This aged very well . Like this if you’re here after the nuggets beat the clippers and Utah becoming the first team in nba history to EVER come back from more than one 3-1 deficit to win .
No single team is responsible for a trade that *BOTH* teams wanted. Harden, KD, Shaq, and Bron are more valuable than Gobert and Mitchell. Did OKC build the Rockets and the Warriors, or did they build themselves? Did the Orlando Magic build the Lakers? Did the Cavs build the Heat? Short answer - No.
The Nuggets are actually very refreshing. They play as a team, fully support each other, and play hard for the coach. Since no big name players wanted to come to Denver and form a “Big 3”, the organization quietly built a solid squad top to bottom, and their depth is second to none. While ESPN and others hype the bottom feeder Lakers every 5 seconds, the Nuggets have the best record with 1/10 of the publicity. Bravo!
This media hype of Lebron has made an interesting effect on people in Europe (dunno about USA or rest of the world) and lots of ppl just started dissliking Lebron (not to say hate him). People here dont like to be served as much propaganda bullshit, guess people in USA are used to it and dont mind..Who knows they might even trust it. East is no better with constant talking of Celtics who arent in the top 4 teams in any category. Indiana has been overlooked and they are a great team with lots of potential.. Raptors got a bit more coverage cause of Kawhi and Sixers cause of Embid, but in all honesty that team plays good basketball even without Joel. I just hate it when media focuses on 1 guy.. Its just moronic.. No player can win alone or make a team great or even decent. This is a team sport and it takes 5 good starters and another few good players off the bench to have a good team..this aint tennis or boxing and even in those sports a great player/athlet cant win without good support from coaches, managers, family ectr.. I think NBA and its media should focus more on team culture and develop that so the fans all over the USA or the world would be loyal to a franchise and not just to a single player. In europe Higuain signs from Napoli to Juventus and all his fans just burn their Higuan shirts.. and they support Napoli still.. not move on to his next club. Here you are a fan of a club. Having a good player on it is just a bonus.

If you tank, you wouldn't be able to develop the culture of hard work and dedication to winning that the Nuggets have. This is the Phoenix Suns and the Kincks biggest problem imo and it's why the same teams end up in the draft every year. There is enough talent hidden in the draft so that you don't have to tank. Gary Harris 19th pick, Jokic 42nd, Nurk 19th, Mitchell 13th, Gobert 27th. The Sixers are an exception but they basically drafted 2 home runs in Embiid and Simmons. DO NOT TANK, IT'S NOT WORTH IT. Nuggets highest pick was just 7th
Just tanking is bad for the morale imho. However, the Sixers "process" was better than tanking. They improved their players performance then traded them at their peak record, then traded every other asset that isn't bolted down.
Hindsight is 20/20... Nuggets did tank, as explained in the video, they jus didnt do it the tanking conventional way as we accustomed to. Great video, well chronicled. I can really appreciate teams that quietly go about the business acquiring money ball players without resorting to tanking, or going after free agents.
Nuggets fan since 2012. Gotta tell you, this video was accurate, and very informative as to the background of the organization, and the savvy and foresight with which moves were made, as well as the commitment to young talent to allow them to grow and become a cohesive team, which with examples of LA and the Celtics, is becoming a less and less valued concept, it seems. I did like to note though, that Shaq's only mvp winning season, he averaged 29, 14, and 4 assists. a absolutely phenomenal year, in which he averaged 40 minutes a game... If you were to extend Nikola's minutes to 40, he'd be averaging 24, 14 and 10 assists, along with a 30% three point shot, and he has also been more clutch than Lebron comparatively at this point in his each of their careers. So will he win MVP this year, without becoming some hot headed egomaniac, no. But the numbers do not lie. If Giannis or Harden win MVP, atleast consider that Jokic splits healthy minutes with another incredibly diverse talent in Mason Plumlee. Neither Giannis nor James have to split minutes with another player at their position the way that Jokic, willingly which I find incredibly important, does.
We will be tied for the longest playoff streak in nba history by the end of the season. Sure it will come to an end as all things do but once they do there will never be a team as dominant as the Spurs. The reason is because L3-6ron made it popular to go to a better situation in free agency. Then when snaKD did it, this free agent shit really got out of hand
@@foreignnut1962 well at the end you will not happy just only have long streak playoff year without having loud sound in playoff .. for me i rather break the streak for like 1 or 2 years for bounce back and make loud noise in playoff .. and yeah .. another team free agent situation is not your team problem as long as they dont take away your player .. look at this denver team we can easily say that free agent star doesnt want to come to denver .. but they still survive .. they are better every season .. but for me they still need 1 star remaining to make far run into playoff ..
I'm a Celtics fan but man hats off to Denver and their whole organisation. What a team for the future they have. As long as jokic doesn't change teams to go be extremely successful. *cough cough* Kevin Durant *cough cough*
Where even though the Spurs were given up for dead regard the DEPORTATION of K Leonard and injuries wholesale within the team, they kept getting up pardner. It would be nice to have Danny Green come back to the Spurs after his tour in Toronto is over. Will the Spurs ever FORGIVE K. Leonard? Nope! Not even. Yeah, the Nuggets are a very good team. Jo Jo Boy , ..... Damn! Pesky Murry, Harris, Plumlee studding up.
Gary Harris is a perfect SG for this team. Good defender, athletic, shoots the 3 well and helps make up for some of the defensive struggles of murray and Jokic
A couple of things. Iguodala had a foot out the door during the playoffs against the Warriors. The 'trade' was a sign and trade, not just a regular trade since he wasn't under contract. Second, during the NBA draft the agreement to trade is agreed upon but not announced until after the player is picked. This means the Jazz told the Nuggets to draft Gobert for them as part of the trade agreement. It's not like the Nuggets foolishly traded him on draft night. They drafted him FOR the Jazz because they agreed to trade the pick to them before they were on the clock.
You forgot to mention their GM Arturas Karnisovas who is probably one of the best GMs in the league right now. The guy had a tremendous career in NCAA and Europe, one of the all-time best scorers in Europe. He has been doing great things for nuggets since 2013
Great analysis man, they also managed to create a culture and a team identity that suits the modern high-pace-&-space NBA without any major road bump while dealing with problematic players like Mudiay, Faried and IT this season. I hope for the Nuggets' fans that Porter Jr can integrate smoothly into this team without creating any problem ego-wise, considering he was quite a high profiled prospect and had media drooling all over him.
@@danielfenning3902 Yep, while also managing his herniated discs rather well, until now. Knocks on wood. I also feel that Jokic's supreme skill set and quiet presence have put him in check, as Tim Duncan did in SA.
Yes but with his kind of injury it may be better for him to come off the bench as a Swiss-army knife like Iguodala in order to keep his minutes at a certain level. From what I know, he could become a Greg Oden type of player, his injury can be career-ending at worst and minutes-restricting at best if it woke up.
@@nickcrandell5852 Last news are he got another problem on his foot, the toes are touching the floor first instead of the heel, I hope he recovers from that too. It would be such a waste of talent if he doesn't heal from that now.
Excellent video, even as a Nuggets fan I didn’t know how we had gotten to this point. As we speak, they beat the Spurs in the first round and will face Portland.
Loved this video. Jokic and Siakam are my two favorite "non mainstream" super stars. They are their team's respective MVP regardless of what the rest of the league says.
Don't forget about Bol Bol. He is a skinny version of Jokic. And PJ Dozier can be good player in this league. The injuries to Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap, and Mason Plumlee is a blessing in a disguise. That let you know how deep this team is
You missed a major story man. During the playoff series against the warriors, while he was still on the Nuggets, Iggy was joining Mark Jackson and the warriors in team prayers before each game and according to George Karl in his book, Iggy was telling the Golden State Warriors the Nuggets plays and strategies for the game. After the warriors won the series, Iggy ended up getting a big contract by them the following off-season so his betrayal worked out for him in the end.
Gave the Jazz their rebuild. Gave Warriors and Blazers 2 incredible pieces in Iguodala & Nurkic as well in doing all of this.. But, still, very well done.
Great video. The Nuggets are a very underrated team. It sucks that they helped their rivals, but they'll beat the Jazz in seven if it comes down to it.
u dont have to, but if ur someone stuck in no man's land and your management is bad at drafting, sometimes tanking is the best option. Ala Orlando. They've been bad enough to be in the top 5 but not bad enough to get a top 3 pick , and then they always either strike out on a pick or give up to early on developing someone like Oladipo. At that point u might as well just tank and stock assets if ur gonna be that terrible on all fronts.
Theoretically, you can obtain good young players with a championship team. Trade some pieces when they are 32/33 for future draft picks, then the tank wont last as long.
Tanking (understood as losing a ton of games to get a high draft pick) doesn't really help a franchise. It hurts the players they already have and their culture, and high draft picks aren't a guarantee of good players. On the other hand, if you are rebuilding, trading players who will be too old when you finish the rebuild and trying to get as many draft picks as possible (if you have a lot of them, someone will develop into a good player) is the best strategy. You will still lose a lot, but you can try to win, so it doesn't hurt your culture nearly as bad and your young players get time on the court. When you have a solid core, then you can buy in exchange for draft picks that probably won't pan out before you lose the core you already have. It's the same thing the sixers did, and the same thing the bucks did, and the reason we talk about buyer teams and seller teams. What will get you in trouble is trying to trade for good players without an already developed core, that's what the nets did and what the Lakers seem to be doing. It's also a mistake tanking just to get a higher draft pick, and another just hope you land a great free agent. You need a basic structure already built, both a culture and actual players, before you put those prized, expensive assets you get in a trade and in free agency. Or at least that's how I see it
Fast foward a yr later and they ate a real threat in the western finals and Michael porter jr is not an issue he is a great player sad that jamal and mitchell could've made a career together for them being really good players
Who would think a year later the Nuggets would be playing the Lakers with LeBron and AD in the Western Conference Finals. Now the question will be answered, rebuild or superstars assemble? Nuggets in 7👀💪
In terms of the Mitchell trade, Denver wasn’t originally going to draft Mitchell but the jazz asked us to when we finalized the trade. It was still a bad move because we probably would have gotten OG annunoby who was a perfect fit
You got me. Thoroughly researched. Great video clips and photos. Seems professionally done. Count me as a subscriber. Looking forward to watching more videos. - Thanks
Damn, the nuggets are good. How the hell are the Spurs keeping up with them? Game 7 coming up. Whooey. Other teams are trading like crazy but the Spurs don't really make much moves and certainly don't trade away draft choices. What's the deal? Forbes? White? Who were they? Now? Very reliable. Nuggets are for real. Spurs? They keep winning, they don't get very high draft picks. Gay was written off. Belli here again. How do they do it?

To Kralju!!! jedan si od retkih koji se razume. Pozdrav i SAMO najbolje za tebe!!!!
Nuggets may have rebuilt without tanking but the Spurs haven’t rebuilt since the Twin Towers era. That was 23 years ago or something
Unfortunutely that might come to an end soon
@@colton4554 Maybe nxt year, not this year. Spurs clinched a playoffs spot now
the spurs rebuild is coming once pop retires so prepare yourself
From a nuggs fan that’s been here since the AI days,, good ass video and very informative, well done.
4:36 Jokic just leaves Chandler hanging 😂😂
And now they are champs, this aged great!
You're vids are so entertaining keep up the Good work LOW
your, YOUR, YOUR VIDS
I'm a Celtics fan but man hats off to Denver and their whole organisation. What a team for the future they have. As long as jokic doesn't change teams to go be extremely successful. *cough cough* Kevin Durant *cough cough*
You do realize Kevin Durant isn't the only one who did that right?
@@ericsmusic5927 I know heaps have done it like LeBron but KD is a snake man that's what I'm trying it say
So they went from barely ninth seed to convincing 2nd seed
Its a damn shame they play in the stacked west
Nah. Playing in the west shows how good they are.
I cant wait to see how mpj fits with this team. If it goes well the nuggets are are going to be a big problem moving forward
I´m still concerned that he might become an injure prone player with flashes of potential.
You forgot to mention their GM Arturas Karnisovas who is probably one of the best GMs in the league right now. The guy had a tremendous career in NCAA and Europe, one of the all-time best scorers in Europe. He has been doing great things for nuggets since 2013
Jokic is so good. He does all the things Westbrook needs to learn. The pass fakes get he's teammate so wide open.
He's fit into the culture perfectly
@@danielfenning3902 Yep, while also managing his herniated discs rather well, until now. Knocks on wood. I also feel that Jokic's supreme skill set and quiet presence have put him in check, as Tim Duncan did in SA.
Whos here after nugs kicked the heavily favored Clips?
Imagine being able to set up your own future and also setting up the jazzs future that's an impressive front office
im a simple man, I se joker I hit like
SirRoger mean jokic
Daddy Home I think he might me joker like his nickname
Christopher Sanchez that’s his nickname
Christopher Sanchez man oh man, how you even start
Christopher Sanchez oh man this dude is a lil kid
After the Raptors video I kind of expected this one
and they have Michael Porter, if he's comeback health...
Alexandre Santos If MPJ pans out it really is over for the league then lol
Yes but with his kind of injury it may be better for him to come off the bench as a Swiss-army knife like Iguodala in order to keep his minutes at a certain level.
From what I know, he could become a Greg Oden type of player, his injury can be career-ending at worst and minutes-restricting at best if it woke up.
Last week or so, they said he is healthy. He will be playing summer leagues
Jokic is deceptively athletic, he brings the ball up like a PG and throws like a top NFL QB, elite vision and does spin moves like a running back.
Don't forget about Bol Bol. He is a skinny version of Jokic. And PJ Dozier can be good player in this league. The injuries to Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap, and Mason Plumlee is a blessing in a disguise. That let you know how deep this team is
Jocik one of the smartest players out there
You missed a major story man.
You still on that shit. Let it go
You are forgetting the impact Plumlee has quietly made. The guy is a great defender and good offensive role player.
That guy can barely last more than 10 minutes in a game he fouls like crazy
Gave the Jazz their rebuild. Gave Warriors and Blazers 2 incredible pieces in Iguodala & Nurkic as well in doing all of this.. But, still, very well done.
Great video. The Nuggets are a very underrated team. It sucks that they helped their rivals, but they'll beat the Jazz in seven if it comes down to it.
They were very smart. It is a team sport but Gee Jokic brought so much to the table.
Hammers the point that you don't have to tank to rebuild, just like your previous video.
u dont have to, but if ur someone stuck in no man's land and your management is bad at drafting, sometimes tanking is the best option.
What an awesome video. Thanks. A really great insight. Keep it up LoW!
Three years later and this video has aged really well
This was nicely done. Congrats on your fine efforts.
Who here after him beeing mvp?😂
I’m here after them getting swept 😔
Or at least that's how I see it
This core won a chip….Cool find and prediction. You prob already did a look back and update. Nice analysis. 👍🏽
Amazing video! One of the best videos I've seen in a while!
Jokic is probably the best 2nd round pick ever
Fast foward a yr later and they ate a real threat in the western finals and Michael porter jr is not an issue he is a great player sad that jamal and mitchell could've made a career together for them being really good players
Just anothet example that u dont need to tank to win
or you find a steal in the 2nd round like jokic ..
they got lucky on a 2nd round savant
The Raptors just won without a single lottery pick on their roster.
L O W always winning. Another top video, great research and chronicle organization.
Anyone here after nuggets eliminated clippers in game 7 !
Two thumbs up on your video man!!!
Also got Bol Bol in the 2nd round in the 2019 draft too lol!
From Denver myself and very humbled to be a nuggets fan love the recognition
I believe Drafting Jokic made the Nuggets great
Great video, thanks for giving my nuggets some love
Love jokic hes one of my favorite players and might go down as one of the greatest centres EVER
Jokic and this year's nuggets team have been the best thing that happen to that franchise since the Melo era nuggets.
they were pretty good in 2013 with the best home record in the nba and a 57 win season led by iggy
Nuggets did good drafting all them good center but they know nikola was the one
Tnt should give you a job right now man! Hands down you make the most interesting videos on the nba I have seen anywhere. Fantastic job really,
Everyone just gonna ignore the fact that at 8:01 Beasley looks like he got photoshoped in
When the Nuggets guards play well they are incredibly tough to beat. That's a problem though as that does not happen enough.
Still trying to wonder why you dont keep up with the podcasts
how do you "try" to wonder lmao is it like challenging for u
Who would think a year later the Nuggets would be playing the Lakers with LeBron and AD in the Western Conference Finals. Now the question will be answered, rebuild or superstars assemble? Nuggets in 7👀💪
If they played in the east, they would be in the Finals every year for a decade.
This video has aged like fine wine. Jokic MVP now 🔥
The only reason I liked the nuggets was because that was the only team that I knew since they drafted me on 2k16😂😂
In terms of the Mitchell trade, Denver wasn’t originally going to draft Mitchell but the jazz asked us to when we finalized the trade. It was still a bad move because we probably would have gotten OG annunoby who was a perfect fit
I hated when my Knicks made that deal for Melo. Gave up way too much at the time.
You got me. Thoroughly researched. Great video clips and photos. Seems professionally done. Count me as a subscriber. Looking forward to watching more videos. - Thanks
Damn, the nuggets are good. How the hell are the Spurs keeping up with them? Game 7 coming up. Whooey.
Other teams are trading like crazy but the Spurs don't really make much moves and certainly don't trade away
draft choices. What's the deal? Forbes? White? Who were they? Now? Very reliable. Nuggets are for real. Spurs?
They keep winning, they don't get very high draft picks. Gay was written off. Belli here again. How do they do it?
just a testament to pops greatness as a coach
honestly i would have never thought. the nuggets are impressive
Take Jokic off the team and how many games will they win?
watching this during the 2023 finals!
