oh my god 😭😭😭 i just made the transition from procreate to krita and ive been fighting for my LIFE trying to figure out clipping layers bc i CANNOT shade without it and this is the first tutorial i’ve found that actually explains how to get more than one layer to clip to a single object 😭😭😭 thank you thank you thank you!
I've watched so many tutorial videos and this is one of the first ones that has made sense. Thank you. A lot of the tutorials that I have watched often mentioned masks but not what they were or how to get them.
OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I couldn't figure out how this works for the life of me, and since I'm a visual learner, reading the steps online sure as hell didn't work. You just saved me another 30 minutes of useless reading!! I am for ever in your debt XD
Thank you SO MUCH. I keep seeing this technique used, but never explained, so I've been trying to follow rapid mouseclicks and never figured it out. I wish this had been the top result, would have saved me a couple hours of frustration.
I watched 2 10min long videos. And I had to watch them several times because it was overcomplicated explained. I expected nothing and my mind got blown. This elevated my workflow comfort by... atleast up from 0 to something
FINALLY SOMEONE THAT MAKES ME UNDERSTAND. It is so difficult, this was literally the 5 vid i watched to understand, in paint tool sai 2 and medibang clipping is really ez and you dont need any group .-.
THANK YOU!! JESUS YOU DONT KNOW HOW SO MANY ARTISTS ONLINE FRUSTRATE ME WHEN THEY DO THEIR SHADINGS AND CREATE NEW LAYERS AND I SIT THERE LIKE A WOOD STOOL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THEY'RE ALL DOING!! But, seriously, thanks man!
Thank you so much for getting rid of the white background, especially for those of us who use dark mode. I'm still confused but that's probably due to other stuff going on.
I was trying to figure out how to do this correctly in krita omg lol. Coming from manga studio 5 it was called a clipping layer. Buts since its outdated, krita is the new go to free drawing program!
Took me like 30 minutes to figure out that my background got filled in with white using the fill tool and it messed up the masks ability to work properly. After backtracking to the mistake and getting the layer bact to transparent it worked perfectly.
AH!!! IT FINALLY MAKES SENSE!!! NOW I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING!! Kai, you're the bomb diggity.
YOU are the bomb of the diggity.
@@TutsByKai aww I'm blushing
Yes same. I tried to figure it out by myself it didn't work. But this will help.
I am now going to start using the term "bomb diggity"
My shift to digital art is gonna be so much easier, thank you
