Wow wow wow ive been watching SOO many videos about layers and alphas and all that jazz. NOTHING has helped me understand it until i watched this! Thank you very much 2 year old video still holds up thank you thank you!
ive been looking through various layer tutorials, and this is by far the best one Its straightforward, to the point and you dont spend 10 minutes talking about a specific thing, you show it whilst you explain it Honestly, you are a rarity in these kind of tutorials that actually helps
All those times of me keeping my colors from going over the lines like a kindergarten are over! really easy to understand and I really like the visual examples, Thank you.
This was by far the best tutorial I've seen. You explained everything plainly and succinctly. Most tutorials seem like they're just babbling to people who already understand the software
holy mary mother of joseph this is the best tutorial i have ever seen, Im genuenly amazed by how well you explained evrything, not overly complex, not oversimplified to the pont you dont understand, just perfect
Damn, the video is about 2 years now, and is the first time the algorithm helped me! I'm not joking is the first time I found an actual explanation about the layers and their use. Thank you so much for this.
This tutorial is great. I was using Krita with basic understanding at this but having it lay down like that will make my future projects much easier. Thank you for this.
I'm not saying anything that everyone else hasn't already said, but I just have to say that you did an incredible job explaining this in the most simple and straightforward way possible. This is something that I couldn't even begin to figure out how to explain to someone else, yet you just taught it like it was 2nd grade curriculum. Thank you!
I have always wanted to try krita and being able to use the layer feature seamlessly was my first concern. Thank you so much for making this clear and concise explanation on the layer. Now I have the confidence to fully move to using krita
Excellent video! I've been searching for clipping mask tutorials for Krita but haven't been able to find any that made sense, so thank you for making this so easy to understand!
Thank you for this video! I was always confused about use of Alpha in other tutorials but your explanation was quick, to the point and easy to understand.
This is the first time I've seen alpha lock and alpha inherit explained in a way that made sense. Clear and succinct, a lot of information presented with elegant simplicity. Thank you!
I’m on my ‘daunting’ journey of transitioning from traditional to digital art. I’ve gotten lost in YT trying to find a video that explains this that’s digestible for me and my smooth 🧠 and randomly this video was in my feed, which is by far the best I’ve found. So THANX! If U have more vids explaining more of Krita, I’m sure I’ll be back.
I've watched many of explanation videos over the years as I forget how to do man of the functions in Krita. This is simply the best and straightforward explanation and demonstration of how these functions work. Great job!
You nailed this tutorial. I found most others trying to explain this functionality a little frustrating and kept looking at more tutorials. With your tutorial it finally clicked! Thanks so much!
omg im so mindblown. krita was a whole new learning curve for me and there were so many things i didnt understand. your video instructions were so clear. thanks for the video. im so excited to use krita now
This tutorial explained this layering system beautifully to me! I'm so excited to become more proficient with Krtia. Thank you so so so much for a comprehensive tutorial, it means a LOAD!
This video literally helped me instantly; the second I finished the video, I got how to work with layers and finished my first piece with Krita to get me out of the rut I was in. Finishing the coloring took me an hour
Simple, helpful, straightfoward, & detailed. I love how you teach us the basic of alpha layer. Thank you for your explanation! It really clears my confusion
I used Photoshop for a while, so some of this works like that program. The best part was your explanation - I've been apprehensive in trying Krita until this video. I hope to find more.
Thank you for this tutorial! I've needed to know how to do clipping masks for years now and nothing else explained it in a way I could understand (because my brain is very small and smooth) Now I can stop going through the painful process of erasing every pixel over the lines
Why did You stop making videos, this one is very very good, short, compact and on point with content, easy description, easy comparisons and analogy. Also there is demand for that stuff Sir. Please continue don't give up, monetize this channel and go make some noise!
Comments like yours really motivate me, you are very kind, thank you! Between life happening, art block, and some projects, I have neglected my youtube channel. But I'm going to work hard and try to start video production in a few month again, I promise. Thanks again, best wishes. Cheers!
This is exactly the information I needed! I’ve been going through so many different tutorials and slowly losing motivation, but this video had everything I needed to know and now I feel motivated to get back into Krita. Thanks so much for this!
Thank you so much for the Clipping mask tutorial! It was quick, straightforward, and easy to understand. I am coming from SAI and CSP. I was more used to how those programs did their clipping, but now I don't feel like I need to use CSP as much. I read the Krita manual, but I'm more of a visual learner... So videos like this mean a lot to me! Just still learning how to animate in Krita, since I'm using CSP for that right now. Anyway, I'm so grateful for open source and it's cool to see more artists using it! :^D
Thanks for this great tutorial! I'm coming from Adobe suite and so far I love Krita, but I had a lot of questions about layers. you answered all of them in less than 10 minutes.
I'm very new to Krita so thanks for explaining the Layers feature! However, you are going to FAST!! You have to remember people looking at your video are probably new to Krita and trying to follow everything but if you just click here, then click there in quick succession, we wont be able to keep up, and nobody has time to look at a video more than once. So please, slow down in future videos. I would only subscribe, if it's easy to follow. But you did a good job explaining. Peace
Absolutely stupendous tutorial. Critical information delivered quickly, with clear use of examples and enough detail to make it practical. Thanks a million.
This is insane how actually good you delivered all this information. Thank you and wish you all best.
