Jimi was a genius. He played such amazing rhythm guitar mixed with frills and solos and then his solos are mixed with double stops and partial chords; it is hard to know where one stops and the other starts! All this while singing and chewing gum and looking like the coolest cat on the planet. What a dude.
The thing about Hendrix for me has always been how he so rapidly hangs phrases together in the most interesting arrangements. I've never even tried this song and I still may not, but thanks to you I can study the phrases and pinch some ideas. Thanks so much and well done!

For those wandering what the tuning is its 1/2 down/e flat standard if you use a capo on the first fret you just tune it to standard with the capo on and then take it off and you'll have youself 1/2 down/e flat standard tuning.
Or just tune it to D#,G#,C#,F#, A#,D#, if you have a Sharkey tuner if it doesn't recognize flats. No capo needed. It will be a little out of tune with the removal of the capo. Perfect tuning with the tuner. Or use your ear.
I can't even fathom Jimi just sitting down one day and coming up with THIS as an original thought all in his head for the first time. Many seasoned guitar pros struggle to play it accurately, he had to create the notes from scratch and go 'yea that's good'.
