I wouldn’t be able to answer that at the moment since I haven’t done much other than web browsing since school hasn’t yet. But as far as fans and thermals the fans do turn on every now and then and they are pretty quiet, good enough to not draw attention if I were doing work at a library. And thermals aren’t bad either, it hasn’t gotten to hot. But all this is considering I haven’t put it under heavy work loads

So far I’ve used solid works a hand full of times but did that work at the school computers. I’ve also used matlab, autocad, and C++ throughout the quarters for my lower division classes on my MacBook Air. I’m anticipating to be using more advanced software for my upper division classes which Is why i bought this laptop since my Mac was struggling a bit with matlab

How long did you have to wait for the laptop to arrive? I ordered mine on the 25th of august and it hasn't even shipped yet as of today (21 sept)
It took 5 business days for me. I had ordered it on a Sunday and it got to me the following Friday
