- Another TV show theme...my little tribute to the great Redd Foxx and Sanford and Son. I always loved this show and the theme song , a.k.a. " The Streetbeater", written and arranged by Quincy Jones.

This is a much needed bright spot in an otherwise crummy day. I needed this! The added percussion along with Aunt Esther is just fantastic. Thanks Professor!!!!
Thanks Jason, glad to hear that!
Love it! One of my faves from the 70's. And Aunt Esther! :-) Great job, as always, Mr. Fludas. Be well everyone.
This is such an underrated groove of a song. The mix that plays during the end credits is different and even funkier in my opinion.
Timeless S&S theme on a Bonham kit. Now I’ve really seen it all. Sounds great. Thanks.
I'm comin home, Elizabeth
Love the cutaways to the percussion. Really nails it! Great job
That’s so awesome! Last week during our gig we did The Jeffersons theme. So much fun! ❤🤘🏼
Mario! That's awesome! Hope you are well! Say hi to Niko!
Well George, you just completed my year and it's still only June. Thank you!
OK where has this song been hiding on me? I watched the show but wasn't aware it was much more than a TV show intro. That was fun to watch. Great drumming video!
I'll never listen to that song the same way again . Good job as always !!!
Awesome! This song randomly plays in my head. Seems to come out of nowhere. Catchy
Yes, it really is
Very cool. I just bought a vibraslap and some shakers and a triangle for recording. I'm not a "percussionist", I play drum set, but I'll fake it 'till I make it. Cool theme music. Instantly recognisable. On this side of the pond it was called Stepstoe and Son, different show, but I think it was the original, and Stanford and Son was the US version.
I'd love to see you and Bonzoleum do a cover of the All in the Family theme. Doesn't matter to me who sings which part!
All I could think about was Fred saying “you big dummy “. Freaking awesome George!!!
This theme song didn't need to go this hard but it did.
Telefilm spettacolare della mia infanzia ❗😲❤️
Now that was fun!!
That was just straight up cool !!
Thank you, George
Tight!! I actually use the original as my phone ringtone.
The bass riffing in this song is ridiculous!
Long live the 70s theme songs!
YEAH....I think it's Carol Kaye
@BONHAMOLOGY It's either Chuck Rainey or Ray Brown.
Chuck Rainey, he shows you how he did it on RUclips,
@@JasonSmith-pv1ff Thanks , I thought it was either him or Carol.
He does similar bass fills on Kid Charlemagne, I should of mentioned I love your channel and you playing and tone is supreme thank you so much
Would love to see more of these! This is fantastic!!
Ha! Great take on a classic from the 70's... brilliant to include a shot of Aunt 'You fish eyed fool' Esther in the vid mix too.
Lawanda Page as Aunt Esther.
You made me laugh so hard. What a great way to end the day. Thank you, George.
Thanks!!
Awesome! My favorite TV show & theme song. I never heard the entire song, before.👍
We do share the same interests, Sanford & Son was a totally awesome show and I love that song too. I liked the episode when Fred said “ I was gonna knock his teeth out … then I saw his teeth was in the glass” 😂🤣 For those of you who didn’t understand, the guy didn’t have teeth, he wore dentures and they were in the glass🤣
😂
@@BONHAMOLOGY Red Fox made me laugh so hard. When he was advertised on tv, I was there, the best black comedian ever. Every time I watch his facial expressions and hear his voice, I have a volcano of laughter lol
oh yeah man
A great drum cover. I remember this show from long ago. If it is possible can you do a drum cover for Barney Miller? Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🥁
That one's on my list!
@@BONHAMOLOGYThe first one right? Or I'll have to take my thumb back :)
hell ya! groovy!
More cowbell 🤘🏻
Aunt Esther ftw
Fun stuff
Still waiting for Streets of San Francisco 😉
It's on the to do list!
Yeah, man! This opens up a can of worms now, doesn’t it?
Do the themes from Night Court, and Barney Miller next! 😊
😁
Starts out Country/Western at first with the pedal steel guitar and harmonica, then snaps into Funk action.
Yeah!
You LaMont and Fred on tour you would sold out every show and I would have been right there in the front row. lol 😅
I see a mini drum set…is there a mini George getting quality father & son drumming time?
I only wish the drums were higher in the mix!
George! Terrific stuff, brother!! Do you write this out or is your memory just that good!!!
Thanks, it's just by memory
