  • I was looking for a good sounding live version of City Sirens to play along to and this was the best I could find. This is a really cool tune and I love the combo of Page with Steve Winwood.

Very Bonham-esque playing George! Looks like Simon Phillips on drums for the live version, and what a voice with Steve Winwood! Dave Mattacks from Fairport Convention is listed as the drummer on the album soundtrack. For Pagey's post Zep / solo stuff, I'd also love to hear anything you like from the Outrider album at some point too. Thanks! ✌❤🥁

    Great job.
DW II was the best thing Page did after Zeppelin and he should have explored more film soundtrack work.
    It suited his atmospheric playing.
I also think Pictures at Eleven was Plant's best solo album and it was released straight after Zeppelin disbanded too.

I liked when Jimmy came out with the Firm. I can still remember the first time I heard Radioactive on the radio. I wasn’t blown away exactly but I thought it was interesting and good and Page’s guitar tone was very creative and different. It was just exciting to be hearing new Jimmy material. Over time the tunes hold up as classics in my book.

I feel the same way, I'm glad I got to see them in 1985. It was a great show.

Oddly Paul Rodgers was the main composer and even played the solo on Radioactive! Loved The Firm!

I’ll never forget seeing Page in L.A. in ‘88. That midway set of Midnight Moonlight>White Summer>Kashmir>IMTOD>City Sirens! What an amazing sonic assault! Thanks for reminding me I still have my old copy of Deathwish II on vinyl just waiting for a spin!!

You’re so good, it’s like Bonzo was playing with Jimmy at the ARMS concert! It’s almost very touching. Great job!

ARMS Concert, Royal Albert Hall, London, England, 1983. Ray Cooper and Simon Phillips played drums on City Sirens. This was amazing. Can you do do Who's To Blame, from the same concert? Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🥁

I've got an idea for you George. Do you remember when all the New Wave hit in like 1982?
Wouldn't it be cool if you could take all those songs that had thin, uninspiring electric drum beats like Flock of Seagulls, etc., and put Bonham drums sounds on them.
There are dozens and dozens of songs like that.
Have a channel called Bonhamized or something like that.
    It would be cool.

That's a good idea, although they would have to be good songs! A lot of the songs from that era I didn't particularly care for, but there are some good ones!

Pretty much the only saving grace of the Death Wish II soundtrack. It was much better after The Firm redid it! Saw them perform it twice with Paul Rodgers, he and Chris Slade really put the touches onto it that it needed live! It's a tricky little time signature, George dealt with it very nicely!
