointed with any of them. Song of Myself is one of my personal favorites, Ghost River.
If you watch the entire show, you will notice how happy they are playing with her. This show was the final on the tour, with the best recording work possible, to produce the DVD. After the opening song, Floor sent all her worries away and made the best live show she could do for the Nightwish. Jukka was precise as a swiss watch, the heart of the band.
The look on Toumas's face says it all. He knows the sheer power of Floor's voice and just how insanely talented the musicians are who are backing her. Plus she has amazing stage presence.
Floor is Dutch, so we call that a windmill! Floor gives us all goosebumps. It is the tone, the emotion, and power of her voice. This band just has so much fun playing this amazing music. And that my friend is how you climax the end of a song! They are all great songs, and some are very different. You are incredibly fun to watch react to our favorite band and Floor Jansen, The Queen of symphonic metal. There are so many songs to react to it would take several weeks even if you did 30 or 40 in a row. Always check out live video's unless it is not available or no good quality ones. As you can see and hear Nightwish is wonderful doing live performances. Stay safe and we will be there next time. Let's all sub for this great reactor. When you get to "Poet and the Pendulum", be sure to do some backstory research first. It is autobiographical. Best version is live from Wembley with onscreen lyrics, very helpful! A Classic and what a range of vocals for Floor. Her voice evokes many emotions - Many choke up in sections. Highly Recommend! And as someone else suggested, after you've been fully indoctrinated into the world of Nightwish, then check out Floor on all 8 episodes of Beste Zangers 2019. Incredible!

Songs to avoid in the beginning are probably the 2 remaining masterpieces. They will come when you are ready. You will know when.

About Nightwish: It is all about Tuomas Holopainen (THE composer, keyboards). They have had three main vocalists 1996->. And while Floor Jansen highlights many of their doings - the earlier stuff is remarkable as well - not forgetting the vocal stuff the bass player can deliver.

I would definitely add the song "My Walden" somewhere third or fourth on the list. Without it, you will definitely not have a complete idea of what ALL the current members of this band are capable of. It would be a great representation of the sixth member of Nightwish that you haven't seen yet.

great reaction and always fun with someone new been blown away with Nightwish. this is my favorite band and the feeling i get when Floor came in was amazing. all songs i like was given a new life and for me Nightwish was completed. Finally i could say that this was the ultimate combination. Both Tarja and Anette was good singers of course but i think Floor has the huge range, she can sing almost everything. All my favorite songs from the past has been given a new life and make me start up again with listening too older song with a new life and twist.

Tuomas (the keyboardits) once said in a interview, when Floor starts to sing you get hypnotized and that headbanging she does is worldfamous and is called windmills or windmilling (after all she is Dutch) Next please Song of Myself, Everdream same Wacken concert and too much Nightwish doesn't excist :)

If you watch the entire show, you will notice how happy they are playing with her. This show was the final on the tour, with the best recording work possible, to produce the DVD. After the opening song, Floor sent all her worries away and made the best live show she could do for the Nightwish.

Floor is Dutch, so we call that a windmill! Floor gives us all goosebumps. It is the tone, the emotion, and power of her voice. This band just has so much fun playing this amazing music. And that my friend is how you climax the end of a song! They are all great songs, and some are very different. You are incredibly fun to watch react to our favorite band and Floor Jansen, The Queen of symphonic metal. There are so many songs to react to it would take several weeks even if you did 30 or 40 in a row. Always check out live video's unless it is not available or no good quality ones. As you can see and hear Nightwish is wonderful doing live performances. Stay safe and we will be there next time. Let's all sub for this great reactor.
