1970 I was 9 years old. At the age of 60 I do own a 1970 Camaro. I got a hand me down 1972 Camaro when I begun to drive My parents bought it new in 72.love my Camaro
I have a 1970 Camaro when I was a senior in high school. That was a goal of mine to have that car before I graduated out of high school. The car was awesome I should never have traded it in for a Saab
The 1970 Camaro was a midyear model that was introduced to the motoring public in February 1970 at the Chicago auto show at the International Amphitheater on the Southside of Chicago.
My buddy had a 70 split bumper ....man that car was a rattle box in 1995 he sold it to a junkyard for $500.......mind you this was a rust free Arizona car that his grandmother bought brand new though i don't like GM vehicles and they rattle a lot giving it to a junkyard was just dumb
If you ever got to drive one of these era Camaros you know exactly how great they handled. Fantastic car.

Ron, I’m also 60 and my first car was a 1972 Rally Sport. Purchased in 1978, I still drive it to this day. Orange with black cloth/vinyl interior.

If your buddy had a split bumper then he had a Rally Sport. Cool
Song?
😍!
This was better than the first gen, IMO. Too bad the 70's being the 70's had to crush the potential this car and its Firebird sister had.
Hey, that's the guy from Sea Hunt and Airplane!
Yes Lloyd Bridges
I bought my 1972 camaro z28 rs in 1991. Finally restoring it after sitting in my garage for 30 yrs.
A true RS in the sand and saltwater? 😡😡😡

@@raccoon681 so sad!! I’ll never let my SS/RS GO!!
Great car. Terrible advertising. Talking about its road abilities while driving on the beach?
No convertible offered......
